Kayla 10) You come to a fork in your path, one of them ultimatley leading to tip.iter paradise, and one leading to your doom. Who would you let decide which is the right way? It's actually amusing how many black (and I use that only because I'm not sure if they're Aboriginal, Maui or Philipino - but I'd put money on the latter) teens do that. And they pull it off with pretty much anything. I'm yet to run into a group of them that haven't been producing some good tunes with their medicore (at best) instruments.

Yea, I saw the zboard ones and I was "what the hell?" reaction from it. Look good, deliver on nothing - kinda like Alienware PC's :P Edit: Look at my xfire sig :P roughly 300hours of bf2, it's more to do with the position in vehicle, team and squad chat, in-game voip, team-speak, etc. Even when I've got half of the keys mapped to combo's so they don't end up too far from my WASD position, i'm still stretching and usually stop moving to press a key, which I really want to stop happening #-o

You should know me well enough to realise I take my gaming seriously ;) I'm moving out of RTS tournaments and towards FPS, so I really need a keyboard to suit. My current one is ok, but I'm really getting sick of having to reach for some keys, even when I have reassigned them to be as close as possible to WASD :( This is generally when I like the Wolf Claw series over anything else.

Right now I'm looking at the Logitech G15 or the Wolf Claw Type III. I just don't know about the G15 - it's pretty big and I kinda need my deskspace, although I do a lot of gaming at night and without lighting, so that's a bit of a bonus :-k I'm not the best when it comes to mice though. I got a generic logitech optical mouse at the moment and that tends to work fine, although I have worn the feet of it, and I'm starting to damage the desk (I have no mousepad atm). So I'm after suggestions for a cordless (preferably laser) mouse and mouse pad to replace the current setup.

While all that's true, you actually need results of those investments. It takes a long time before you got a multi-billion dollar weapon system that you can use without it blowing up your own people. Modern combat isn't much different than ww2. Even with laser-guided missles and such, you're still acting on inteligence, which when wrong basically kills civilians or your own rather than your enemy. When it comes down to it, humans are always going to be the thing that matters. Even with the technological advantage, if they can't use it effectively, it means nothing. Some of the best examples of technological advantage meaning nothing when those who have it can't use it effectively is in the past. It would be foolish to think anything has changed since to make it impossible to lose when you're on top of the technology ladder. And do note that you're talking almost equal terms when using aircraft-vs-aircraft. I deliberately took it one further and put those are further ends of the spectrum against each other because in the past, there have been many instances where the favourite to win didn't. I think there was a bit of redundancy in there but I hope you got my point.

The only real problem is the amount of mature-aged topics. There is nothing wrong with them, exactly, other than them not being suitable for a family-friendly forum - like tipit. Most of the posts are rather well contained, common sense and maturity works. Hence why the immature people either change their attitude quickly or leave, we're not exactly big on it since we post and chat at darkwebz to get away from that kind of thing. Sure it... The polish resistance, which consisted of nothing more than civilians, held off advancing russian (i think it's russian anyways) forces for longer than the entire polish army. You give people motive and the means and they can do anything. Granted they didn't cripple it, but the comparason is still moderately valid when taken into perspective. The "well-oiled war machine" was incapable of crushing a force that was out-maned, out-gunned and in all aspects out-done in practically every possible way. Having superior anything is somewhat of an invalid argument when you consider that it will not win you anything if you don't have an effective approach for the situation at hand. Just last month, did about 50-60 US soldiers get killed in Iraq? You put into effect the cost of their training, their weapons, etc. And compare it to what the forces in iraq did and while the US most likely lost less people, the cost per head and signifigantly more. Hence, military budget is also a rather weak form of picking the best military force. For all you know most of that money could be getting blown on a space-weapons program, or just simple reasearch into new technologies, anything.

zonda, first thing i notice in those two pics are that the fonts are totally different. It appears that none of the text has style applied to it and is just using the default settings defined by the browser. I see this: The thin line is generally caused by doing stuff like.. over since Opera actually renders the newline / first space on the next line *shrug*

That doesn't make sense. You're assuming that to be the military super power it means that your infantry would be able to overpower any other infantry in the world, and discounting everything else that is taken into account when determing who might be the military super power. No, I'm just starting that China has near twice as many people in the armed forces as America. And the Chinese aren't exactly a push-over in wars. People simply assume the USA holds the top spot because it goes out starting wars all the time. No matter if the opposing force is lacking in both armed personnel and firepower :hsugh:

If America is the world military super power, they should prove it by invading China - the home of the worlds largest armed forces.
