Yes, that video is marvellous! But that video talks about the forth dimension as time, not a space dimension. He is basically saying that tesseracts don't exist. The forth space dimension is very hard for us to imagine, as it could almost be explained as invisible pockets everywhere. A forth dimensional creature could be able to take the content of your stomach without harming you. [hide=Tesseract] [/hide]
  2. Iraq War. People are capable of doing extreme things for their motherlands. And WW2 related, but strictly off topic: After the war, UN felt so bad for the Jews that they moved some borders and made Israel. I just have to ask: When is our turn to have Israel? Communists and other political opponents were killed in death camps just like Jews. In fact, my great-grandfather was sent to a concentration camp for making an illegal paper. It was pure luck that made him get out in time to reproduce.
  3. I am sorry. Now that you have said that a website is not thrustworthy and then taken its IQ test, I see how gifted you are. =D> And of all the people who are accused of posting a fake IQ, I seem to be the only one who doesn't care...
  4. Yes, it is. Racism is the belief that the human human species can be divided into races, and that all races have unique qualities. If it is a fact, then racism is a fact. If a person with dark skin is denied a certain thing or activity because statistics show that people with dark skin have a lower IQ than other people, it is racist discrimination. Racism and racist discrimination is not necessarily the same. Still, racism, the belief in itself, has potential to lead to arrogance and racist discrimination, which is why many people think of it as negative. The idea of measuring the IQ different "races" is a racist idea, and looking at the politically incorrect language, I would suspect the motivation would be to use these statistics in racist discrimination. I suppose that's a good score, considering that AM English is not my native language and I had some problems with words.
  5. IQ is just a number. I took a test a few years ago (Tickle's test), which told me that my IQ was 126. Then a friend of mine told me that she had an IQ of 127, which surprised her, because she had always thought I was a lot smarter than her. Neither of our IQ tests (together with all other IQ tests) did in any way measure social abilities of creative skills, which also have quite a big impact on your ability to solve problems. I don't really thrust that source. Hardly any serious writer uses the terms "black", "white" and "East-Asian" to describe people, so I allow myself to suspect this article for being a bit racist. Besides, who would want to examine "racial differences" if not to prove that their "race" is better than others? Had I only been able to find the original article.

I cannot say that there is no funny content in this topic, but the anarchist in me really feels bad about laughing at people for their lack of peace with the establishment.

I suppose I would fit into a new culture. There might be a few problems at first, but it would probably be fine after a while. Wait... I am already a social outcast in my own culture for doing culturally unaccepted things like knowing PHP, playing RuneScape and being a communist...
  8. This new quest and mingame has made me interested in firemaking. That doesn't happen every day. Great job, Jagex!
  9. I suppose some games and people will be remembered, but what about music? If I'm not wrong, some of the biggest stars are not much bigger now than Rick Astley was back in the days. That worries me a bit; we can never play music to our kids and tell that the makers of this music were big back in the 2000s. "Do you hear this? It is not without reason that this single was on the Billboard for a week!" In twenty years, kids will probably EminemRoll each other, if the internet is still being used, that is...
  10. I saw your post! Infrastructure for the win! Anyhow, Africa(here treated as a continent, not a country) is very rich on resources, the climate allows African farmers to have several crops per year, and it is not as dry as some people claim. The problem is corruption; unethical leaders and globalisation forces workers to work for less, meaning that they have to struggle more than they usually would have to.
  11. Yeah, infrastructure, stuff like that! I believe that the best thing to do is to invest the money in hospitals. That way we can help the sick, more people survive, people will get less children and there is more resources per person. Still, there are enough resources; the only problem is civil wars and corruption. To Oy_the_Great: I have actually been to Cameroon (reminder: Africa is not a country.). I even supported the economy by buying a wallet for two quid.

