I own ANY non pure my level. And I regularly see maxed tanks get downed by mith lords, zerker pkers and even addy daddys ;) . You'll last maybe 4 hits by a range tank. Hitting an average of 24ish per shot, you'll be hit at a faster rate then constant guzzling of sharks can counter.

The bolded is as wrong as it can get, your ip change change dramatically without the use of a proxy. Theres no point in me arguing my point any further because as i've said, i've no idea how it works but it does work this way, go to castle wars, try it yourself before bashing it. All you are doing by saying it does not work is making yourself and alot of others who may believe you much less likely to get flag drops in cw. Your wrong, all I can get in is my allocated comcast IP bloc. Not that that will change anything. I can't specifically test it, as it only changes when they decide to assign me a new one (which hasn't happened yet). When I said not change, I meant change out of your local sector's IP range, which it can't and won't do. Get a T1 line and laugh at the 'ip changers' with your static IP and 2ms latency :roll:

i have all this good gear for castle wars but i need to pick up the flag faster than other people. i've been in this situation like 10 times today. If ips dont work then i'll just use a dspear to push people away :mrgreen: . That or get a better net connection :P

My "ignorance"? You are clueless about how any of this works, yet are blindly following what your 'castle wars friends', who don't have the slightest clue themselves. Look it up yourself, it's not as if your IP can even change; unless your going through a proxy, you end up with one of your level 3 provider's assigned IP bloc that your never going to go out of. Already tried it. Showed up precisely zero threads by a Jagex mod discussing auto dropping. It takes over 2.5 seconds.

Come to a cw clans event and you will get your own proof, heck come in our irc channel and ask anybody with a good ip to go against you at glicking a flag, and you will see the difference ip makes. More like what difference your connection makes. I get a 9 millisecond ping time at the best times, 80ms at others. My IP has zero to do with it. 9 ms is .009 seconds, something that's going to have virtually no difference in my clicking speed. Faster reflexes and to some extent connection will matter. There are so many reasons, of which IP is NOT one, that you can't blindly go saying things. Honestly, last time this came up me (computer consultant), a programing major, and a computer science major all dismissed this as inane balderdash. You have zero proof; you admitted you are clueless about it; you know nothing of gateway routing between your computer and Jagex servers, yet you are clueless persisting with 'yeah well my friends can beat me, IT HAS TO BE THEIR IP!!!'. It has to do with network lag, computer lag, response time, Jagex server lag, network priority tags, ISP level one provider, cable modems, cable modem downstream signal power, mouse latency times, connection loads, time of day, and routing configuration for EVERY SINGLE SERVER (at times 30+) between you and Jagex. You are simply dismmissing all of that and saying 'he can beat me! its his ip address!'

Because I can put in an order for as many battlsetaffs as I want; you have to wait and buy each one individually. 120 times is 3 hours of alching, I usually buy that many ahead of time. I timed myself, it took 4.5 seconds to order them. So unless you can buy your rings in under 0.0375 seconds (and I'd like to see video proof), don't bother complaining about that. I searched the RSOF but found no evidence saying that it was OK to 'quick buy\dump' items, and I don't plan on testing it out on my main after getting 6 blackmarks :thumbdown:

It's easier and slightly faster, but significantly more expensive\slower XP. I'd personally recommend 9, although I use 7.

Not a chance. Mousekeys have been questionably legal with the '5' key; a key that now automatically jumps and clicks is unquestionably illegal. I've personally experienced it on my 2nd account with mining; I used mousekeys to drop inventorys of iron in a few seconds, and was rewarded with a 1 week ban and 6 blackmarks after a few days. And I say I can put an order in for 2k battlestaffs faster then you can buy an inventory of rings 80 times. Perhaps we should have a race.

No... It is true that the general can switch to a familiar, but honestly it happens so rarely that it's not worth the loss of efficieny to fear that. Bring a war tortoise and switch to a titan when you've expended its supplies. I personally suggest that you don't tank at all and let someone else do it, seems selfish, but you will always profit if you're not tanking. I personally don't go on bandos trips with random idiots off of rsof to make friends, it's about profits(well not so much profit anymore as finishing my drop list but same basic thing). It's not that rare, I've seen it happen 3 times with a tank before we made him dismiss it. Same with war tortoise, you'll end up with a teammate getting 2 hit. Most team I've been in know about it and won't let me tank with a war tortoise. Believe me, I've been slammed with a 60 when a tank teled, and it's not fun when your typical attacker outfit is decked out in bandos\fury\fire cape\berserker ring etc.

Forget the whole 'accuracy\max hit' debate D claws dish out, on average, far more damage per second. There's simply no comparison. Cost is totally a personal thing, but there is no question whatsoever of which is a better speccing weapon.
