  1. And the country that has the worst homefield for their opponent... :P I personally got few euros from that match, placed 5e on Iraq as I was relatively sure they would not lose that important match at their homefield.
  2. With this logic we can't lose money as we start from 0 and make your own gp by killing monsters, collecting raw materials and begging from others. It does not matter have you bought it, made it or gotten it from others, you still lose runes worth the same amount of gp. If you care about time and xp, it would be alot wiser to spend that money (or sell runes and use the gp) on good fruit tree or tree seeds instead of lunar spells. It's a bit same why we rather buy a whip instead of train with addy battleaxe while using super str+att potions.
  3. The point is you lose runes worth 2-3 million. It does not matter do you craft them yourself, collect from drops, get donations or buy them. The only way to avoid losing runes worth that is to tele without runes.
  4. You obviously got no idea about this. We could discuss about US imperialism or just this part of it for days. The situation isn't something which we can analyse, think and solve in 5 minutes. The point is why I said I don't feel like wasting 45minutes on you is that you obviously just close your eyes on it. I personally don't see a reason writing an essay here and ask you questions which you ignore. I have a lot better use for my time than that, I could for example go to read some more interesting stuff. What is terrorism if I may ask you? Is it causing the death of few thousand civilians after all you've done at their homes? Is it causing the death of tens of thousands of civilians? Is it pressuring multinational companies to boycott a country that doesn't obey you? Is it kidnapping citizens of European countries, torturing them and finally releasing without any trials? Please define the word terrorism before you use it. What I've seen, terrorism is just a word that's part of American mantra and with it anything is allowed. Your ways aren't that different from the acts of "terrorists".
  5. You obviously didn't get my point there. It's sometimes worth it to spend a lot of gp on something to get it quickly. However lunars+farming isn't worth it for the reason that xp:gp:time ratio doesn't meet there. If you're into farm xp you should invest your gp on good tree/fruit tree seeds or if you're into profit then do farm runs with as cheap teles as possible. As you might know, farming goes in cycles. This means your herbs won't most likely be done any faster with standard magics than with lunar spells. If you don't care about the cost but you want as fast farm xp as possible, lunars are rather horrible: they are far away from many fruit tree and tree patches. Yes, you can do spellbok swap, but with it comes the inventory space problem into even bigger role: you will be more likely to need a bank trip with lunars than without them. Of course if you don't care about the cost, you can always drop the magic logs.... Or even better, pay the farmer and not get anything back from the 170k seed. A bit versus 99 farming here in this. I personally counted everything started from herb:seed ratio (counted over 1300 herb seeds there) to the real cost of magic trees (is it worth it to pay the farmer, etc) and I definately didn't forget lunars. I personally found a lot better use for my money: if speed is what I want, I do magic trees, yews and palms with my spare cash. Also the word "much" is a bit misleading here: the time isn't that much faster at all. You seem to forget that there's a bank in a perfect place at Ardy when you use the standard magics teleport. This makes it easier to never run out of inventory space and not needing to bank because of 1-2 herbs. Every item has its value, we probably agree on that. When you lose an item that's worth X, you basically lose X gp no matter how have you gotten that item. For the price of an item, basically supply+demand+(drops)+"material value" (=high alch) judge the price. with current demand, runite bars cannot drop under the value of the item that gives highest amount of gp per bar. For supply, one major thing that affects to it is the time used to get it. Law runes and death runes are so close to nature rune prices for the reason that they aren't worth it to sell for lower price. If their demand drops so badly that the only way to sell them is for nature rune price - X (X standing for an amount of gp which is high enough to turn people away), people will stop crafting them as it's not worth their time. Eventually this decreased supply forces the price back up. The meaning of this economical lesson is to show you that every item has its price and no matter have you made it yourself, bought it or found it, it's worth the same. This means that no matter do you craft your own runes or buy them, you lose runes worth the same amount of gp.
