If you're old school, you played before even rune meds existed. P2P update... At this point we already had numerous 99 smiths... Even in RSC we had updates more often than that, at least for the last years. In my eyes the only old school players are the ones who played before p2p and actually were something when it came.

Look at the amount of players and imagine how many people send messages to customer support every day. They definately can't give a real answer for everyone, that's physically impossible. Why should you be put higher at the query list than someone who would actually have something to say? If the case is certain, there's no point for them to waste their valuable time on it.

We have seen these topics so often that in my eyes they are nothing but spam. This is like 3rd or 4th topic on 1st page of RSC general saying it should be given back to us again. There really wasn't a need for this topic. Also do you really think that Jagex would dig up their old game and rerelease it to everyone at this point just because 20 people at these boards made a petition? Definately not, they are a company and just like other companies, they are there to make money. Reopening RSC would just cost them a lot as servers aren't free, they don't seem to have enough staff at the moment for even RS2 and so on.

You might be good at saving, but you definately aren't good at collecting i then. 5M is around 1 day of nature rune crafting if you work hard and it doesn't even require a high lvl or luck. 99 is 99, right there. However some skills are so easy that I personally would rather wear a pink fremmenik cape than them. I understand people wearing their cooking or fletching capes, after all they also got stats bonus. However in my eyes they are the skill capes of people who don't know what real skilling is.

Except when you buy your fish, you lose a lot less money, if none at all, than in prayer or construction. Also even tho they are about as fast as cooking, they at least require some clicking and attention. For example while I took 99 fletching and cooking, I could be drunk and still get good xp without noticing any difference to compared the times when I really "tried". Same way I could just watch movies and so on. With prayer I still had to click like an animal and in total for 99 pray, I spent way over 100 million gp while I made little profit from fletching and cooking. Notice there that I had high pray level even before the dragon bone prices dropped. The thing you're there forgetting is that to get prayer, you need a lot of cash which you don't get back from it. At cooking&fletching you can do it with relatively low amount of cash or by getting a small amount of resources by yourself first. Yes, the altar made prayer far too easy, but that skill still at least costs something.

It's widely used (even by myself) by dagannoth king hunters because it doesn't really get affected by negative magic attack bonuses. After over 500 maged dk's I can say thta.

False. The xp you get depends on the damage you do: 4xp per 1 damage. Also the higher lvl monster doesn't always have the highest hp: Mithril dragon for example has 4 higher hp than chaos element which is 1 combat higher. Did you know that Edgeville was called Ghost Town before Wilderness was released?

Yea, woodcutting and fishing aren't too hard skills either. However they are a lot slower than cooking or fletching, need even less clicking (no ranges switching places or falling down, etc) and you don't really need to pay any attention to them. In my eyes they don't require really determination, attention or even working. I never said combat was a hard skill. I know it from my own experience, I got around 4 times more xp in hp than you in overall. You also seem to forget that to max the melee levels, you need to get 3*99 levels instead of 1. Or you could buy the fish, powerfish at Shilo and rc. 2 Birds at the same stone, profit from rc and 3rd skill trained there because of the extra time. The cheapest isn't always the best.

I still haven't found the part that's hard in cooking or fletching. It's basically just watching the same animation over and over again added to random buying and selling.

Of course they are skills just like all the others, but they take virtually no time or efford to level to 99, so I called them joke skills. Look at cooking for example: it's one of the fastest skills to train and you need to click around 150 times an hour plus lose minimal amount of cash or even make small profit at best cases.

In my eyes 99 fletching and cooking are now (have been since cut-x and cook-x) more like jokes than actual skills. Yes, people might have cut their logs of fished their fish themselves, but most haven't. To me they don't show that you can skill or anything like that, they are signs that you can buy and sell 1 or 2 kinds of things which got good/superb supply and demand. Personally I'm more proud of my 82 rc than 99 cooking or fletching. At least I've worked for it rather than just watched a lazy cutting or cooking animation X times.

Oh well, Zebra can't get out of its stripes. Been farming some of the herb seeds I got left (not too many anymore) even tho I said I won't do farming for few weeks. Maybe passive farming is good for me, my ranks and also to my bank :P Lately been doing a bit skills. Currently 175k from 82 agility, got 75 hunt earlier today and been doing mining+superheating for my higher lvl ores. 91 mining isn't actually even too far.

haha classic, but if i was logged on (seeing as how that was after fishing update) i would have had u beat in combat fishing and cooking :) hehe. nice picture though, truly oldschool. And if the right people would hav ebeen one of the first ones to log in at that point, I wouldn't be even at the rrest of the skill \

... And if you ever got the power, you'd most likely be remembered as the other communist leaders so far... In the other words more or less failure at non-communist countries : Anyways I don't care do the others remember me or not as long as I can be satisfied for what I've managed to do.

A dream would probably be a musician, but I just ain't got the talent. No sense of rhythm, no quick fingers and definately not a bright or good voice. Better just stay at the audience and use my neck there. At the moment the more realistic ones are either a writer or a politician. Both are pretty much the same: sharing your opinions with others and hoping them to understand it. As a writer I could do my own schedule and do whatever I wanted at any time I wanted as long as I managed to write something every now and then. However as a politician the salary would be paid every month and it would be stable, not depeding on the sales. However to get to that point at the fields of politics you gotta work like an animal without a real pay and have the luck to be at the right place right time. Currently I'm about to start studying business at university level. Career from that part wouldn't be too bad either, but not like it would be my "eternal dream" or anything :P

Yea 99 fletch is rubbish, sorry for everyone with it :P Don't give much credit for it or 99 cooking. Like I said, I'll go for 2100 total, probably 90 agility and some random stuff like that. Don't think I'll aim for a new 99 any time soon.

As many of you know, I set myself a goal of 99 farming ages ago. During that goal I saw how I could multiply the glory of it and take 99 prayer and fletching same time. At this date (9.7.2007) I've finally reached that goal. Few said it was lunatic goal, some believed in me and many didn't care. However I've said it earlier and I'll say it again: others can do what they can, I do what I want. If I really want something somewhere, I take it at any cost. I spent years on these skills, burnt hundreds of millions of gp and here is the price. I was asked to host a party for these babies, many friends told me to invite them when I get these and so on. Anyways I wanted to do these just like I did my other 99s: alone. I got no intend to waste anyone's time by inviting them to see something that has already been done in RS and if I invited one friend who wanted to come, I should have invited everyone who wanted. Of course I got something else to share with you than this lazy story. I got few pictures down here and a video comes when I'm done with editing it and have succesfully hosted it to both my own host (for better qualify) and to Youtube. At this point many are wondering what will I do next. 2100 Total is something I will take, that's for sure. I was first about to take it from the last of these 3, but in the end abandoned the idea of that. I've also had 80 construction banked for ages but for some reason could have motivated myself to get it. Also 90 agility would be great: could train it with friends who like agility, it would help other skills and I'd get 10 more or less easily levels from it. Dragon large is also something I will get: 352 miths killed so far without it and I'm ready to go even to 3520 if it takes that many. I want the helmet and I want it from that animal, no matter at what cost. Jumped up only 36 ranks in overall there.
