  1. Castle Wars. Saw Electric Impling. where is a net when u need one?
  2. Not to get off topic. but did anyone try to get a brine sword. I was down there a good 3 hrs for one.
  3. Granted u deserve to get the price for the hours u put into getting the drop. How long did it take u to get 85+ slayer? Is barrows more profitable for u then camping in Slayer tower? I enjoy slayer immensely except when I get those lousy assignments (just finished Turoths). I like Duradel but sometimes his stuff takes forever. Currently doing bloodvelds with iron knives. What gear did u use to kill those fat blokes? D hally, supersets?
  4. Best drop so far is dragon plate legs from Steel Dragons slayer assignment. Next Best is Veracs helmet and other barrows drops. Dragon drops are the most exciting. Still waitin for Spear, Chain and 2H.
  5. Being nice almost always pays off for me. Most of the time it involves someone asking for an item they need for a quest. I usually give it to them and either get a thank u or some nice cash (ex. charcoal, papyrus, bronze wire, etc) The other day my friend needed a rune warhammer for our "favorite" clue at fishing guild. I made him an elemental shield (he gave me 14k) and my gf gave him a rune wh on loan. I split the 14k with her. He ended up getting a dark cav and mage comp bow. Other example of helping people out are giving them food when they are doing melee and I am rangin. Sometimes get some rune arrows or scimmy for just a few lobsters. etc.
  6. I respect someone with high skills more than high combat. PC is just too easy to level combat stats. The only reason is did pc was to level my range and mage to a decent level without losing lots of cash for runes and ammo. I much prefer using slayer to raise my combat levels and income. Woodcutting and smithy are just too boring for me. I prefer RC or fletching to make money. Money is fastest way to raise most skills - buying raw materials. I cant stand merchanting but it is necessary for selling off clue items. I have the most fun skilling with friends. Slayer would be great if it allowed u and a friend to do the same task. Maybe Jagex will think of that sometime.
  7. My main problem with the xbow is that they are so slow that bolts on ground disappear before u get to pick them up. Happens any time I am rangin dragons (why not since u can wield the shield for safety). Other problem is u cant trade enchanted bolts. So needless to say I rarely bother to use the weapon. The best wpn is only +45 ranging for rune version. I sell rune xbows after every steel dragon assignment for slayer since they drop rune limbs.
  8. I have been pcing for about a month or so. I am almost 90 attack. My other levels I raised with doing slayer and fighting trolls/fire giants for drops. The problem I see with PC is that it doesnt fit with the rest of the game. There is no risks involved, only rewards. I don't see the problem with pures other than they never help with the portals (as far as I can tell). I wish they would let us pick teams for the boats and base the monster levels on the on their competition. I hate being on a world full of noobs that dont know how to finish the rounds fast.
  9. I love when I post "Buyin blue dhides 1700 gp ea" and some noob pms me saying I will sell u some for 1800 ea. If I wanted to pay more/get gouged I would ask. lol
  10. U can melee in PC and not have to spend a dime to raise your mage level. I have gone from level 80 to 87 iwth PC. Another good way is to high alch, enchant, or charge orbs. I have a friend that pays me to charge her orbs. I get 78 xp per orb and she supplies the cosmics and orbs then I give them to her so she can make staffs. I get 300k gp for helpin her too!. Then there is always the Camelot tele with air staff but that gets boring. You can get free laws from Entrana world 66 so its xp on the cheap.
  11. Snelm gives u an immunity to their range attack so u dont have to pray vs range. U can save prayer for something that will actually hit u like the vampire juves.
  12. Wielding: Helm of Neitiznot Glory Amulet (didnt have fury til recently) Proselyte Platebody Proselyte Platelegs Boots of Lightness Barrows Gloves Zamorak Book Dragon Dagger with Super Poison Spottier cape In Inventory: Rod of Ivandis (10) Guthix Balance Potion (4) Druid Pouch Prayer Potion (4) Home Teletab Abyssal Whip Lobster x 4 Knife (for giant snakeskins) Snelm (make u immune to giant snail attacks) There is soo much good loot while doing the trekkin that u need the extra space. You can also take a chisel if u want to do some craftin of other snelms (I sold a blue snelm for 15k one time for someone doin cluey) I usually get all my mushrooms for the pouch near the nature grotto so I can recharge there. I ended up with extra clothes but they were worthless since they are untradeable. I figured out the best way to get Lumberjack outfit quick was the easy path and easy tourists. The key to using the rod is to make sure u have juves down to 50% health before u do the special then u own them with the potion. Only got the vampire on steroids one time.
