Yeh a step in the right direction, but i dont think there will ever be a Standard and globally accepted set of 'Internet Laws'. Every country has different laws already, so no country is going to let another country say 'this is how its going to be on the net, because these are the right ideals and values'. And then what about countries that don't allow freedom of speech, and places where you don't have to tell the entire truth, whats going to happen there? I just think the idea of the world getting along isnt going to happen, however much I'd like it to.

People buy music that other people like because they affiliate that music with their character. Without people buying music they wouldn't buy normally we would all be very ignorant of other types of music. Without these forums I wouldn't have learned about the greatness of Coldplay, Radiohead and Kasabian. Its only because admirable people like these bands that i went out to buy their music, and i sincerely love it. Thats why my now playing is currently... X&Y - Coldplay on their X&Y album. (No illustration needed, I'm sure you are all aware of this album, its not like its obscure or anything). When i turn on my computer in the morning and open up iTunes, i put on either White Shadows, Fix You, Talk or X&Y. Then i let the album play through. I basically bought the album because alot of people on these boards like it. After a week or so of listening to this, i bought A Rush Of Blood to The Head, and that's awesome too 8) .

Alot of my friends have it, but they buy what the media tells them to... I thought 'Your Beautiful' was quite good, but not enough to warrant me buying his album, maybe if he does a few other songs that impress i'll get it. I really hate people who cash in on one hit wonders :P .

Very cool, i read it all. Its like 'meta-sociology' to me. I enjoy reading these types of things, but i don't take them too seriously, there are too many assumptions there for my liking. All that depends on everything staying similar to how it is now.. Its impossible to say that this will be the height of technology, because we can't fathom the apex, its a paradox really, if we knew, we would invent it now. For all we know a revolutionary 'something' might be developed that makes this look stupid.

Good for you for trying to do this type of thing! I run a mile every night, and I'd like to point out that when you first start it will be hard. It doesnt matter if you swim or do weights, it will hurt. But after a week or so, it won't, and you'll be like oh, im not running, I'm gliding. Well thats what it was like for me, for the first week it really ached when i put ran, but then i just felt smooth and such.. But a word of warning, if you are planning to uphold this, dont run every night for more than a mile. If you run every other day your muscles will have time to build while you rest, but if you run everyday your likely to strain yourself. So if time isnt against you, take your time and build lots of muscle. And if you think youll be playing runescape past 11pm you're in for a surprise if you manage to do swimming weights and running everyday :lol: . Good luck let me know how it works out...

I beleive Chelmsford (Essex) is the capital of the world for Chavs. I live in Essex, right next to Chelmsford. Me and my friends that go out on Saturdays and Fridays to Chelmsford have been offered out three times, for nothing less than looking at a group of Chavs. They are the scum of England at the moment, but the thing that annoys me is that they give Rap a bad name, they say they like 50 cent, which im sure they do, but people stereotype all of rap to 50 cent and Chavs.

Well as they say, ince Voldemort applied for the job, it has been cursed. I think its almost pointless to speculate the content of the next book, undoubtedly there will be some power ful love realted magic that Harry will use, im almost sure he wont be using Avada Kedavra to kill Voldement, its almost hypocritical. I think that maybe Snape just wants the world rid of Voldemort, perhaps for a good reason, perhaps this is why Dumbledore trusted him, and Snape is willing to do anything to rid him of Voldemort, such as kill Dumbledore. I'm not sure what Dumbledores plea was about, to be honest i didnt think of it to much when it happened. The dilemna at the end was that Snape literally couldnt betray his Unbeakable Vow he made to impress Lestrange, if he had he would die, if he didnt Dumbledore would, i guess we'll see whether this was the correct decsision (of course it will be). Snape, in my opinion is doing the work of Dumbledore, i beleive he would of shot at least one jinx at Harry pursuing him away from Hogwarts, but he didnt, he (scarily) blocked everyone of Harry's spells with ease. In any case, Harry has some shaping up to do before he kills Voldemort, and I think theres a possibilty that Harry will have to sacrifice Ginny to rid the world of him, I quote to you, form The Chamber Of Secrets, my reason for beleiving Ginny is a Horcrux. 'Powerful enough to start feeding Miss Weasley a few of my secrets, to start pouring a little of my soul back into her...' Page 228 of the British Version of Chamber Of Secrets.

