  1. So true, but in saying that, there really are only a few tasks that aren't worth it out of all the different tasks, remembering that some monsters assigned aren't even really "slayer" monsters so to speak. And now those tasks can be canceled or permd, making slayer now very profitable one way or the other. It doesn't work that way, though. Cannon and piety cost a considerably amount on any task you use them; over half of the tasks can be cannoned, and that swings the scale far enough that even the slightly profitable monsters lose money with piety. So your really relying on spirit mages, and then abyssal demons, to pull through and break even. Why not just sum it up like this? You can either train Slayer fast, or with profit, but never both.
  2. Hello Friend, My English is not so good. But yourself contradict. Dragon Dragon just silly. Maybe you in front of computer for to long. Go outside and smell fresh air. In india it smell like toilet alley. Enjoy your privilege life. Good Luck Bro. He was being ironic, bro. And I found it pretty amusing.
  3. Oh, my bad. I'd still not rely on it restoring Prayer effectively.
  4. They don't save as .png because internet explorer still doesn't support them correctly and most of their users use internet explorer. Why not use .bmp then? It's still lossless, but for Christ's sake, Paint in XP saves .bmp's as default!
  5. And you don't have to with the SGS? Might I remind you that an SGS spec takes full special bar, so it is once every 5 minutes. Even if you hit like 60 (I dunno if it's possible, but still), are 15 prayer points enough to last you 5 minutes? It's just enough for maybe a minute or 2. Besides, nobody guarantees a good hit. Do you really enjoy speccing a 2 and then having to chug down an unplanned prayer dose because of that?
  6. That idea of a new cape will interfere with the idea behind the QPs cape. I suggest some sort of enchanted, trimmed QPs cape instead. There is a suspicion that completing all Achievement Diaries will trim the Quest Cape later (when they are all released).
  7. I'm a follower of Guthix, and sometimes I find it really hard to find an outfit that shows that I am. The green Gnome Robes and Druid Robes just don't cut it. The Guthix Rune armour is a bit meh, besides, it's impractical. The weapon would be the (emerald-enchanted) sickle, but that's not very impressive. And the Flail of Ivandis is 2-handed. The Book of Balance is ok, though. So, what I want is, more Guthix garments, and make them impressive!
  8. I agree. DFS already pretty much outshines most shields (aside from the Blessed Spirit Shield and its sigil'd variations, but those are too expensive for everyday use). Adding a dragon kite will simply be a tribute to players who want to wear that "full dragon". D pickaxes would really find a use. For woodcutting, we've got the D axe and the Inferno Adze, which works as a dragon axe or a rune pickaxe. Something doesn't seem right here.
  9. Because it totally went like this: "Hey, you wanna unban some innocent players today?" "Nah. I just finished feeding Bob the cat, broke the game for pkers (lulz), and now I'm gonna work on a new hp bar" "Why can't you use your time to unban innocent players? Do you not care?" "no. If they didn't want to be banned, they shouldn't have gotten banned in the first place." I lol'd hard. Although I agree with you. I doubt Customer Support and Development team are the same people. Because every MMO is chock full of babies who are against any form of change just for the sake of it. In before "omg now runescape is RUINED" BABIES! I've heard that it's polar opposite in WoW: "ZOMG NERF ROGUE" "LULZ HEALERS R OVERPOWERD" "ARGH BLIZZARD CANT YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT"

  11. Is this actually correct? Seems to me like it is. :o That's what I assume... I don't know the actual mechanic, but this is a pretty good assumption. We can assume that when they say that the chicken has a 50% chance to do 1 damage when it hits with its attack, it means its str lvl is 1 (randoming 0 results in 0 damage and randoming 1 results in 1 damage). This can be tested in duel arena with 2 players. Find 2 players (one with 10 attack, the other with 50 def) the one with 10 attack will attack (with fists) and the other will only eat and not fight back. If we can test this for a 1000 tries and the 10 attack player hits 200 times, then that theory will be "assumed proven". The thing is.. the 10 attack player must not lvl attack during the test, def doesn't matter and str has no bearing on accuracy. Easy. Set combat style to block or kick. Defense or strength do not matter, and besides, accurate style adds +3 attack.
  12. I second this. I've only ever seen the Spirit Shield (I have one myself).
  13. Can probably be shown with my method, but I am too lazy to do it and will just say that pures of a certain level deal damage faster than balanced players of the same level.
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, that's a gem. "You can get this marvelous booklet absolutely free, for just $10!"
