Tip #1: learn to type correctly. I should just ignore this post. Tip #2: Signatures are made like any other form of digital media. Apparentally you nothing, so you could either ask someone to make one for you for free or you could do a little research, find a good program, learn some tutorials, and go with it. Signatures can be made with something as simple as MS Paint which should come installed on your computer if you're running Windows. Make sure it's the right dimensions to fit the regulations of the boards (300x150) and draw some cool stuff on it. Once you get that down then maybe you can learn more.

I shall "rat" this to death... Honestly, learn to draw first. I know drawing on a computer with a mouse can be difficult, but if you can't draw in the place...

Can't read the text very well. The picture is of 311 right?

You need to specify a style of art atleast. It appears that you are referring to pixel art. Some tips would be to use google and search. I don't want to sound rude or anything, but it generally helps to find tutorials that teach the basics and try not to just do it.

Is unnatural better suiting? Generally, swords aren't wielded like that.

ice_ring nailed most of it, but you also need to research a little about complementary colors. The sigs are very appealing to the eyes because the colors don't go together. Also, it looks like you used the same effect in #2,3 an d something similar in 4. The effect doesn't help much so I woudln't suggest using it again. Just keep trying till you get what you want, don't settle for anything less.

I swear I just answered this question. The thread is only a couple down, please try looking around a little harder next time. If you have Adobe Photoshop, Imageready should have come with it and is a good program to animate with. Otherwise, follow what's already been stated.

Visually, it's appealing at first glance, but that's as far as it goes. The character is simple and interesting yet serves no purpose. The black background and plain text just dont' cut it. The minimalistic effect I think you're going for didn't work out. The text is just a slap on the image. The background really does need more detail. The person has an awkward stance and the sword doesn't seem to be held right. Good attempt, needs more work.

Next time be more constructive. As far as I know, your sigs still have bad text, emptyness, and are boring. Lay off. The sig really needs a background. You may be attempting minimalism? But that's not working here. There's nothing being conveyed by this image. Yes, text doesn't glow when you right it on paper, but if there's text in a painting it's incorporated to fit into the painting. The text on your image is just slapped on and seems out of place. Is that a llama at the bottom? I really don't know how you can improve this sig. My best suggestion would be to start over, it's a nice attempt if you are just starting out. Keep at it.

Well these were taken at spring break. My camera isn't too great so I didn't try for any really good shots because they just woulnd't turn out well. These were the two best (that says alot about the rest) and the quality is still horrible. Sorry about that, but I wanted to finally post something after being gone so long. Not much criticism is really necessary so I guess just look at em and like them or don't. Taken at Daytona Beach, Florida. First one is a sunset and the other is during the storm we had.

It looks really good. For some reason I'm getting a Starry Night feeling but that was pastels I believe..I think it's just the blending of the colors. My only real problem is the yellow used to outline the clouds. It's a little too scribbled in my opinion. They're not defining the clouds like it seems they should be. They're just kind of there. Great other than that, the boat scene is lovely.

Text can still be hidden and not suck.

If you have photoshop, image ready should have come with it. For a glow, just increase or decrease the opacity of the glow throughout the frames and it will produce a glow.

We can't answer your question considering what you gave us. Don't act like it's our fault. You have Adobe Photoshop CS. Adobe Imageready is what you can use to animate.

Well we finally got our revolution :wink: . Now to see what we can do with it..If the tourny with RSC doesn't work out, maybe have our own? Get some judges, choose some categories, maybe get some donations if necessary. Nad had tried to start a topic briefly, but I told him to wait until the boards got separated. I know he had a couple mil put in and I'm willing to put a couple mil in. Anyone interested?
