Sup Jesse! been a while! How is everything? ____________ Hey everyone I know it has been a while since I have posted. I finally quit RuneScape! It began with me buying Diablo III then followed by Guild Wars 2. More recently however I have been playing a lot of Poker (Mainly Texas Hold'em) and really enjoy the game. I play on a few online sites, but its hard living in the States with the larger sites not being able to opperate. I did manage to stumble upon this one website called Hog Wild Poker Leagues which offers weekly Freerolls and Monthly Prize series! And it has no cost to you. It has been a great place with a fun community to hone my skills and play poker as much as I like! I know this isn't a typical post for Tip.it, but I know a lot of you are involved in the gambling community like I was and may find this entertaining. Now on to the reason for this post! ____________ My Most Memorable Poker Game Toward the end of September of this year I was getting quite vested in poker. It was taking up most of my freetime outside of school with online play, reading strategy and listening to podcasts. I had a trip planned to the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS on October 3rd for my friends birthday. I decided (as a poor college student) to take $200 with me and play some $1/$2 or $1/$3 at the Hard Rock and the Beau Rivage. The first day I was there I spent time with friends but I managed to find an hour to watch some hands play at the table. Since this was my first time playing live outside of home games I wanted to be sure I didn't just jump in and lose my bankroll right off. After watching for a while I left and joined my friends for dinner. Jump forward a few hours to that night. We were at the Beau Rivage having drinks and dancing and around 2 am against my better judgement (I had been drinking) I sat down at the Hard Rock $1/$2 table with my $200 and began playing. During the first 30 minutes I played a few hands and was up to about $280. I was really enjoying myself and as the drinks wore off I was beginning to focus more on good gameplay. What happened next was my very first "all-in" hand and the first time I got the rush of adreneline from playing a big (to me) pot. I am in the Big Blind position and the dealer sends the cards out. Play folds around to the Small Blind who limps in and I Check with 57o. The flop falls 5c5x6x so I flopped trip 5s. After the small blind leads out I call. Turn brings the Jc, Still my three 5s are good and after the Small Blind bets out I call, I am trying to slow play because I am putting the SB on a flush draw. The river brings the best possible card for me, 7c which gives me a Full House and has 3 to a flush on the board. The small blind bets 70% of my stack and I decide to re-raise all-in, SB insta-calls...... The Showdown: I ask the SB "Flush?" to which he responds "Full House". Now 4 thoughts go through my mind, either he flopped a Full House with 56 and I have him beat, he flopped a Full House with 66 (which I ruled out because of no preflop action), he turned one with J5, or we are going to split the pot with 57. My heart is racing a mile a minute as he turns over the 56o. I then show my 57o and scoop the pot. The gentleman gets angry, but him slowplaying the flop ended up costing him the pot. When I look down at the $630 in front of me I am happy. I stick around for another 30 minutes or so and finally leave when the table decides its time to sleep. I know this isn't the most action-packed game or even the highest stakes, but I will always remember it being my first time playing live poker and my first large pot. Gold prices over the last week (bulk not small sale): .45-.50/m -> .20/m -> .38/m (for a matter of hours when patch was announced) -> .20-.25/m and no one sees it going up for a while as an estimated 500B was dumped into markets on well known sites and another 1 TRILLION+ was dumped to bulk buyers/resellers overseas. This will effect the economy for a long time and especially rare prices will be so over inflated that it will be near impossible for a normal runescaper to achieve one. (more so than it already is). Back to building my shard collection with how worthless GP is now. Peace, Vann *information was obtained from post on major gold selling sites, word of mouth of sellers/buyers I personally know, and photos of accounts with multiple max shard stacks. If this post needs to be removed that is fine.

Or you got your calculations wrong and it was October 2002 which is far more likely. It should state on his account settings date that recoveries were set though, and if it does indeed say recoveries were set 28th Feb. 2002 then his account couldn't have been made in oct. 2002, thus making his Oct. 2001 claim far more likely Pretty much all recovery questions set from the start of runescape until up to somewhere 2003/4 show up as 28 feb 2002. The date is not real. Umm, yes that is a real date. And my recoveries currently say they were set this year bc they were removed when I was hacked, but I have pictures of my account with them being in Feb of 02. My first account was started Summer of 01 with this account in October. I do hope it gets resolved because I want that cape!! Ha Peace, Vann

I'm quite annoyed with the 10 year calculations. My account was made in October of 2001, my recoveries were set Feb 28, 2002 yet I have 196 days left. Typically RuneScape is good at responding via twitter, but today they aren't answering questions worth a damn. Hope this gets resolved. Not that I really play anymore, but I want the cape! [hide= Barrows Discussion] I'm sure certain bosses and places will get tweaked. Do weaknesses really make a big deal? It does. For example the 90's in fight cave: I'm maging the fight caves with Ice blitz... 95% of the time I miss @ the 90's.... Even the ability's miss. [/hide] I did a barrows run as well. Torva, steads, neitz, barrows gloves, whip and Ee offhand. Prayed melee deflect on Dh and soulsplit the rest. Was fairly quick (can't do 7th brother) and I only used 1 dose ovl, 1 dose prayer renewal, and 3 dose super prayer. so obvs you can power melee them just like old system. Peace, Vann

It's a graphical glitch. You cannot pick it and if you log out and back in it disappears. /discussion

Woo we can finally make our rs character look like a Demon Hunter from D3! And we will get orbs just like in D3! Maybe they will add Diablo as a boss next?? /troll Seriously looking forward to this update. I just hope the wands release have a glowing/particle effect and orbs come in various colors bc all I care about is cosmetic as I don't skill/pvp/pvm and i just stand around gambling. Peace, Vann
