  1. Not always. Crossbow hits really hard, but it also have a quite limited range. When I PKed in F2P, I had good experience with bringing both long- and shortbow, so that I could take up my longbow if my prey was running away.
  2. Whenever people make fun of me for wearing a skirt, I just say it's a kilt! \ Problem solved, and Ceaserian Øgly has once again saved the day! =D>
  3. Actually, according to a documentary I saw on National Geographics, children down to the age of a few months are "programmed" into co-operating. A baby was looking for a sweet under three cups, and picked the one which a person was pointing at, because she understood the the person was trying to help her. A chimpanzee was not able to do the same thing. This means that a part of human nature is co-operating.
  4. O rly? Where do we draw the line for this? Getting wings or the ability to levitate is without doubt beyond reality, but shall these wings have power in themselves(Wings that can be folded together and pretend to not be there will not be able to lift a human body in the World as we know it)?
  5. Objection, your honour! I would rather say that Atheism comes when someone is tired of seeking the answer. Atheism is an answer. "There was nothing, and then there was a bang and then it was everything." Denying all kind of force behind the Universe comes very silly to me. However, I think most religions are just as silly. Many religions base upon the fact that you must believe a certain thing, but you cannot chose what to believe. [hide=Or can you? o.O]If you start believing in Father Christmas, I will give you £20. I am pretty sure that you would want that £20, but you can't force yourself into believing in something you know is not true.[/hide] Agnosticism is the way to go, and I shall sentence anyone who doesn't follow what I believe to an eternity of cold fire!
  6. Wings... They make you look more powerful and the way of flying with wings must me much funnier than just levitating. However, wings of that size would be really unpracticle to have, when you're going through doors, for instance. Levitating with Superman/Dragon Ball style is my choice, as it's a lot more flexible than usage of wings.
  7. Well, I am extremely weird, so I must have some weird habits as well. - When I'm using the computer, I always cross my toes, even though it hurts and I know it's unhealthy. - When someone says something which is remotely capitalist, fascist or just not politically correct, I say "Well, that's not very communist!" - And on the other hand, when someone says something remotely collectivist, I say "Well, that's a good communist idea!" - When I have nothing to say, I usually say things like "Cake" or "Fish", sniff or just breathe out very heavily. - I do not wet my toothbrush twice.
  8. If we keep on using oil like we do, we will soon run out of oil. The fact that we use up all the oil doesn't scare me as much as the consequences of burning fissil fuel. [hide=Global warming for newbies](This explanation is very simplified, and some important details may be left out) In the atmosphere, there are certain gases that reflect heat coming from the Earth. This is called the greenhouse effect. Without the greenhouse effect, the average temperature would be -19 degrees Celsius, instead of 15 degrees, which we currently have. Close to all living things(animals, plants and stuff) contain carbon. When a thing containing carbon is burnt or is rotting, it will release that carbon in either CO2 or CH4(methan). This a part of a natural circle, and is not affecting the greenhouse effect. Oil and other fossil fuels, however, come from a storage which is not a part of this. When we add burn these items and add greenhouse gasses to the circle, more heat will be reflected to the Earth. This will lead to a raise in average temperature. Even a very small raise in temperature can change many things, and make it impossible to live like we live today.[/hide] No. There is little oil left on this planet. And regardless of that, how do you think more oil to America will solve a global conflict? Well, one of these days, there will be no oil left, and we have to use other sources. As far as I know, there are two major contestants to oil products. Biodiesel - Diesel made from plant oils. It will not affect the amount of greenhouse gasses, and it is renewable. However, there are people starving because they don't have enough of these plants, and making fuel out of this will decrease the amount of food in the world. Hydrogen - Yay! A marvellous and non-polluting fuel. The only problem is to find a gainful way to "make" hydrogen.
  9. 1. Who inspires You? Yes... Who inspires me? Anyone who have accomplished something for someone else through any action and any scale, such as Socrates, Gandhi, Jesus(not in a religious way), Lennon, Karl Marx, Lenin*, Trotskij, Stalin*, and Castro*. * These people have fought for the common benefit for people, but have later become a bit to obsessed with power, which sadly happens when one single person gets to decide too much. 2. Do you have a rolemodel? No, there has never been a person on this Earth who I think anyone should be exactly like. 3. If so, who? I just said I don't have any!
  10. I think I am addicted to programming. Whenever I don't have my computer around, I think of all that PHP I could have been compiling instead of doing what I'm currently doing.
