Anyone up for some games?

I think my dad was looking for an excuse to ban me from the game, and when I got a bad grade, out went Runescape. So I don't play anymore because of him. I will in 1.5 years, if I'm not busy with college.

Next thing we're gonna do is start assigning ranks. Mine of course would be The Champion :lol: And Kents would be The Hacker :roll:

I've heard admins turn them off sometimes. I myself like them, they bring nice color to the page.

I myself support stem cell research. It can greatly help people who need it, and I don't believe that it is immoral to want to save peoples lives. Here is an article about a new method of supplying cells, and it doesnt involve stem cells. I hope this technology is researched to it's fullest. Changing Cell Identity

It's a good idea I guess, but I like the 20 per page. I wouldn't use it, but it would be helpful to those who want it.

I'd find a way to sneak aboard one of their ships and steal a shuttle or escape pod and get the hell outta there.

Very interesting. I never knew the code for the high def videos, I did know about the high def button and used it whenever it was available.

Dang beat me to the 100th page (I'm a little late on that one lol) I wish I had more free time nowadays, but soccer + school = little time for me to play. Plus I play Battlefield 1942 when I'm free so that doesnt help much....

I am a junior in high school, and I got my first job in June working for Mickey D's, or for those of you who don't know, good old McDonalds. I make a grand total of $7.00 an hour, which is about 35 cents above minimum wage. Woot!! \ :lol: (Made about $1,400 this summer, so thats nice) I get a free meal every time I work (it's not that bad, I can get salads and snack wraps, along with taking out the fries if I want) and I get a 50% discount if I buy something when I work and I get a 10% discount if I come in anytime.

The world is ending on December 21st, 2012. Or atleast thats what the famous mayan prediction says. We have about 4 years of waiting to see. If the world ends I'm pretty sure humans will end with it.

I've never even been on myspace or facebook because my parental controls block me :wall: Some of you guys are really lucky having parents without much computer knowledge.

Besides the obvious "Ever Caught Them" and "The Funny Pictures Thread", from my time in off topic I enjoyed the "Buttered Cat" thread a lot. No other topics come to mind.

Thats what I was trying to explain up there, but I failed explaining it. Thats what I have to do, drag the mouse over all the ones until one of them isnt a link. It doesn't take that much time, but in the long run it could save a lot of time for a lot of people.

Meh, my dads a computer programmer so he knows about all of this stuff. I could use a proxy, but I don't really want to try it and get in trouble. It's kind of dissapointing that they have to use them actually, since they can't trust me.

My parents parental controls have made me mad enough to start a topic on them. I understand the reason they are there, and appreciate what they do to help prevent people from going to obscene/websites, but there has to be a limit. Some of the topics on this off topic forum are blocked from my view, and some I can't post on (like the subconsious acts of attraction thread, I am blocked from posting on it for some reason.) I believe that the line has to be drawn when it starts interfering with my regular browsing. It blocks sites for no specific reason. Take the gamespot site. I was on it at school, just by random chance, and looked around and liked what I saw. When I get home to browse it in full, I find out that it is blocked by parental controls for who knows what reason. I feel that this is a totally unneeded feature, for me, seeing as I am 16 years old and I should be trustworthy enough to not need them... Thats enough of my rant for now, what are you guys's views on parental controls and how they prevent you from engaging in normal activities. (other than what the obvious blocks would be, i.e. porn, terrorism sites, etc) Are they even necessary for when you get older?

Very interesting to see. We got on the subject of Runescape in my engineering class (it was unblocked in my school for a few days while they switched web filters) About half of my class of 12 had atleast one account, but none of us played it anymore. Just shows how popular it was, and still is. I would bet about 100-200 people have or are playing the game at my school atleast.
