  1. The difference between Staking and Rat Pits being that the chances of winning are 50%. It's as likely to make you very rich, very poor or just wind up with as much money as you started. Flower gambling, however, ran on casino chances; 55:45 or more (often 60:40), guaranteeing profit in the long run.
  2. Xil's should not be this hard to hit with Dualwield Chaotics. Jesus.
  3. XP from the new Fight Cauldron is absolutely massive. I think Imma get my Melee to 99 in here unless I can nab Drygores any time soon. The occassional Hok waves with the extra 20k herblore xp are a nice bonus too. Furthermore, the trio waves are an absoluty [bleep]. Xil's and Mej's both rip you new ones.
  4. TokHaar-Xil's are wrecking my shit. Cauldron is more annoying than I remember, you really get your ass beat with the damaging floors and half the [bleep]ing abilities locking you in place.
  5. I was quite surprised by the absolutely enormous amount of Cauldron buffs. They really intend it to be used for training with this, and I can see it working too.
  6. Dropping slightly. Pneumatics at 35-40M Statics at ~25M Tracking at 17-19M
  7. Why don't they just fix 'levels mattering' by applying a simple formula: (Stat/3)+2x(Wep tier/3) = Weapon power Say you're lvl 99 Attack and using a Drygore rapier (lvl 90), with my formula it'd have the accuracy of a lvl 93 weapon. Pot up with an overload? It'll have the accuracy of a T98 weapon. Same applies for strength to melee weapon damage, range and mage to both their respective accuracy and strengths and defence and constitution to armour rating and lifepoints boost respectively.
  8. Except that it does. Your all-round strength training (e.g. workout) improves every weapon, and someone who is strong from, say, mining all the time (0 every stat, 50 strength), would be able to swing a sword for a hell of a lot more damage than a trained person who spent two months in bed sick and just got up (50 every stat, 0 strength). The same miner would be able to draw a crossbow/bow the soldier couldn't. I'm not a fitness expert by any means, but as far as I know, people in all sorts of sports get stronger overall even if they mostly focus on one area. For example a gymnast specializing in the rings would still have strong legs. That's applying real life physique to a game genre which never dealt in that. By that notion, Agility should also train strength.
  9. The problem is, is that the EoC is still regularly updated, too regularly for proper guide writing. I could probably pen down 4-5 good EoC guides right now but I'm unsure how relevant it would be in 2-4 weeks time (especially with drastic reforms coming April).
  10. You get a bunch of random rewards, and if you're already maxed in those they simply go to waste. Max number, by the way, is 1 for Lifeboat, 2 for Adventurer, Captain and Voyage reroll and 3 for everything else. It used to be that you only got rewards you weren't maxed in, so naturally people used to exclusively get Voyage and Adventurer rerolls. Ah, the good old days.
  11. Just got a "found one of your crewmembers drifting on a lifeboat" message from a failed voyage interface. Thing is; there were no less than 3 Oxheads on that voyage. Does this mean Lifeboats activate before Resurrect? When was this done. Not complaining of course, as I can now rest easy on all my OXHF trips.
  12. The chi drained from 206 to 6 after though. :P But yeah, I found out the cap the hard way with spices, have 125 soup in my bank at the moment.
  13. Finally got my final Sea singer legs scrolls in today. My first set: Drained my RC pendant from 41,289 bonus xp to 6789 xp purely from making these.
  14. From the patch notes, is this a nerf to Drygore? This is Enhanced Balmung having 0 accuracy after last week's update. It's fixed now.
  15. I can personally confirm that, with today's update, percentage traits do indeed work.
  16. If you got adventurer or crew rerolls prior to today, it would double up and omit the next listed reward on the list (but only if they weren't maxed). Earlier this week I got adventurer reroll, voyage reroll and crew reroll according to the random reward interface (in that order) and got 2x adventurer reroll and a crew reroll in reality. Likewise, last week I got crew reroll, fortune of the sea and seasingers bottled cry (again exactly in that order) and in actuality I got 2 crew reroll and the bottled cry (which pissed me off a bit). So yeah.
  17. Can anyone recommend me a good image host? New photobucket beta resizes all images to 1048x768 and I don't want it to.
  18. Only one-hitting if both sides use Berserk though. As compared to pre-EoC, in which everyone got one-hit unless they paid for Divines or Torva.
  19. I find this discussion interesting. Having thought long and hard about it, I really couldn't be happier with what they chose to do. So what they clear the requirements out for everyone? Who does that seriously affect? YOU KNOW what happened. Do you really feel that spiteful another player is not "worthy" of the cutscenes and the lore if they didn't see what predated it? Remember, that's not the rewards because those ARE exclusive. If so, what do you feel if a player plays a sequel of the game without playing the first game first? Am I unworthy of playing The Witcher 2 without having played The Witcher 1? Playing Mass Effect 2 without having played Mass Effect 1 (granted that was because of an exclusivity deal at the time). Besides, this allows them to really impact the game like we haven't seen before. For all its buildup, WGS really didn't change RS much apart from adding some statues at places and replacing 4 NPC's (and removing 2). Granted, it was unprecedented at the time, but still. Likewise, for its implied importance, ROTM didn't do much beside char up some small town. With this, they CAN change places drastically and explain it on the notion "Well it happened, and it's YOUR fault for not being up to date". I remember a while back someone asked a JMOD if Morytania could ever return to its pre-Drakan looks after the end of the Vampyre storyline ended. The JMOD simply said that couldn't work in a MMORPG because of consistency between players. Well, now they can. Come to think of it, I really don't understand why people are mad you can see the rejuvenated Mahjarrat, Wahisietel, Char etc without knowing the full backstory. That's bullshit and you know. EVERYONE knew Duradal was dead a month after WGS was out regardless of whether they completed it or not. People who weren't into quests or lore aren't going to start to care now and will probably look up the broad strokes or ignore like they always did, while new and old questers are gonna catch up eventually anyway.
  20. So, can they still only be fixed when totally decayed or has that been fixed as well?