  11. To all those who claim this is no debate, I must say that I can't think of many more matters which are more discussed than this in RuneScape. If someone calls their opponent *-noob, it is simply because they are too hard to kill. In most cases, they call their opponents noob to assure themselves that they lost because their opponent "cheated", or to make their opponent stop doing that act. In my opinion, all honour code is silly. If we are allowed to kill each other, why should we not be allowed to drink a defence potion?
  12. Well, RuneScape would without doubt be very empty without gods, so I like the fact that they have added them. Well, I must disagree with you there. From what I have gathered of information, Guthix is the god of balance and have problems with understanding ownership. Here is the full article of Saradomin's speak. Guthix shows classic signs of communism, which is why I follow him, and that is not what I call going with the flow.
  13. I believe that getting trimmed armour is a goal just like any other goal. You can use a lot of time on getting full rune(g), just like you can use a lot of time on getting 99 fletching. Why should one goal be more silly than another goal?
  14. Congratulations on entering the Club of Leet Firemakers! I hope I will be able to join someday.
  15. 11/10! But that is only because I know you IRL! :P Well, I see that you like the outfit, as you have Olenik2 wearing that outfit in your sig(yes, it is actually Olenik2).
  16. Legend's is the best. The 200K(or whatever an obby cape costs these days) is not worth 2+ defence bonuses.
  17. Well, your thread sickens me. Yes, the new trade update is a bad thing, so because it's bad, you say it's communism? Sure, planned economy is a big part of communism, which GE is a great example of. GE is a good update, which makes the market more reliable. People ranted about it at first, but if they have stayed to get used to it, they would like it. The trade thing, on the other hand, also has its roots in communism, but no communist, not even Stalin(who destroyed communism's name with his own sick way of ruling a country) would have come up with that update to be communistic. I find myself discriminated when people bring up communism every time Jagex kvurp up. Communism is a good thing, for Marx' sake!
  18. The 0's with lines through them came before clanchat, but it took a while before they were used in items, as you see in the 500K win, which is newer. And why would I fake 100K? That's like faking a frog random event.
  19. JaGex just sent me an image where they owned RuneScape in a stake, and won the whole Duel Arena! [hide=Explanation]This is suppose to illustrate how JaGex ruined Duel Arena. I used the old icon to be the spoil. And the chat is supposed to be funny.[/hide]
  20. LOL! Nobody beats me at this! ceeasxderfan ÃÆÃâÃâø.gtl, hyu(Ceaserian ÃÆÃâÃâ¹Ãâgly)
  21. - Oegly41's staking thread - As a few of you may know, there is a place called "Duel Arena" situated North-West of Al-Kharid. This is a place where you may duel other players for a stake. Since I have pretty good stats for this, I like to duel a lot of people who don't have good stats for this, and run away with their hard-earned gold pieces. I'm not too much of a staker yet, as I can't find people who are willing to let me use magic or ranged while staking millions, but I have some matches where I win a few 100K, so why not share it with you? [hide=Screenshots] This is currently my biggest win. It's a really funny story behind it as well, read about it here The two other daggers are from him as well :P GF, My Toy Tank! [/hide] I usually record my staking, and when I have enough raw material, I make videos. I have currently got only one video, and one preview. [hide=Videos] Staking video #1: http://youtube.com/watch?v=xVg4-jm_bQo Staking video #1(preview): http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ytuz5sqTuw [/hide] [hide=Bank pictures] My bank from 22/08/07, before serious staking. I had just sold dragon platelegs, so I look a little richer than I actually am, but I didn't have any barrow's armour. [/hide] Oh, and here's my blog(click here). If you stop by, be sure to give me a comment! :D
  22. For a person who only speak English, it's impossible to imagine how annoying this filter actually is! I can't say the Norwegian words for "good (bra)" or "where (hvor)". Also, some words together can be taken as a attempt to write an offensive word. I support this! The only thing this is useful for is not teaching people of the age 13+ new words(!), and usually it just makes one wonder if it was the F- or S-word hiding behind some stars.
  23. Mmm.... I like staking! I especially like 115's who think they can beat 126's!
  24. I support, you shouldn't become poor from a misclick. But take this as a lesson, "Curiosity is your best friend and enemy!"
  25. People who call other people noobs, are really insecure people who want to remind themselves that they can verbally abuse other people in an online-game. That's how simple it is! You have the right to speak the way you want to, but if you want respect, I urge you to type so other people can understand you. And it doesn't matter how high your IQ is, what matters is if you can use it or not(start by typing properly).
