  1. If you used a Terrorbirds tireless run scrolls, it'd be much quicker too. Im not sure on the costs to make battlestaffs, but buying at GE price you lose like 34gp per alch. You could look into making them into staffs and alching for additional xp.
  2. Oh, well as for drops you wouldn't get any as they're on the other side of a sewer and it'd take ages to get there. The idea would be make money doing other stuff and then use that cash on better magic xp. Im not sure any undead monsters in f2p will actually give decent drops :|
  3. Hm, well Skeletons over Varrock Sewer worked pretty well for me... Or, if you have some cash, crumble undead is even better.
  4. Would his happen to be it? Charms Yes, it is indeed. Thanks alot :D
  5. I saw/used this awesome charm calculator, but being a slight prat i forgot to bookmark it. Now, i've tried google and other sites, even searched this forum, but cant find the link... Does anyone happen to have it saved? Just one response will be nice.
  6. 75 hours for 94-99 mage? That seems pretty quick considering alching is like 1k/ph. With 4million, i don't see many viable options to train it otherwise.
  7. Erm, either try to avoid full rune fights, unless of course targets, or suck it up and hope for lucky claw specs. Whip will hit more often, but dds spec is seriously poor and definitely worse than claws. You'll probably find yourself using Scimi/claws more often than whip/dds when you get 70.
  8. Use a range/maul combination... It seems to be one of the few effective ways of using a maul. If you spec fails, then you're relying on heavy hitting. Against one defence pures, i've seen range hit much more consistently than a rune scimi/brine sabre.

PJ = Player Jacker. GF = Good Fight. Get those antibiotics from your Doctor.... Sarcasm is quite clearly still having some significant side effects on you. As for this entire rant; Player Behaviour Rants sticky is your friend.
  10. You all seem to be moaning about spells which were implemented long before the update... When looking at the UPDATE from a PvP perspective, it is very appauling. Albeit, its cheaper and you can teleblock and cast higher magic damage, but who actually uses tellyblock and surge? I doubt every few people, knowing from experience people use modern mage and range/melee. As for PvM, chaos gauntlets and bolt is good enough for metal dragons, and how many of the other boss monsters are actually effected by magic damage spells? Very few. Im not suggesting magic should be all about offence, but theres an entire spell book for non-combat related spells (Lunar). I mean, 95+ magic to hit a 27?... Seems pointless.
  11. I usually say this because of price concerns, but slayer dart is pretty nice xp compared to sally. It depends on preference. Yeah, no doubt. It was very useful, but if hes aiming for magic xp it may not be your best bet. Or, looking at the bigger picture, you could use Salamander to maximise profits and gain runes, then use those runes for bursting lobs or for 'free' magic experience in other places.
  12. What happened in that screenie where you have the entire invent full of stats, cash and a pirate hat? Very nice... You seem to have alot of luck with drops, or alot of death heat :P
  13. Not everyone celebrates Thanks Giving, and JaGex is originally a UK Based company... I was surprised they did one last year. Although, i do agree it wold be nice to fill a blank on the emotes page.
  14. According to this link on the Tip It Bestiary they do. And there is most likely proof needed to be displayed before it is added. I'd keep at it. At the end of the days, its cash and xp like you said.
  15. Range/2h is the dominant force in low level pking... Unless you want to range with 40 defence and just hope people death match you, or just get 40 defence and melee/2h... It all depends on what you want to do... In fairness, i find low level f2p pking a total waste. Everyone runs, teleports or is just a total prat. Dont pump time and effort into a low level account when you can spend it on your main.
  16. Well i just got a 1.3m (sara kite) for a 5 minute clue.. Seems alright for little effort. I tend to do all clues now since i've unlocked every area apart from Fishing Guild. its hit and miss... If a clue takes an hour and get 50k, it seems like a waste. WIthout taking opportunity cost into account, you have nothing to lose from doing them.
  17. Meh, i dont exactly agree with it, but if people dont like, they could always try harder to out hit you... 4/10
  18. Stupid/10 for alching that many brawlers... All i do is kill targets and in maybe 80 targ kills? I never got one.
  19. I wouldn't exactly advice Salamander at Barrows for fast xp, it doesn't give 4 per damage. I think its like 2.5 but i may be wrong. You could try slayer dart there - its not as fast as some other methods, but you'll definitely make money.
  20. The xp isn't exactly great, but Metal Dragons spring to mind. Depending on how many you intend to kill depends on the profit/loss situation, but they're possibly the most viable option to train on if you're looking for a long-term profit possibility. If not, im told Blue Dragons make a profit too. But i've never tried that.
  21. Barrows is relatively easy at anything above 60+, provided you know what you're doing and have the right gear. I'd advise to get 70 range and use a black salamander with tank gear. You can use it on all the brothers as it had multi function, and it not effected by mage bonus. (much) With 70 defence/prayer and 75 mage, praying on only ahrim, karil and dharok (sometimes its not needed on ahrim but i didnt take hides), i easily manged 3 chests per run. Theres loads of guides in the Tip It Guide Section on this forum, look there for some in-depth detail on the best methods.
  22. 76king is pretty much nerfed. You used to gain ep and kill a person with a 76k cash risk for a decent drop, then they'd do the same to you - repeat until you run out of ep/cash... Its frustrating to normal playerkillers such as myself, as when a target or rouge kill wants a rematch, the drops are pathetic unless you wait over an hour. Having said that, i had 100ep and killed a guy who was eping (76k+) risk, and all i got was a glory amulet and that wasn't a '76k kill' It seems Jagex prior to update used to factor in mostly your ep and the risk... Now it seems everything from duration of fight, level difference, food eaten etc all effects the drop. I've had fights on targets last seconds, 6-7 hit sometimes, and got a pretty poor drop with high ep, but had fights which has lasted ages and good a decent drop with low ep... Its kinda random.
  23. People day-in-day out post this exact question... Check the other posts and use the search button and you'll find atleast 10 in the first 5 pages. I mean, you're 82 summoning, surely you know a thing or two about charm hunting that could aid your friend?... Here is the most logical path your friend should take; Training slayer for charms - slayer generates charms, cash and melee/slayer experiences - these charms, although not fantastically fast, will help train summon - the drops will cover the cost and the melee/slayer xp will eventually enable him to unlock and effecitively kill Dust Devils - keep killing these for charms and eventually you'll have the melee xp/summon level needed for waterfiends - alternatively, continue to slay collecting charms and making money then use the cash of burst rock lobs which will gather charms and train summoning... There really is not right way for anyone to collect charms at such low levels... Of course at level 85+ melee there are the clear winners for charm droppers, however hes sub 75 on all melee and has a pretty poor slayer level, so im just putting two and two together...
  24. Well i dont mean to sound obvious, but dont die... Runescape is so easily accesible, to be honest, theres not many places in Runescape you could die at and not manage to get back in time... Especially with the choice of items it seems you had on - you were not boss hunting, so what exactly were you doing? Unless of course im missing something and all those items you listed as lost were ringed white on your items kept of death, and therefore you lose them every time you die without the opportunity to get them back from your gravestone should you return. There was a time when players could poach everything you dropped... If you can play in a time where you can lose your entire bank to a looter in seconds, but cant get back to a gravestone in 6 minutes, you've got too cushy with the user-friendly Runescape 2009.

I am ranting because I am unable to sell my rares for prices people are willing to buy them at. Then either; a) get members B ) keep them c) sell them on GE c) stop fuelling junk trading and price manipulation by trying to sell them above GE price.
