The war in iraq, What do you think we should do?
He might know better what's happening at the bases of basic soldiers, but he obviously got no idea about the big picture. ok then, you tell me exactly what is going on and how we can fix all the problems over there. this challenge is issued to everyone, i want to know what you all think we should do. Way to flog a dead horse... And if you look I for one have already given my solution. The fact is splatmster is that there is no 'nice' way to deal with this problem. If you are of George Bush's belief that all you need to do is pile in a few more troops, drive the resistance out of Iraq, and start a Democractic process for a standing peace in Iraq, then I'm afraid I consider that a hopeless solution conjured up by a fairly naÃÆÃâÃâïve President...

Runescape in the news again...
Impaler, it's not just having sex though is it? It's being raped, which is doing it against your will. Especially worse in this case because the older women was in a position of trust. Can't you understand that that boy may grow up unable to trust someone with a sexual relationship, and therefore, will have issues regarding commitment and trust?

Mass autoer ban that wasnt announced?
My thoughts exactly. no noes no more autoing o noes the game is being rescued o noes the economy is being saved -.- Do you actually know anything about economics? I don't go as far as mc90123 in saying I like them for their effect on the prices of raw materials, but if you honestly think the only reason RS and its economy is messed up, then you need to read up a bit more, and open your eyes a bit. There are hundreds of factors that contribute to it, some so small and obvious they're barely worth mentioning.

Awww? Poor gold farmer? [please lock]
16 hours 0.50 cents an hour Sounds like a sweatshop to me -.- It looks bad, but remember, this is China. It would be the same low-income situation as a Chinese factory worker, for example. For some reason people think little kids are forced to play these games. They're not. The people that work there aren't evil. They're just trying to make a living. The chance of destroying a game's economy certainly isn't going to stop them. That doesn't mean we should ignore gold farmers, but please, cut out all the ignorant rhetoric about "those evil chinese shweatshops". Bare in mind that while 0.50 cents sounds like a pitiful amount to us, prices in China, thanks partly to the Socialist movement that's existed for the last fifty years, are much much lower than they are in the US? A boat trip costs the equivalent of a fraction of a pound over there, for example. I agree. The amount of xenophobia that's been flown about this issue is crazy, and unfortunetely, Jagex have to accept some responsibility in that. I couldn't believe it when they actually tried to say the majority of the macro problems lies in China, which is totally unjust statement for several reasons. It actually made me consider quitting, I was that uneasy about it.

Mass autoer ban that wasnt announced?
It is in the multi-millions. I'd say 6million autoers out there. Gj jagex, we may hear about it tomorrow. =p When there's only 5 Million active accounts? :?

Milestone... of a sort
My beliefs about how society should be organised are different to most people's. I wouldn't expect many people to agree with my viewpoint, but I passionately believe in that ideology. I don't believe in the modern day world that merely paying for your goods is acceptable, since most of the profit goes to a few people rather than society as a whole. Anyways, I'll drop this topic here.

Milestone... of a sort
I'd personally like to see him do something other than play RS. And before anyone flames me saying, "You don't know he spends all his time on RS!", so the maths behind the exp, and it will soon be obvious he actually does! On a more personal level, while I'm impressed at the determination and patience Zezima has shown, I actually don't have much respect for him apart from that. I obviously don't know his social or financial situation, but as far as I'm concerned, if you take a house, food, water and electricity from society, then you should be prepared to contribute something back to society. All the signs tell me Zezima doesn't, so I don't really have much time for him. Of course, that's purely speculative, but until someone provides me with evidence saying otherwise, I'll continue to hold that view. It should not be realistically possible for anyone to max out all stats. Anyone who does is doing so only at the cost of their own health and social life. Needless to say, I'm not exactly jealous of those who therefore have fully maxed out stats... -.-

Runescape in the news again...
What are you saying? That Jagex doesn't educate its players fully about the rules, and how it's for their own safety; or perhaps that P mods are about as much practical use as a hole in a wall? In which case, I'd agree with you on both counts.

party pete's
+1. Well said. I don't believe that f2P deserves updates, but how anyone can rant over this is beyond me. It's not like F2P have got anything big that removes any real benefit from membership. The people who rant against this are just members suffering from a bad case of prejudice.

Too wii or not to Wii
I strongly disagree with that statement when Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart wii were the two biggest games by Nintendo at this year's E3... Nor is Wii Fitness meant to be for a "casual gamer". It's designed to help Nintendo in its goal to appeal to a wider audience.

The ps2 has sold 96 Million more consoles than the X-Box
+1 There's far too much prejudice about Wikipedia. It's stupid especially considering most vandalism is dealt with within an hour of it being out online, and overly vandalised pages are locked up for only members to edit.

Why, look at this! I dunno if you can hally him from here, but I guess it's useful for regenerating, or eating and potting without being attacked...: It's actually better if you run to the corner, then run behind the furthest dummy. :D

Quest cape Requirments up again?
Wasn't that source by Andrew said some two years back? I remember this being highlighted in a previous thread about pures. Two years ago, Jagex didn't fully understand the true effect pures would have on PKing and the combat system in general. Now they do know of this effect, it wouldn't be unjustifiable to reverse back on that statement, as it doesn't represent the modern-day situation. I dunno about Jagex "cutting out" pures, but they certainly seem to be doing their best to discourage them and make them less fashionable. The two new prayers are blatently disigned to provide an advantage that's unavaliable to pures.
-
Quest cape Requirments up again?
It's no secret Jagex dislikes pures for their contempt of the combat level system. Maybe this, like the PC update, is an attempt to really drill in this message. The prayer's are fairly anti-pure TBH, providing an advantage that pures simply can't use.

Who's Better Sony(ps2,ps3) or Microsoft(xbox,xbox360)?
Or... how about you recognise not everyone has that kinda money (at least ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã700) to blow on luxuries, that this is a perfectly valid topic, and that this board isn't big enough for there to be any real care over duplicated topics? Back on-topic, I think the Xbox 360 is better if you take money into consideration. In my opinion, the PS3 is the better console, but doesn't practically offer much more than the Xbox, yet costs ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã200 more. So for that reason alone, I think the Xbox will be more succesful this gen.

Method in their madness?
Nobody has ever argued that F2P shouldn't be allowed updates. those of us that have said anything about this issue, myself included, have said they don't deserve updates. The two statements are completely different.
-
24 July 2007 - King's Ransom
Typical Jagex... a bunch of whinny people on Rants whine about a lack of updates, and then they bombard us with three a day so now we can't play the damn game!!! *sigh* Glad I got that out of my system.

Is it just me who thinks that the new defensive prayer spells, which require fairly high levels of defence, is just another attempt to lower the power of pures? If so, w00t! :D

[quote name="Mod Dave from RSOF (http://www.runescape.com)"]Recent game update: There has been a technical issue after the update and the login servers are currently offline. Your account may be showing as logged in still. Don't panic, this is just a side-effect of the server being down; you will be able to log in again as normal soon. During this time your character will not be in the game so you have no fear of dying or losing items from this server problem. Thank you and apologies for the disruption. Is anyone else having trouble logging in? It seems strange only 3,000 people are online ATM the update happened about ten minutes ago.