  6. Farming, definately.
  7. It's not that bad as you don't need to be online all the time. A lot less actual playtime used in that than in doing 12 hours of any other skill. No sane farmer throws 2-3 million gp away per month just to save that time. If you're so much into farming that you want to waste money on it, you buy magic trees or palms with that. There's no rational reason for using lunars while doing hardcore farming. At this point I'd like to ask you how much have you tried farming with lunars? I personally thought every aspect of farming during my way to 99 and saw that standard magic is by far the best way for it. That doesn't remove the cost factor. You still lose runes worth X amount of gp. With that logic a party hat doesn't cost you anything if you mine your own ess, craft them and buy a phat with that cash. Edit: I personally find it funny how pretty much all 90+ farmers agree that lunars+farming isn't as good as many tend to think. I personally find that extremely funny. I've lost something around 100-150 million gp on my road to 99 farm and I still am richer than 99% of the people on these forums. Being able to afford it and finding it worth wasting on are 2 totally different things.
  8. Didn't say they were worse, just said they ain't a COB clone :P
  9. The question isn't are we able to pay it or not, the question is if it's worth it or not. I personally got no reason to pay few hundred thousand gp per week more just to save 30 secs per farm run. Here's little calculations per farm run. The rune amounts are copied from tip.it magic guide so blame them for mistakes, not me. I assume that the Falador patch is checked after a tele to Draynor. Lunar Fish guild: 3 astral 3 law 10 water Catherby: 3 astral 3 law 10 water Trollheim: 3 astral 2 cosmic 1 law + 2 law 2 fire Normal: Ardounge: 2 law 2 water Camelot : 1 law 5 air Trollheim: 2 law 2 fire If we don't count normal runes, there's a pretty big difference between lunars and normals: 5 laws vs 9 laws+9astrals+1cosmic. If laws are 300gp per, you spend 1.2k more per run. if Astrals are 150gp each, you spend 1350gp there. 2.7k gp difference just in good runes, the weaker ones add it up by few hundred. That's nothing for a sunday farmer, but a serious farmer who does 10 runs a day it costs 810k more per month. I personally paid well enough just for my tree seeds, never in hell would want to spend 810k extra per month just to save few mins per trip. If we add fertile soil spell to that, it adds 5,250gp per farm run. With 10 farm runs a day it costs an extra 1,575,000gp per month. I rather farm my own watermelons for it and pay around 600gp per super compost + get the farm xp. Yes, the cure poison is a handy spell, but only if you feel like wasting some more cash. A cure potion takes only 1 space and costs 40gp, so it's handier AND cheaper. The point is that for a serious farmer it isn't worth it to use lunar spells. You can argue that the runes are free if you craft them. However you're wrong there. They still are worth their price, no matter did you craft them or pay them.
  10. I personally tend to do quite a lot of farming (currently ranked th best farmer) and from my own experiences it's better to use standard magics and grow your own watermelons for super compost. It's cheaper, better farm xp, you got more free inventory space and you need less runes per tele. The time saved from closer teles is rather minimal and in a long run at least I rather run 5mins more than waste a lot more runes. I've personally seen really few pictures and heard stories of people actually succesfully pkin with vengeance. I believe it would be more used if it actually was better than ancients or teleblock.
  11. :shame: Google before you try something new.
  12. IMO lunars are a great idea but ruined with costs, runes and levels. Yes, you can do super compost spell... But at what cost and inventory space taken? Yes, you can tele to catherby or fishing guild, but how many runes do you need and what levels are needed? Yes, you can tele to trollheim patch... If you got 96 magic that is. With the runes needed and the inventory space taken by the runes, I personally found standard magic better for farming. The teleports are at somewhat good locations, but they aren't too different to standard magic places. I don't see a reason why to waste 10 times more runes to tele to Catherby instead of Camelot or fishing guild instead of Ardounge. However telegroups were ok, I personally used them every now and then when I was farming with mates and had lunars on. Superglass and logs to planks are interesting spells, but they are pretty useless: with the rune costs and doing logs one by one, it's cheaper to buy premade planks. The superglass itself isn't a bad spell, but the problem is that glass isn't too useful. The most useful spell is contact npc, but I personally don't like going all the way to Lunar Island just to get that spell. Maybe when I start hardcore slayer training, but definately not yet. Also vengeace could be good and useful if there was more places to actually use it. Atm it looks like we'd need a 3rd lunar update. With current spells lunars are good for certain things, but the book itself isn't worth keeping on 24/7.
