For potentially thousands of years or more. As far as I know, it can be done. It's just so unbelievable impractical that you're better off doing anything else.

So, how do you refrigerate a room big enough to hold a few thousand PS3s, and how do you keep it airtight? Those things might not be huge, but a few thousand of them is going to take up space. Things only start to fail more as time goes on, and you're talking about thousands of years.

And this doesn't seem at all impractical to build? Plus, perfection stops at the ideal world. There are going to be little quirks and errors, those are going to be what requires maintenance.

And all you'll need is a computer that can run for that long and 2,000+ years worth of people to maintain it. Probably also a decent power source that you know will last that long without any problems...

I tried a similar thing with heatproof Bronzong, not everyone figures it out unless they pay attention... Though it's considerably easier to notice when a burned Conklederp does less damage after you burn it; People might just avoid statusing it if they assume it's got Guts, so you'd just have to worry about switching in and luck.

Same. We should be glad, but not like this. Being excited like some people are makes us seem like savages. This seems more like excitement by way of closure. 1990-2011 is probably longer than most people on this forum have been alive, and there's been a lot to get to this point. It's not over, but it's a step toward the end in the path the country's chosen, regardless of whether or not it's the right path. Nor is it as simple as everyone would like to believe. It isn't a case of good versus evil or peace versus violence by any means.

I thought we were doing that with China. Or at least planning to, if all the "China to be next superpower by [3 months from next Tuesday]" is to be believed.