  15. Breake some ribs and make those perforate the internal organs? :? Are you 100% sure that the blow will break the ribs, and those will perforate enough vital organs? Allright, let's stop this, I am getting very nitpicky
  16. Did you know that the redbarring problem with the current HP is not based on graphics, but on coding? A runescape player or combatable NPC can have a wide range of different health, from 1 for rats and spiders, to 2000 for the Corporeal Beast (although it has a larger HP bar, making it an exception). In the runescape javascript, there is a code that automatically converts the monster's current and max hp into segments which are then applied to the HP bar. An example: a monster has 32/80 health. The HP bar holds (for example), 10 segments. First, the script calculates: 32/80 = 40% health left. Then, it calculates, 40% of 10 is 4 segments. It colours them green, the rest red. But what about 31/80? It's less than 40%, but more than 30%. Well, here's where redbarring problem comes in. Javascript rounds the percentage DOWN. So, when the monster HP gets below a certain % in Runescape, the Javascript rounds the percentage down to 0%, and colours all bars red. So, the redbarring problem is not connected to how the health bars look like, but how they are coded. The solution? Round UP instead  You will have a greenbar problem, but it's less lethal than redbarring Dharok and switching off Melee Protect.
  17. Updated my CTH formula. Again, PLEASE do not ask how I found it (or them) out. It was a major pain and quite a lot of statistics.
  18. First, let us assume that the formula is correct. This is how you calculate percentage of winning. Notice that I don't multiply by 100%, as I'm used to deal with decimal rates in statistics. Also, this applies only to PROLONGED combat, meaning that high-strength setups still have a higher chance to KO at the beginning of the fight. Player 1: A1 = total attack bonus S1 = total strength bonus D1 = total defense bonus WS1 = weapon speed (I assume hits/timeframe) H1 = hitpoints Player 2: A2 = total attack bonus S2 = total strength bonus D2 = total defense bonus WS2 = weapon speed H2 = hitpoints First, calculating chance to hit, or CTH1/2: There are 2 main cases: when D >= (A-1) and when D < (A-1) In the first case: CTH1 = [A1*(A1+1)] / [2*(A1+1)*(D2+1)] CTH2 = [A2*(A2+1)] / [2*(A2+1)*(D1+1)] In the second case: CTH1 = [(2*A1-D2)*(D2+1)] / [2*(A1+1)*(D2+1)] CTH2 = [(2*A2-D1)*(D1+1)] / [2*(A2+1)*(D1+1)] Average damage per set timeframe, or DPT1/2: DPT1 = CTH1 * S1 * WS1 DPT2 = CTH2 * S2 * WS2 Chance that player 1 will attain victory, or V1: V1 = DPT1 * H1 / (DPT1 * H1 + DPT2 * H2) Please note that both chance to hit and chance to win are decimal numbers, ranging from 0 to 1, which is 0% to 100%. Also, this is statistics, which means it's an approximate of what would happen during many many fights. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not ask me about those CTH formulae. I will have to write a small essay with excel spreadsheets and my scribblings to prove that the formulae actually work...
  19. How exactly was it hinted? I've never heard anything from Jagex on the matter of Sailing. Seems like simply a rumor that sprung amidst the RS players. Also, Sailing is pointless. At least, with Agility, you can access shortcuts and regenerate energy faster. But Sailing? We already have charter ships, normal transports, as well as some teleporters like to Lunar Isle or Waterbirth Island. How would you imagine training Sailing? Making knots? Or perhaps spending hundreds of hours navigatin' the sea?
  20. About the herb growing... Ranarr seeds cost around 25k-ish, snapdragon seeds cost 35k-ish, while the respective herbs cost 20-25% of the seed cost. That means that to BREAK EVEN you have to grow on average 4-5 herbs per seed. Of course, more to profit. Now, there is supercompost and the Trollheim herb patch, but the herbs still die. The only herb I think you can really profit with is Toadflax, but even then, the income per hour is ridiculously low (50-60k/h I think). So, how exactly do you profit with herb farming?
  21. Somehow, I doubt that a new equipment slot will be released. While belts are technically legitimate pieces of equipment, I just can't see them being used. Also, try to imagine how much a steel belt would weigh in real life. Also, a belt to hold up platelegs?
  22. The 19 bonus slash attack is actually a lot. I know that the attack bonus ain't linear, but 19 compared to the whip's basic 82 is A LOT.
  23. I smell a quest guide... :shame:
  24. So, what is your point? If this is just a game, and is far away from reality, why not make a whip stronger than a sword? It's a game, after all.
  25. Ah, but don't worry, I corrected the misquotings (sort of) ;)