  13. There's going on a war that's fought because of other goals than are publicly said. You aren't there for democracy which you can't even follow yourself, according to many American professionals going to Iraq could cause a spread of WMD's and in 2003 at Azores Bush said that they'll go there no matter will Saddam leave or not. For an answer I am not going to waste 45mins because of you. You skip my questions same way as most animals ignore many commands. We've already discussed here what would be the best move now and you most likely would just ignore all the reasonable answers.
  14. Wouldn't call them a clone, Norther was found before COB even changed their name from Inearthed to Children of bodom. They shared the same training house tho, so it's not surprisingly that they share many similarities. Anaal Nathrakh (yes, first word has 2 a's after the n) would probably fit under this category from bands which haven't been mentioned yet.
  15. It's dirty easy if you don't care about the taste. Basically just yeast + sugar and that's it. Yea done Kilju (check wikipedia if you want to learn more) before, but with current alcohol prices I rather stick with things that are stronger and somewhat drinkable.
  16. Have you thought it well? first of all the current maximum xp, 200 million, equals to level 126 if we don't change the xp formula. We got currently 26 people with 200m experience, are you seriously think people would go for 199 which would equal for more xp than Zezima currently got in total? Not to mention that 9 of these 200m xpers are cooks. We got now a handful of people with 200m xp and some with 2277 overall. I personally don't see a point rising the gap to higher levels: even currently it's hard enough to max out already and bringing the maximum level up even to 110 would mean a need to train hundreds of millions more xp to get 99 skill average.
  17. Did you know that the updates don't always follow that kind of a pattern. We just got a brand new spellbook, magic got many other things than just hitting hard (high alch, teleport, many helpful lunar spells, binding spells, etc) and the next updates to combat skills are impossible to predict.
  18. Sorry, but they are not keeping the economy alive. They are affecting to it in a way that some see as bad thing and others (like you) a good thing. Yes, you might get cheaper raw materials for skilling buyable things. However they are taking away good opportunities from legit players to make that cash. Also the thing why to fight against autoers isn't just cheaper raw materials. You seem to forget that they don't gather rs gp/raw materials just to become billionaires in this game. They do it to sell for real life cash. I hope you understand also the risks in that for normal people: scamming people out of real money and so on. At last, to keep something alive you need to be able to kill it. The only way to kill an economy is to remove all shorts of trading. The prices can be seen as productions of ecomony: when you add supply+demand, you get the price. Same way as you add 3 rune bars to get a rune kite. Macroers just affect to supply, not really demand. Of course supply affects to demand, but autoing doesn't directly affect to it. Think it this way: because there's a big supply, prices must go down in order to sell the goods. Lower price attracts people and there's more potential customers.
  19. Even a simple colorclicker can be set up to run away from that random event and bots don't even accidentally stay there to fight it. The only ones who would suffer from that are the few ones with colorclickers+bad scripts or legit players. The true problem players (bots) won't suffer from that.
  20. The 2k limit is there for a reason. Have you ever wondered why Jagex keeps using cash on new servers instead of rising the max player gap or they don't reduce the 2k gap when new areas, monsters or graphics are given to us? I've said it many times earlier and gonna say it again. That would be an unneeded update and waste of time, nothing else.
  21. 23.7.2007 Finally got the first picture here. Was about time. Like you can see, I've been training quite a lot hunter lately. It's relatively fast skill and it was my lowest skill, so why not :P Dunno for sure what will be my next levels, but I know for a fact that I'm getting closer and closer to the big 2100. My only wish atm is that Jagex doesn't give us a new skill before I hit that.