  13. I own a Dragon Scimitar, Halbard, Dagger, Battleaxe, Mace and Abyssal Whip. I used D long for the longest time before I got the whip. Gives u a nice big hit sometimes. DDS is a must have. I use it for doin clues and PC/Slayer. Since the whip special is poo poo. The dbaxe is awesome strength pumper special that I use followed by the whip/stat restore potion. The hally is one of my favorite weapons. Use it all the time on blue dragons, trolls, hellhounds and other critters u can safe spot.
  14. You might consider Torags set. Pretty cheap and great defense stats. My first big expenditure was saving for the whip with yew long bow alchin. The dragon stuff is flashy but not much better than rune armour. I would take the other guys advice and get Granite body (90k) and fighter torso (free, my most used armour). The only barrows sets with a decent special are Guthans and Veracs but they are 9m and 4.5m respectively. I got my d legs fighting steel dragons and d square from fire giants (had to buy other half, not cheap and I never use it) Granite shield is nice for 100k and u can get a free one from drops if u range or hally the troll generals. U can have a friend pick up a hally for u if they have done Regicide.
  15. At the mage guild u can cast on the zombies all day long. Or u can pick on the zoo monsters or cast on moss giants.
  16. Get ur goutweed before u switch to lunar magiks. Take trollheim teleport to stronghold. Otherwise if ur on lunars, take fairy rings to DKS or the slayer dungeon site. Make sure u wear ur climbing boots. Go in the back way to stronghold, up past jail and down stairs. Go south to troll chefs and stairs in north part of that cavern. Go steal the goutweed. Its non tradeble so u only need one. Bring food cause they hit u for 4-6 hp per visit. U can use lunar magiks to tele back if u used fairy rings/lunar staff The quest itself was quite easy. Combat was another story. I recommend that u take a full inventory of food to the mines where the npc is. Look for the blue quest dot and squeeze thru the crevice to talk to him. Just use a different type of food on him and switch back and forth. Talk to him using the "positive" pep talk lines. Once u get him on his feet u have to get his chest from bank - he wanted to wear D med, Ahrims top and bottom, whip and ranger boots for my quest puzzle. U dont need armour for first part of the quest if u just run past the monsters outside the mines. Just use black dhide or light stuff and boots of Ikov/spottier cape. For the final battle drink super sets before u go to altar and light the fire at alter before for u drink pots. That way u dont have space taken up by tinderbox. U will need a hammer and mortar and pestle for grinding the Astral rune for potion. I used barrows armour, defender, dds and whip to kill all four variations of the villan. U can go to the fountain if u need to escape the battle. Take some tuna potatoes for food and u be fine if u safe eat. Too bad I didnt know about glitch for prayer.
  17. I pray vs steel dragons using Proselyte Plate and legs, fury, Black mask, anti dragon shield, climbing boots, ring of wealth, rfd gloves, dds, and whip. I got dlegs on a 16 dragon slayer assignment.
  18. For Chinchompas use Pest Control. Such a target rich environment. You get tons of rangin xp for them too. I use them whenever I need to get my zeal up if my bow not hitting well.
  19. Trolls - u can find them north of the slayer caves in Fremmenik. If u go in cave to get to Keldarim and go south u will see the trolls. There is one safe spot for rangin I believe. Much easier than dealing with the ones in Stronghold area. U can use fairy rings to get there or walk from Camelot.
  20. Woot. What I usually say after a good drop or when I level.
  21. I usually skip metal dragons but on a whim I did Steel Dragons since only had to kill 16 of them. I put on my melee gear (proselyte, whip, dds, anti-fire, supersets, my good luck fury etc). I killed 11 before I had to go back for some more pots. On the fourth kill I got the elusive dragon plate legs. So no more skippin Steel Dragons for me. Plus I get rune limbs that I sell for 40k ea for crossbows that I fletch.
  22. Thats why Im selling my bloods now so when altar comes out I wont lost 200 gp ea on them. Sold 2k for 1.1m I found a spot to range and hally lvl 149 Tzharr guys so I will be sellin Obby drops to take advantage of the inflation of Obby items.
  23. Barbarian Assault - For pennance gloves, fighter torso and g body. Also play to get friends stuff. Kill queen for fun and g bodies - make 50k selling them but not a fast money maker lol. Temple Trekkin - fun way to get snake hides, giant shells to sell, shade remains, iron and coal, bowstrings etc. Barrows - its fun trying to stay alive while chattin with ur mates. And the drops are the best part - never know what u will get. PC - fun and fast way to level cheap - no food, no runes, no bones, and never get killed. Cheap way to 99 Mage Tears of Guthix - cant pass up free xp. Farming made easy and construction on the cheap. I do most games for reward
  24. If i currently have a curry tree growin in Brimhaven to I have to chop it down and have it grow back? Or dig it up and replant a new tree?
