Please continue to make this happen. Sure it takes time, and we are starting slowly, but every great thread means one less space for a mediocre one! Every real work of art is one less space for a first time pixel sig! er....this is not anti pixel. This is pro ART. As in ..less sigs, more real works of beauty. Abstract and terragen? That is um...alright I guess. pixels are actually not bad for art/drawing etc.

Yeah i've been at blame lately for not being much a help around the media board lol.

Yea we defininately need two or three separate boards like Art boards, Pixel boards and then other graphics boards :P

Maybe the media board could be split. Sig buying/selling and rating on one section. And showing off actual art in the other. I used to like reading media board but 99% of it is just sig stalls and rating posts. shame

Anyway I think it would have to be a whole new board for non-sig artwork....

Mercifull, that is precisely what we have proposed. We are waiting for the administration to carry it out if they so wish. We hear rumors that there is an interest, but hastn' been done yet.

I support this cause and try my best to participate in the daily sketch thread. Since the only medium I can do is drawing and I want to get better.

 

 

 

The increase of real art will no doubt be a bonus to this forum.

as much as i like this idea (ive always wanted to make pixel walpaper.. in full detail..actual pixel art..) im not sure if this is quite going to work out as everyone hopes..

 

 

 

sure i'd love to see this happen.. but really do you think this showing off board will get allot of .. threads posts.. allot of the kids aren't interested in art beyond sigs.. allot are just in for the quick bucks..

 

 

 

i think the media board has grown in the amount of good people.. and people actually interested in the art outside the box.

 

 

 

but i really dont think this is going to work out the way everyone wants.. as much as i'd whant to..

 

 

 

doubt theres going to be allot of active posters.. and not to mention the rate/buy/New p!x0rz thread is going to lose all its good people .. so they wont have anyone to guide them, loss of interests from outside forums to come here to buy there .. sigs or wallpapers whatever.. etc. etc.

 

 

 

i hope someone will prove me wrong.. no harms or broken dreams intended just speaking my mind.

If it is open to everyone the sig people can always come look.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They probably won't as often. But oh well. I would rather have a seperate board where there are one half as many people looking but the thread doesn't dissapear so soon, and the people looking actually care.

But we can't control when we get a new board. We CAN control what we do with the board we have now. So if we continue to put out more quality, that is one less space for the lesser quality stuff.