The police did a great job IMO and I have gained respect for the police in London after hearing about this Oh man, don't give me that. I defended myself all morning to similar attacks by forum users. Just read today's article in The Times on it, apparently the officers involved were from the elite SFO unit (specialist firearms officers) and they are trained to use headshots when dealing with potential suicide bombers. And Scotland Yard's firearms unit is called SO19, not "something with a k in it" as i said earlier. :oops: Yes they aim for the head for two reasons, 1. If they aim for the body it may trigger explosives. 2. It makes muscles go limp instantly, removing their last oppurtunity to detonate if they have a bomb.

And who is anyone to say that any other religion is wrong, a religion consists of beleifs, opinions, and everyone is entitled to them.

Do you know if he comes from Frome, because he pro-nounced it Froom and said he hates it when people pronounce it wrong. Just wondering, it made me think of you. On topic: I dont think I'd ever want to meet someone on the internet, but maybe thats because i dont generally hang around with certain people for a long period of time, meaning i dont get to know people on the personal level i would perhaps like to. Never say never, but i cant see me doing it any time soon.

I don't know if any of you read the news this morning or anything, but i saw this in The Sun (i know, not the best newspaper but facts are facts)... N.B. I still think they did the right thing, he could have had a bomb, and he did have close relations with the other bombers, we found vital documents on him, and can probably use his phone to aid us.

I was so shocked when i heard this, because it's so rare for a British policeman to use a gun, let alone shoot someone to death. It makes you think that there must have been something seriously a-miss for this to happen. While How2PK is being objective dont take what he says personally, he has some valid points, at what time does a person not have any rights? You can imagine what the policeman were told, if you have sufficient evidence to beleive someone has a bomb, use as much force as neccessary to make sure they dont detonate it. I think thats what they did, and I am happy with the decision they made.

Good of you to partially change your opinion, and even better that you contribute to this forum alot. Thanks for writing the guide, I wont use it, but i'll point some of my less able friends in it's direction.

I got alot of detentions, though mainly because i didnt do the homework. I never hit anyone or spoke badly to teachers, i just knew i could do well without doing the homework. Thats pretty cool what Mayjest did, i wish i knew how to do that stuff because my I.T. lessons used to be so boring. The only fun i had in I.T. was finding the original global wallpaper file, and changing it to... something different lol. I never got caught either, because i found a way to access the computer without logging in. Lol good times..

My friend did that in an old peoples home. Then she went to Africa to do it in an orphanage. She's weird like that ;) I don't need to work. During year 9 I worked 9.5 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 8 and a half months. I earn't enough then to let me afford a decent place in university, and not have to work often when I get there. How did you manage that, you saying you didnt go to school in year 9? I just left Secondary school, im going to College in September, and ive been looking for a job for a while. I really wanted to do accountant-ty type things but they say for confidentiality reason i have to be 18. Thats a really cool job, if i dont find one some im going to volunteer for the pure experiance.

I had a similar oppurtunity, although i didnt take it.. I was in a local kebab shop with my friend and the owner was talking to what seemed like an old friend when i entered. Well he took my order and started talking to his friend again, he was paying more attention to the friend than my food. So he gives me and my friend the food, my friend pays him, and he goes back to talking to his friend. So im left holding kebab and chips for free. I think naw, and say 'S'cuse me mate, but i aint payed for these!' He just says 'oh yeah, thanks alot, really thanks alot!'. Made my feel nice inside. :D

I could never eat cheese when its not on my toast, having been melted. Its too strong for my taste, and well, too cheesy lol. It is strange that i like it on toast, does anyone else experiance this?

I liked G-unit, but after all this public drama, I have gone off mainstream hip-hop and rap altogether. I think it's lame that they argue, and then when a some with them together is big, they are the best of friends. I think it is a lame publicity stunt, and it made me realise that i shouldnt care about what's going on, but listen to their music. And to all the people that despise rap, i dont understand them. You think it's all about guns and crime, well more and more underground rappers are hitting against this sort of rappers. I personally used to think that rock music had no beat, but i bought a few albums and tried, and now, i appreaciate it. I'd like to hear the opinions of the rap haters, not for a flame war, but an objective discussion.
