The world is ending on May 21st
So, we've got a bunker in Iceland and the TZDF sanctuary somewhere in the southeastern USA. Odds are pretty good. If the internet, cell phones, or radio still works, the two bases can coordinate to survive and secure domination over both North America and Europe. You can assume that the believers will allow the apocalypse to happen, and nonbelievers will be too stunned to do anything. We're the only ones that seem intent on surviving it. There will be very little competition.

We've got a pretty good track record for surviving the unsurvivable, amirite? Booya. My money's on 2100, as a result of both global warming and nuclear winter.

Impressive. But I'll won't take the chance... er, where's the TIF Bunker again? Dammit, I had the coordinates down somewhere, but I deleted them. I've never been to an end of the world before. Should be fun. At least the Giants won the World Series before it happened

Tip.It Times - 15th May 2011
It's a lot easier (and more reasonable, relatively) to have maxed all of the skills and finished every task/quest than it is to have done all that PLUS all of the minigames and such that nobody even plays anymore (The cape probably did a number on reviving Chompy Hunting, for example). It's an incredibly powerful cape, and it's restricted as such. The trim's just cosmetic, and probably intended either to revive the lesser used parts of the game (Here's to the chompy hunters!) and reward those who have literally done it all. Kind of like how a very lore-heavy but otherwise useless quest, or a hat that signifies your PKing skill is going to appeal only to that kind of player. I applied back when they did that recruitment thingy, but I'm not nearly active enough

The Cursed Planet
But presumably she could be a wolf for long enough to finish the battle and rest.

Wielding Battleaxes and Longswords with two hands
What makes it only a bit better? It's a good suggestion, I'm just not thrilled with the state of combat in general, for completely unrelated reasons :-P Once the game gets balanced a bit more it'll be nice.

Wielding Battleaxes and Longswords with two hands
The thing is, how would using two hands to attack make you attack any faster? Weapons like thrown weapons, whips and rapiers, as mentioned before, aren't really meant to be used with two hands at all, while weapons like longswords and battleaxes are underpowered as it is and need whatever buff they can get. The idea is sacrificing speed for power, but as it is, it's sacrificing speed for not much power at all.

Wielding Battleaxes and Longswords with two hands
Isn't the D&D version of it that you get more strength from two hands? Extra speed doesn't make much sense either way. Nor does two handed fighting with some one-handed weapons, like whips and rapiers. Bonus damage would probably make weapons like longswords, battleaxes, and warhammers a lot more useful, especially in F2P where we don't have defenders to skew the balance.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I'm not sure that my dislike of Family Guy has been made clear enough, even though over half of my posts (And probably a considerable portion of overall posts) on this thread have dealt with the issue. Therefore, I must make an additional post per page in order to ensure that this message is known by all members of the Off Topic clique. THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW That said, I am disturbed by the fact that a site which I am a regular user of is undergoing some form of error. One might say that the hell has been annoyed out of me.

 As a former classics elitist, I have to say you're missing out. There's awesome music made after 1990 if you're willing to dig a bit, and going through life limiting yourself to a small bit of music is your own loss.

Scorpions ARE mainstream. All of their '80s hits get played on Modern pop and rock radio, especially that one. They even came out with a new album last year. They have a metric [cabbage]ton of music videos and hit singles. [spoiler=Exhibit A] Featuring... Uh... A singer from a 2000's metal band. Funny thing about that. That said, I love the Scorpions, I'm not complaining. I just wish they'd play more of their '70s stuff. [spoiler=Exhibit B]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjHsKbbNiA0

And they sang about it. Just like today, the songs are about sex, drugs, and partying. There really isn't any other topic in '80s glam metal, and '70s rock only breaks out of it to go into stoneresque philosophy and mysticism (Progressive rock) or music about how great it is to be MANLY (AC/DC). The best part about the '60s to '90s is that the [cabbage] has already been filtered out for us. You don't think that the songs you hear on the radio are the only songs that got radio time then, do you? Take a look at this, or this, tell me how many songs you recognize. And that's just the US.

The Back Room
I was looking at it more as 'People don't change because society does'. It makes sense though, the unknown might be dangerous, and it's safer not to risk it. On a completely different note, I just finished A Game of Thrones and am about to start A Clash of Kings. Considering my previous fantasy novel experience was Lord of the Rings and Inheritance, my mind's a bit blown.

Seems like we've moved on from souls to AI. It's the same boogeyman under a different name, to suit the times.
