China has the USA covered; both ecconomically and military. The US Dollar is in recession, military is purely based on voulenteers and the actual hardware is heading towards out-dated when you look at the majority of working samples. China on the other hand has the most combat ready units in the world, their hardware is weighted towards 'top end' in terms of units available. The only 'up' America has is nuclear weapons, and even then the government has to go through political red-tape in order to use them.

When that happens and they keep being a jerk that's when you either: ask them to leave as you apparently can't help them, or direct them to your manager (who most of the time will crunch what you've just done and come to the same conclusion) or by some chance think of something you missed to resolve the situation. Either way they're then out of your hair. You were perfectly in the right there, just brush off people like that and move on. If they want to [bleep] to the manager they'll tell them to shut up and bugger off. Security footage will support your version of events if they want to take it further anyways so people like that have no leg to stand on. If the meat only said $1.99 with no reference anywhere on it being by the pound (or if it's deli meat that's a seperate issue and is clearly 1.99/lb and it will be indicated as such there); they are 100% entitled to it for that $1.99 (general Retail standards) unless your manager wants to outright tell them that product isn't for sale (since it's grocery that would've been hard). If, however, it said it was $1.99/lb on the packaging then they have nothing to stand on, again. No. I never enjoy having to deal with agro customers. And annoying them more is never a good idea, unless you know 100% that you're correct. And even then deliberately annoying them is not a good idea. Explain the situation, if they don't listen point them to the manager and they can deal with it from there. I worked in retail for over 2 years, I faced a lot of 'angry' customers on various levels both in person and over the phone. I've never made a situation worse purely because if you're in the right, you need to consider the reaction of other customers if you don't try to help. And if you're in the wrong, then you're screwed both ways. Acting like an arse doesn't help your job stability or the repuation of your store. Try and clam them down, if it fails once the situation is explained them and they're still acting like a jerk; just take satisfaction in knowing they won't come back. Either because left left on their own accord, or their manager told them to leave. Just remember if upper management notices you're deliberately making the situation worse, don't expect to have a job for much longer. In the case of hospitality and 'spitting' in food and similar practices; if you're caught the entire business is at risk. All that needs to happen is the customer to sue and EVERYONE at the store is affect. Always think twice before being an arse to people you're serving, even if they're an arse to you initally. There's more people at risk on the store side when you want to 'fight back' in any manner.

The guy ordered a McChicken with cheese; because he knows they don't come with cheese so he's asking for cheese to be added to it; duh.

Same here; people who intentially make already agro customers more agro are asking to get messed up eventually.

That will cost your job once you're found. Deliberate vanadlism of property you're trusted to maintain; and it will also come back to damage the repuation of the place you work at. I hope you have some other line of work because no auto-mechanic will take you on if you do that once you're found it. And it will happen.

One time I went to maccas with 4 other friends; every single burger was wrong. And the fries were the wrong size. And we got shorted two sundaes. It's never happened before; although occasionally they've almost forgotten something untill they see me still standing there and they double check the order screen

The problem is people with big SUV's and pick-ups who use them as a daily driver for one person only. Especially the petrol SUV's; if you want an SUV get a diesel at least. Fuel ecconomy, even with a big engine like a 4.2l, will put you on top of most petrol cars on the road at current. I personally have a 4.2L turbo diesel GQ and use about 60L in just over a week but cover around 300km at least every time. And that includes a lot of off-road use where my fuel consupmtion is way higher than it should be.

Movie failure for attempting to cast the same characters with different people. This isn't a TV serial, it just doesn't work that way

Yea... not enough people on the south side... except Shaz :(

Pfft, poking. A real man would wrestle the snake into submission with his teeth. We've got more things in Australia that can kill you inside; then you have in your entire country. Just making it to a position to poke a snake without being killed by the wildlife is cause for celebration.
-
yay snake poking. I did that as a kid when my grandma still lived on her farm.

I agree with Mel : Oh, and "Attempting to jump of the second story with a leaf blower, 4 umbrellas, and 20 helium balloons." is fairly standard. I jumped off a second story roof with just a sheet to slow me down :ohnoes:

Funny you should say that. After all the stupid, life-theatening things I have done... the only injury to my bones was a fracture when I caught one of these foam vortex toys (you know the footballs with the fins on the end) akwardly. The bone just before the second joint of my right pinky collapsed and I only noticed something was up about 3 weeks later (after it had healed) when I couldn't close that finger :wall:

To be honest, my relationship with Heidy broke down because of some of her FWB's not being able to let go and back away once she and I were in a relationship. So I can easily say... if I was in situation of "she's sleeping around" I'd back away... quickly. It's not just her attitude you'd have to deal with, it'd be with guys who only keep in touch for sex later on.