I've never been to a concert, but I am going to see Queen in a little while.
  13. Because the makers of the films want more interesting plots, which often leads to unrealistic events. However, the majority doesn't care, and those who do care are just called nerds, which makes the makers get away with it. I mean... Because they like to play gods. Who was really behind 9/11?
  14. Serial killers are mentally ill, so they should get help and stop killing. It's the same with transsexuals. Reb, I think these definitions are about right: (1)Someone born physically male with a male part, but thinks they have a female brain. - Transsexual (Male-to-female) Same as (1), but has surgery and changes everything to appear female but that part. - Transsexual (Male-to-female) (Often referred to as 'shemale') Same as (1), but tries to make everything female, including that part. - Transgender (Male-to-female) (2)Someone born physically female with a female part, but thinks they have a male brain. - Transsexual (Female-to male) Same as (2), but has surgery and changes everything to appear male but that part. - Transsexual (Female-to male) Same as (2), but tries to make everything male, including that part. - Transgender (Female-to male) The other conditions are called intersexual, but I don't know anything about the groups. Also, I am not too sure about where transsexual stops and transgender starts. My opinions: I am not against any cosmetic surgeries, but I think people should really think things through before they undergo such a thing, considering the risks et cetera. Nevertheless, I think that some cosmetic surgeries to fix things that don't interfere with your life quality might be a waste of resources which could rather have been used on socialistic matters. And that woman which the topic is about should be allowed to compete in the contest unless there is a rule against breast implants.
  15. Haha! I had forgotten this silly topic I made back in the days.
  16. This does sound a bit too good to be true, but only because it's so new. It is bound to be discovered sooner or later, so why not now? As for the results, I don't think the world is ready for this, and I doubt it will ever be... Invisible people will be running around everywhere. As if I wasn't paranoid enough as it is! #-o
  17. If I was stranded on a deserted island beach, I would bring these 3 items along: Tyra Reid. (Random choice amongst a lot of look-at-me-actors.) A bucket for monsieur. And perhaps a hose. Less silly answers: Writing accessories. A hatchet. A knife. If I was going on an aeroplane trip, I would bring these 3 items along: Some kind of book. MP3-player. Food packet.
  18. me too.... "Crickey!" "Bloody Hell!" "G'day mate" (Austrian, not Australian. :P ) All those three languages come from Old Norse... However, the plaque killed all the Norwegians who could write, hence a lot of our language died with them, so now we speak Danish, just understandable. Dsavi, you have just been wrong'd!
  19. Even though most people experience their own accent or dialect as "just plain", there is no universal version of "just plain". What you might experience as "just plain" still is an accent.
  20. He says himself that he is between level 6 and 7 on a scale where 1 is 100% theist and 7 is 0% theist. But I am still sure he claims that he has an absence of belief, not a belief in absence.
  21. In that room, I suppose George W Bæsj would appear. ('Bæsj' is Norwegian, means 'poo' and is pronounced like 'bash', so it's almost like 'Bush'! Lol-lol-lol-lol I am so clever! ) He is one of the biggest image of a religious fanatic, redneck, fascist and hypocrite I know about. Maybe Richard Dawkins also would appear; a fanatic atheist is just as annoying as a fanatic theist. Perhaps they would fight each other to death? :D If they would just fight each other to exhaustion, I suppose I could do my part. I could ask George to solve a second degree equation, and his head would implode. And I could ask Richard that if atheism is absence of belief, why would he write several books about it? "Oh dear," says Richard, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. Hmm... You should rephrase that. It makes you look like you are fine with people becoming filthy rich without contributing to society. You should rather put it like this: If you however agree with this exploitation of capitalism, I will be forced to withdraw your avatar. :shame:
  22. Californians do have accents. Their accent may be flat and sterile, but it's still an accent. I am aware that many Americans probably are told that speaking with an accent is the same as speaking different. However, having an accent is simply a way of speaking, and everyone has a way of speaking, from Russians to Microsoft Sam. What makes you think that Californians are the only people in the world without an accent?
  23. Rowan Atkinson. Just superior with his brilliant Blackadder quotes.
  24. Norwegian accent, eh? Since not everyone knows how standard Norwegian accent sounds like, I have made a little recording. In this recording, I am speaking English with a Eastern Norway accent, which is the most common Norwegian accent. It does not come natural to me, so it might differ a little from the real accent, but should hopefully give a good image. This video is also good: Q66HNKQ-tIw&hl=en&fs=1
  25. An accent is tone of voice. Everybody has an accent. Even people from California. So with "no accent", I suppose you mean "Northern-state American accent".
