It should be based on your intelligence, your work ethic, etc... And as far as making up for all those years. I'm not to blaim for slavery, I wasn't personally there. My ancestors came to America slightly after WWII from Germany. I live in the north, segregation wasn't huge there. Why blaim all white people for the mistakes of their ancestors. Blaim the responsables ancestors, or blaim the ones alive that were there and did something. I hate when people use that arguement! It's reverse discrimination. You seem to say that racism is old, that it does not happen today. It does. We need to counteract that racism with AA.

We can't compete with the lunch room for sales, and we can't sell junk food. Stupid laws.

First of all, our buget is really low. Most of the stuff we got for the things were donated. Second of all, our student parties are alreadt like that with dunk tanks and things like that, and student councel gave us part of the profits of the last party. How low? Give a price range, just saying the word "low" doesn't really help. The raffle cost about $6. I would say $1-$20. Unless it is really awesome.

Cool! We have a concert piano-player named Emma at our school. She offered to play so kids could come to the gym and hear her play (and miss class) I'm not sure that $7 would be right for us, but I still like it!

The magazine thing isn't such a good idea, becuase our school already uses it to get money for otner stuff. I like the food sale thing though!

My school is raising money to build a dam in Kenya. I am on a homeroom group to try and raise money for this The dam will give clean water to about 2,000 people, and will cost $6,000. If anybody has any ideas for a fundraiser, please post them. We have already raised about $1,000 through a raffle and coin drives. We need to get the money before the school year ends. The ideas need to be reasonable for a school with about 800 students and their parents, so no Live Aid concerts or Bono or anything like that.
