1. That sounds wise. At least then we can look back on this and see that some good came from it! :P Handy for Barrows though. We should go again sometime! I can't wait for my first proper Barrows drop! :D Lol go for it. Either cooking or flethcing you can get 99 in literally a couple to a few weeks with these two, so that's a trimmed cape in a month. Well worth doing! Thanks for your support. As for the 99, me and Mc suspect we'll get it at Monday/Tuesday. It obviously depends, but I'll post a notice on the title post with details, so check back here. Good luck with all your goals, and go for 99 in fletch/cook. Great way to get into power training.
2. YES. DO NOT DO SHARKS FOR 99 COOKING!!! They is a nightmare to sell! Nice going to Barrows for the first time. I learnt a lot from it. Shame the chest isn't more amiable to newbies :
3. Agreed. There's no doubt in my mind that the architect isn't to blame considering that bridge was in use for some 40 years before this incident. I'm not too sure how US politics works at a local level, but the bridge was examined last year and was reported as fine. However, in 2001, a report was released which said corrosive metal may have an effect on the strength of the structure, although it didn't say if the bridge could be described as "fatigued" from this. The fact that this warning was ignored would certainly point at ignorance from the local authorities IMO...
4. A calculator isn't an alternative to basic Mental Maths. However, if you insist on a calculator, then I'd just get a scientific one. I dunno what age bracket "middle-School" is, but you can use it later on, so it saves money. :P
5. Lol whatever, an expert never blames luck. : I will be going to Barrows later today hopefully. If Mc gets his sorry arse online. 1,500+ Total level and I'm a Barrows virgin... I might go for about 5 runs, I dunno we'll see how it goes. I'll start a new thingie on here though showing the results. Also, me and Mc have stopped with the sharks. It's an absolute nightmare trying to sell them, not least because PKers can't seem to understand plain bloody English. IE "100+" doesn't mean I'll accept offers for 20K cash @ 900ea per shark -.- We're going back to lobbies. Well, I am. He's having bad luck selling. Maybe he's just nooby (:P) but anyways, it's gonna be about 37K lobbies from here.
6. Lol... I actually find that argument funny since we at no point elect a leader in this country. The party who has the most confidence of the House of Commons elects their own leader, and then (s)he becomes Prime Minister, not the other way round. I think he's talking in regards to the lack of a leadership race and/or vote for the Labour party. The Labour Party had a leadership contest... no-one else was strong enough to run against Brown. I don't really see a problem with that, unfortunetely the Daily Mail does, but I didn't see them complaining when Tory Prime Ministers have come into power in a similar fashion.

8. What are you trying to say here? You wouldn't allow anyone to ask questions about clue scrolls? I thought this forum was for discussion? Pokemama has actually pointed out the flawedness of that point. Above all else, that post would be contradictory to what I said in my last post anyway, so you can pretty take it as read I've changed my opinion from that time.
9. From yesterday: And from Tears of Guthix today: Already done neeb! And I soo would have ownt you if I had the same as you in TOG today! You had 92, I had 80 with 100 QP less. I easily beats you and you know it! :P
10. If I'm perfectly honest, not that I've ever really seen it or used it, but I don't see the point in having a Barrows Blog in BlogScape when there's like five blogs on the front page alone with people's... Barrows Blog. I'd suggest removing the Barrows Blog (with warning for users to remove any pics/posts), then setting up a new Sticky for Clue scrolls in its place. I'm not a mod though, so I wouldn't necessarily know what's best for it and I may have overlooked a fairly obvious point. My apologies if I have.
11. Please don't quote me when I said crap. Actually, I dunno, is that even a swear? I don't think technically it is, not that you can have a technical swear word... anyways! :P This would be the jusitification I accept from the administration: It may only be 0.1sec on a 52KB/sec connection, but I can understand that adds up and gets quite annoying. However, here's something to think about. There was a large site I went on once. Its owner and admin had a signature size of, wait for it, 97KB! TBH, it was no better than any I've seen on these forums either. Just an indication that file size doesn't equal high quality.
12. Actually, the majority of people did support Lenin. That argument would only be true if the majority were fighting against Lenin. Since Lenin's target was predominantly the bourgeousie, which had been heavily smashed after three wars of war with Germany and Austria, I doubt it could be argued Lenin was fighting against the majority. The action of storming the palace itself may have been a coup, but the actions that followed were populist movements. Anyways, back on-topic, America wants to set up a losting peace in Iraq as a beacon to the rest of the Middle-East. However, it cannot possibly hope to acheive this while it's trying to force political leaders to the negotiating table. Now, these terrorist cells in Iraq aren't only consisting of a few hundred people, they reporesent a significant proportion of the population. If what America wants is Democracy, then these poeple's views will have to be taken into account, or else it would cease to be Democracy. The fact is, these people hold some power in Iraq's future, and if what you've chosen is a Democractic government to replace Saddam, then these people will have to be persuaded to join negotiations. Or else Democracy fails in Iraq. Hence why the American-Style "Shoot 'em first, ask questions later" form of combat isn't working, and won't ever work on this one...
