It was my first clue in eons (always got lousy rewards before, was bored so I did this one), so I had to get back everything like watch\chart\sextant, never had anything I needed (and it took forever to buy), did it all in a pvp world and almost got PKed 4 times, met up with 3 reverants (one was a knight) and the chaos elemental (all at once) on one of them, forgot my tele so I had to walk all the way out, through a couple other reverants... Never again. -.-

Controversy? Not a chance. Mummies are far less XP for a TINY profit in drops. Way too hard to line up respawns and lure; with ape atoll your hitting 9 monkies steady, never worrying about spawns.

No such thing as luck. Wear mage armor and pray or use BTP. Use prayer and super sets to hit more often.

Could ghostly warriors be an option for him if he wanted less questing? Ghostly warriors require a quest too, and at best are slightly better then bandits for XP.

See the thread in my sig for comments on slayer. Range is an easy 600k per hour at 99; slayer is what, at most 120k? Meelers lose much more when the die. In PVP worlds, your just as likely to fight lower levels as higher levels. The ideal range tank would be 96 defence\94 HP (the level 96 defence\99 range would get you), 99 range, 99 magic, 43 prayer, 99 summoning, as high of attack\strength as possible. This puts them in the mid level crater, where they will pick apart the poor 90\90\45 rune pures like matchsticks.
