  1. Well he's got an excuse this season - it's not his squad. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the long run though.
  2. They made the same approach to everyone that was on the shortlist and who had a club. Edit - Kevin Keegan is back at Newcastle. They say you should never go back, we'll see....
  3. GTA IV (obviously) Haze CoD4 (I plan on buying on Friday when I have the cash) Pro Evolution 2009 (it'll come out late 2008) New Hitman Game (hopefully it will be out this year)
  4. Vertigo - I've seen it plenty of times but I watched it tonight for some post-exam entertainment. I like Hitchcock and this is one of his best, it's never a disappointment.
  5. That thread is about European football, the OP is asking about lower league sucsess in the FA cup. Big difference :P While it began as just a European football thread it's now become the de facto thread for all of football (the name should probably change to reflect that).
  6. Ah but you forget he was also involved in the Berti Vogts era. Plus McLeish had Andy Watson & Roy Aitken in with him, so Burn's role would have been limited quite a bit. I wonder why Craig Levein isn't on the shortlist, he's pretty good tactically and would demand respect.
  7. It has to be between Burley or McGhee for me. Souness has proven time after time that he's a useless manager - a good motivator but tactically poor. Where as I see Tommy Burn being our Steve McClaren, he's been around as part of the coaching staff for a long time (like McClaren), he's never struck me as tactically astute (he ran Celtic during the Rangers 9 in a row era) and he doesn't seem like he can rule through fear or command instant respect.
  8. While it's true that Sony will probably have had to shell out a lot for this, I'm sure there will be profit in it for them. Big corporations like Sony aren't in the habit of spending cash without aiming to squeeze profit out of it.
  9. I agree but I think they can basically force the market into going to a HD format (once there is a clear winner in this war) just by gradually reducing support & investment in the standard DVD format. Price does put me off both HD formats at the moment but if they removed any alternative (regular DVD) then I would end up going HD.
  10. Munich I just got around to watching this for the first time after getting on dvd at Christmas (I missed it at the cinema when it was first released). I enjoyed this, it was an interesting story about Israels response to the Munich Olympic massacre. I thought Eric Banna was great in this.
  11. If it doesn't harm me or anyone else, then it should be no concern of me or anyone else. I say live and let live.
  12. Coincidentally the account english4093 was created on the same day as l0l0lpur3 made his last post (presumably the day he was banned). Then coincidentally you carry on his point with the same poor and unfounded arguments. You even described l0l0lpur3 as; Which sounds as if you are in fact l0l0lpur3. Not to mention his argument about being English and your genius choice of username - english. Does it really take a genius to draw a conclusion here?
  13. I don't know if they always sent CR, they might send something else (if anything at all). It just came through the post at random one day.
  14. Sign up for the Playstation Network - they sent me Casino Royale (Bluray) for free a few weeks after I did it.
  15. You know how IMDB is, newer films always tend to get over-inflated scores. It probably has to do with the average age of an IMDB user and internet users in general. Thats not to say that younger people (lets say under 18s for the sake of the argument) have poor taste, it's just that they tend to not have seen as wide a variety of film to make decent comparisons.
  16. Yeah I didn't know that much about him until I listened to his speech where he confirmed he'd run for the Democratic nomination via the BBC. The speech impressed me which is why I looked up more information about him.
  17. If you look at it in terms of race then demographically Iowa is one of the worst states for Obama as it's over 90% white but yet he still won it. New Hampshire has a higher ethnic population by percentage as do many other states. I personally don't race is have or will have as much impact on this election as I or anyone else would have thought. That being said I like Barack Obama because he is fundamentally what I look for in a politician - charismatic, smart, and seems to have some deep rooted ideals which appear to reflect my views in many areas. I hope he wins, not for the sake of seeing a black man in the white House but because he is the best candidate
  18. According to word; I don't know... lmao we're so far off topic and I'm not too bothered about the spelling so lets not go on about it any further because it really doesn't matter.

Well then everyone on the planet is a foreigner of some kind because people have moved from country to country since people have inhabited the planet, maybe not to the same extent as now but thats rather irrelevant to the point.

I'm sure if you look back in your own family tree there will be somebody who wasn't born in the UK - nobody is 100% anything. What is your definition of a British person? You've already stated that it doesn't matter if somebody was born and raised here. Does that mean you have to be a white, westerner to be classed as British? Edit - alot of those guys were the second and even third generations in the UK, some of their parents were also born and raised here.

The 21/7 attempted bombers were all born and raised in the UK. Actually forget that lets just blame immigration for everything. Lets not blame Canada, lets blame immigrants, and foreigners!
  22. Ahh, one mistake in a post I made at 2:36am this morning isn't too bad lol. Although it does serve me right.
  23. Translation pl0x? I'll attempt to translate: Sorry, I'm just in a sarcastic mood.
  24. To be fair though, you could really see both of those endings coming lol :P .

Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism or 9/11.
