Nope completely safe, If you get caught by a creature you just get tele'd outta the maze.

you can't really say which is better. With a dds you can hit 2 times with a 1 spec, and poison them, but with a d long you hit once with 1 spec, you could for instance hit a 20 + 19 with a dds, and with a d long a 41.. But Imo I would say dds. D long might be more powerful, but dds is slightly quicker
