  1. So with Suomi 30M xp away, we could be looking at 200M all being complete by 9th/10th of February. But at the same time reading the posts here about a party on the 21st of February, let me just say, inb4 Suomi pulls a Phoenix Odin with his last smidgeon of XP.
  2. Aha! The weak link in the chain isolates itself! The keystone to all the trickery and deception is Jebrim!
  3. Oh wait ... Anyway yes teaks have been around since 2005 Wow where did you get that screenshot? That must be like 6 years old, back when I was going for 99 Thieving at Pyramid Plunder right after it was released. Most of my Thieving xp was from ardy knights tho. 133 CB "6 years ago, when thieving got released". Anyways, huge gratz my landsman! :) Only some xp for 5b!! Torilla tavataan!! He most likely meant he went for 99 thieving after the release of pyramid plunder - which was in 2006 (?). Wolfgang, how many people did have 133 Cb in 2006? El zilcho. To clear up any curiosities - PP released in July 2006 Summoning released in January 2008. EDIT: Looking at the interfaces I say that screenshot was taken between August 2007 and July 2008. Not sure what other clues are there but I'll have a hunt out of pure sense of challenge. It being the level 91 room means it's no earlier than February 29th 2008. (Runetracker) And most likely between Feb 29th & March 18th 2008, lest the 30k XP gained between the March date and the interface change date (July) was what is happening in the screenshot. [/geek overload] Further edit (I thought it was over! :( ) Looking at the runetracker for the screenshot taker pinpoints it further to between March 4th & March 18th 2008. deskjethp, happen to have the date created on that screenshot? :P
  4. Could be make an antifire flask from scratch.
  5. They will either do that or have a front page congratuations... In the fine print... new Solomon store stock to celebrate this occasion. We can has suomi outfits?! Yay
  6. Disagree. The maximum GE price fluctuation is still +-5% per update? (Haven't played for a long time). This means that the 500M pieces after a solid month of crashing will be at 107M, 300M at 64.4M which still makes for hefty coinshare splits. Oh edit, missed the post about price changes. Leaving original post as is out of honour.
  7. Yes release it in the blue-box phase just out of spite, where the object of the skill is to peform action ID 11823 on object ID 9958, to obtain the much coveted item ID 10031.
  8. Big congrats to suomi on 100M base. ~4 weeks to go folks. Suomi you'd better throw a party and max out a world.. Just a shame the last skill was not free to play.
  9. They're called "braces," and they find the term "curly brackets" quite offensive Then they remember they are just punctuation marks and go back to an inert existence caring for nowt. OT for those who haven't checked recently, Suomi is just over 199M farm XP, and at 99.3M thief. Almost reached 100M base, almost 24/25.
  10. You're referring to a different 'they'. We will see..
  11. Considering it's far, far less than a 1/13 chance of landing on that spot I think it stands to reason that item placement means absolutely nothing at all. Just because two items are on the same spot (huge lamp and 200m) doesn't mean that they both have the same chance of being received. I am inclined to think that it could well be the same chance of landing on the centre slot, but the population of the centre slot is free to vary by chance. Say if it were 1/10,000 for centre slot, and then 1/30 chance of the centre slot being 200M, we end up with a 1/300,000 chance of the 200M. Then extending it could be 1/2,500 chance of landing on of the red slots, and 1/200 chance of that red slot being 200M, leading to a 1/500,000 chance of the 200M. (Numbers chosen for simplicity, not to reflect real world values.) Tl;dr - I think it is fair to be disappointed getting junk off the super-rare slot. The die with the hardest odds rolled in your favour, whereas the die with much friendlier odds did not. In the end though huge lamps are obviously more common than the 200m prize. It's like getting mad you got a dragon leg drop because it "could have been a visage" simply because they're both "rare" drops. I would compare it more to being disappointed getting an uncut gem instead of say 30 torstol seeds.

  13. You always have to be better.. It's a really unattractive personality trait & very tiresome. No unspam.
  14. Wow this is a perfect example of Jagex's left hand not knowing about the right one.. 7 days before EOC comes out they bother to release this, when EOC would have fixed it on its own. Did they perhaps plan this update many months ago and just squeezed it out in time? Real display of lack of foresight or knowing what the hell is going on.
  15. Noone going to stock up on dragon bones? I figure the combination of higher prayers & bots taken out of the game for I am guessing at least 1 maybe 2 weeks could be lucrative.
  16. Well yes, with that total level you could overtake Jake as #1 on hours left until 200M all skills. (I don't believe this to be the case however.)
  17. I've done that before. I think it symbolises still giving a crap about the game. (For me it didn't work, and I came back later anyway) When I did properly quit, I couldn't care less what my XP was at, and finished on some fairly ugly number, but haven't come back since.
  18. Whether or not you are a dice-host earning mega-millions, or a flax picker, the absolute maximum rate of charms you can get per hour is X. That is the prestige of summoning, that no matter your wealth, having high summoning means you spent time as well as money. Working on the 5000 charms/hour used, and 200/hour collected, you can use up to 240,000 charms in the weekend. This equates to 1200 hours of non-buyable time. Therein lies the problem. In the terms of a regular non-buyable, it's the equivalent of double XP for 50 days, rather than 2 days. Also note that it's the equivalent of 50 days in game time, not 50 days fighting sleep deprivation. Working on an 8 hour/day play time, this gives 5 months of double XP, in terms of a non-buyable. But regular non-buyables get 2 sleep-deprived days. The strange mechanic of summoning blurs the line between buyable and non-buyable, and leads to this imbalance. I don't know how anyone can fail to see this as unbalanced, bar those playing the devil's advocate. I ask those of you who don't though, would you agree with allowing people to get double xp for zeal on this weekend? There is startlingly little difference between the two scenarios, yet it's something Jagex didn't even do on the first ever bonus xp weekend.
  19. Game-breaker. Got the charms & are capable of getting *just* 1.96M summ xp per regular hour? I'm ok with bonus-xp on all but summoning, seems really really unbalanced there.
  20. One guesses that would almost certainly qualify you as having "200M in 200M in all Skills".
  21. With limited shop stock, they are effectively impossible to camp. They cannot be effectively botted by the same logic.
  22. Typed something quite vicious to poetry in general, in retrospect decided against posting - perhaps it is just not my thing, and I do not want to dishearten you from something that is yours. The key word from my previous response would have to have been pretentious. It's up to you whether you see that as because of me, or because of you.
