I'd put my money on the PSU aswell. All the signs seem to point in that direction. Check it out in another box. If it runs fine there, then you might be looking at a new motherboard. Only other item which would cause it to shutdown/reboot while in BIOS.

I bought mine online. 1GB cost me roughly AU$160 Easiest piece of hardware to install. Open your case, put the ram in the free slots.

When I got home I'll post the specs of the first PC my family had. Off the top of my head it was something like... DOS Windows 3.,11 (it has NEVER crashed :P) Generic keyboard / mouse floppy drive 6x cd-room (i think - the original got replaced) that's about it. Dunno the mhz or ram or hdd so gotta wait. Many hours spent gaming on that machine. And still do occasionally :P But the one after that was: 433Mhz P2 12.1GB HDD 192MB RAM Generic Keyboard Generic Mouse floppy drive 28x cd-rw (I think) - originally 16x cd-rom (died a few weeks ago)