13. TBH, it baffles me why Scotland feels a need for its own independance. It has so much more gain from being part of a bigger Britain than being on its own. This will in turn damage your economy, and make Alan Salmond look like a complete idiot for even suggesting the idea. If I'm perfectly honest, the whole issue of independance has little logic to it, and was just a gimmick for the SNP to get into power. It actually worries me you elected a nationalist party into power... deeply. :| The left is need for a strong leader. Someone who will be seen to actively question the right-wing conservatism of America. I actually think it's this that's hurt the Labour Party most. It almost seemed like Tony Blair has right-wing when he got along with Bush so well. The way that Brown looked much more comfortable with the Un than he did with Bush's antics in the golf buggy will go down well with a lot of left-wing voters, who were previously disillusioned to the Liberal Democrats after the almost blind cooperation with Bush. As for the Tories, he's dealt with them incredibly well. Pushing on issues like drugs, which Cameron simply doesn't feel comfortable with. He may not be good at PMQs, but that really doesn't matter anymore. After the Blair era, and looking at how Cameron's gimmecky approach to policy has backfired massively, I think it's fair to say people are fed up with that side of politics. The fact is the Tories can't take Labour at a General Election. In fact, I actually think the Labour party's actually gaining in popularity, something which hasn't happened to a government since WWII. So, all in all, I think Brown, and the Labour Party in general, is doing a fantastic job at this moment.
14. Above all else, information like that is really our responsibility to put onto the main site. I can see how topics would go wildy off-topic into "Rate this" threads, so I 100% support. EDIT: By that I meant all issues regarding help and methods of doing the Clues, not the rewards themselves.
15. I would possibly say that the Sig's size needs to be increased by about 5KB, but that's it. Having said that, my opinion doesn't hold much weight, and I can fully understand the Administrators' decision to keep it at its current size. As said before, signatures are exactly that, a unique mark of who you are. They're not designed to be a mini-blog of your RS adventures, plus a place for any other random crap (excuse my language, but I really can't think of any other word to describe half the stuff I see... -.-).
16. Libertarians maintain the doctrine of free will, this doesn't mean they are anti-interventionist. It could be very much argued from their point of view that going to war in Iraq to remove an evil tyrant and free the Iraqi people is a prefectly justifiable reason for declaring war. I doubt neoconservatives would support the war... I was more referring to their vision that for anyone to be free, they must live under a Democracy, which is certainly a belief I seem to pick up from talking to these people. I just personally disagree with that. Take Russia for example. The majority of people decided to overthrow the Democratic Provisional Government and elect Lenin as their new Socialist Leader, but I wouldn't say from that point they ceased to be free. Maybe later on, but not at the point they lost their Democracy.
17. I dunno what brightness your monitor is, but each post is divided by an altered background for alternative posts. The title post is white, the next is grey, the next is white and so on and so forth...
18. Welcome to RuneScape. A loveable rogue.
19. good luck with getting that Master Wand. Just don't get too bored, 'coz it's gonna take ages. : And if Mc's gonna (literally) spam other peep's blogs, I'm getting in on the act! :P Ginger Warrior's Revolutionary Blog I already added you on mine
20. Near enough everyone skills, we knew that. I think this poll needed to be a bit more specific. Combat training, or skills training, or questing, for example. There are groups that fit into all three, which are all very distinct in their own right. However, little whine aside, I voted skilling. 99 Cooking FTW!
21. that's not a real word kinda what i was thinking. sorry if im not ready to condemm thousands of people to death. hmm, interesting logic, it sounds like you would rather people die than us make them unhappy. life>happieness Since both of you are incapable of picking up on typing errors, allow me to help you: Also, this point makes me laugh from someone who initially supported the war: Why did you go to war then? Did you expect a war where people don't die? You miss the point completely. They're going to die anyway, your presence there is doing nothing to save them, you're just delaying the inevitable.
22. Ahem: And all the userbars have been updated, including the percentage bars. I passed 90 Cooking the other day, so it thought that deserved a mention in my blog. You'll find a nice pretty userbar on the front page. Hopefully that userbar will be saying "Cape owner" by the end of the next week! :
23. You can't. That's the point. As for posts that say "Bump". These posts are suually in places like BlogScape, where the poster actually receives no credit for that post in their post count. So, really, it's irrelevant. "Bump" posts anywhere else usually = removed. We don't wanna turn Tip.It into the RSOF's ridiculously high bump-rate. Therefore, we simply don't provide this tool. If people cared about the topic, they'd keep it alive themselves.
24. The one before the final level. I can get a full white kit for my house, anyone who needs one just PM me. :)
25. You suffer from the liberaltarian point of view of politics I'm afraid. Whoever said politics was about preserving the most life as possible, or doing merely 'what's nice'? Politics is simply the balance of power between two or more parties. In a democratic society such as ours, that battle is fought in an election, where the mass population has the power to elect a certain few into power who they feel best represent their interests. That doesn't mean to say it's the same everywhere. That battle can just as easily take place with guns. I would be a fool if I was a Marxist and then believed my interests could be best served through Democracy. See, you have a problem. What if the majority of those who hold power in Iraq wants to fall into civil war? You can't support that, because you'd be seen as someone who made a mess of things in Iraq, but you can't deny it either, because that would compeltely against the principles of Democracy. I'm sorry, but I'm of the firm belief this war isn't being won, nor can it be won. Therefore, I don't see any logic in staying there, especially when all your presence does is aggrovate more people than it saves.
