Top Gear Hammonds crashed car up for sale
Top Gear/BBC doesn't own the car, it's owned by somebody else so none of that money will go into the show.

Stereotypes
I'm sober, infact I've never been drunk. I fail to see how it is perfect if [wagon] like you live there. Everyone seems to think we have a chip on our shoulder and you're making that stereotype seem true.

UEFA Champions League/Cup - Euro 2008 - Leagues & Cups
http://www.lacoctelera.com/myfiles/quefuede/Macaulay_Culkin_0005.JPG[/mg] I was surpised too. It's mind boggling to think Copenhagen made Man Utd struggle not so long ago but got slapped by Aberdeen. Hehe, lets see if they can do the same against Bayern Munich. :o LOL, hope they do the same against Rangers tomorrow ;) is that to make up for Celtic's poor performance against Hibs or generally just to make up for Celtic's recent poor league run lol. :D

Marriage, whats your views?
Forced arranged marriage sould be illegal. If somebody agrees with an arranged marriage then I have no problem, parents forcing it upon their children is barbaric though.

The Hobbit - Now its official
You mean like all the foreign films which are slated as "Quentin Tarantino Presents..." I hate when studios do stuff like that, how thick do they think people are, they pulled the same crap when they had Speilberg "Excecutive Produce" Transformers in order to deflect from the fact that it's really a Michael Bay film. That being said, I don't really care too much about "The Hobbit." I didn't care too much for the first 2 LOTR films and refused to see the 3rd, because of that I'll probably give this a miss.

Are the UK's laws on alcohol causing problems?
In my opinion it's not the law that is the problem it's our culture. We as a culture associate getting wasted (not just one or two drinks) with a great night out, which now and then is fair enough but for alot of people it's a regular thing. Being able to drink alot is seen as a badge of honour. Think about it, how many times have you wound somebody up about not being able to hold their drink? The Friday/Saturday night piss-up is just part of the routine nowadays. It's normal for people to get wasted every weekend and we've all become used to it. Sure, that leads to alot of other problems like violence and in the long term, liver disease but putting up the price of alcohol won't change that much in the long term. The government could put the legal limit up to 21 like in America but under-agers would still get drunk, it doesn't make a difference. Don't get me wrong, I like a drink and have done for a long time. I like to relax with a drink and sometimes I like to get wasted just like a large proportion of our society. The difference is I know when I stop before I'm too much of a nuisance to myself and others (never been sick when drunk) but alot of people don't. They think they'll look soft or won't fit in if they don't. It's worse up here in Scotland. We're internationally known for our drinking, it affects our perception abroad as people associate us with drinking whiskey. I'm part Irish too, another group that has a reputation for liking a drink. Anyway, the problem is how we view alcohol, that's the difference between us and the French, the Italians and the Spanish, not our laws but us. Until we change you'll see the same problems again and again.

My Problem With Rap Music...
How can you bait an argument and then try to preempt any response by saying that other people are causing an argument? You're causing the argument by posting your nonsense. Is it just me or is this thread just becoming more pointless with every post (this included)? Everyone is just going round in circles here and there's no real discussion. This thread is as well being locked for its futility.

What movie(s) did you last see?
I don't hate you lol. I understand why a historian would have problem with historical errors. I've just never understood why people single out Braveheart for its errors but don't do the same with other films. Just because I'm Scottish doesn't mean I have a pathological hatred of anyone who dislikes/critiques the film, it's a decent film but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. I never singled out Braveheart. Sorry, I wasn't meaning you specifically I meant people in general.

Scone or Skon?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scone_%28bread%29 http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/wells/su ... -icphs.pdf Since we made it, we should get to name it. Therefore it should be skon.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Every time I read about Braveheart, that is the critique that is thrown at it. It's annoying because it's no more inaccurate than any other Hollywood historical epics - Spartacus, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator etc. all have historical in them but aren't criticised because of that. It's just something I've never understood. If anything should annoy you about Braveheart is Mel Gibson's Scottish accent. An Aussie trying to sound like a 13th century Scotsman....come on.

Hatton vs Mayweather [Boxing]
I just ordered it about an hour ago. I'm supporting Hatton, I like his all attack style of boxing, it makes for great veiwing and I like him as a personality, he's always funny, seems like a regular guy you could meet in any pub in the country and he isn't afraid to have a laugh at himself. I've never liked Mayweather, I've always found his style quite boring (although it works so I don't blame him) and that made so clear when he fought De La Hoya earlier in the year. I don't mind his flamboyant personality or his arrogance, it's his job to try to sell the fight and thats his way to do it so fair play to him on that. As for a prediction, I don't have one. This fight could really go either way, Mayweather's brittle hands and Hatton's tendency to cut could be a deciding factor tonight. If Hatton is able to get in close he'll hurt Mayweather just like he hurt Castillo but it's just so hard to stay inside with a guy who moves as well as Mayweather.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Pretty much all you can expect from a movie that's based on a video game. There's few exceptions... except maybe Silent Hill Yeah I wasn't expecting too much to be fair but I got roped into watching it with some mates.

What movie(s) did you last see?
I just got back from watching Hitman tonight. It wasn't up to much, it had a poor plot that was full of holes. Can anyone say; bad acting? loose ends?

A lot did, a lot didn't.

Is America Full?
It's ironic that a nation of immigrants is so worried about Mexican immigrants just like in the past when there was worries about the Irish and Italian immigrants who both came to America and contributed a great deal to the country. What happened to "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free?"

What do you hate?
I have flaws, one of them is my short temper and lack of patience. After reading this though I don't think I'm so bad. Just calm down and don't get so wound up at stupid little things like this. It's pretty sad to get wound up by questions in an online game and Star wars trivia.

Journalists
Do you think all journalists who do that want to? Or do you not think some are pressured to publish what the editor wants. Some maybe get pressured into doing it, but you would think most of them would quit if that happened to them. It's a job though, being a journalist is what puts food on their table at the end of the day and if they quit for something like that they would find it difficult to find work elsewhere as well. What editor would want to employ a person who refuses to do what his editor asks?
