  1. True, OJ Simpson was found innocent too. Famous people and their lawyers. Not to say he did anything, but the American court system isn't 100% reliable.
  2. He could have just asked, "Where does the evidence point?" and "Who is more credible?" instead of rewording the same things in order to stretch it into 10 questions. It's not really the religion as much as it is the people behind the religion. Many people have been killed for believing god too, meaning the killers didn't have a religion but they still killed for the same reasons as those from the crusades - they had differing beliefs.
  3. I think it's pretty stupid - trolling in real life is much funner and funnier.
  4. I never brought up the word arrogant. If you really feel that way, then maybe it's because that's how you think you were acting. My point is that anybody can put themselves on a pedestal and say that they're more likely to be right than anyone else. It's probably the most counterproductive tactic ever. The second you start bragging about your credibility and saying how "a lot of the people on this thread aren't as experienced as me so they don't know what they're talking about" is the second I stop taking you seriously. You can't blame me though - this is the internet after all.
  5. It's just about the same as Runescape's 99's. Around 13 mil. I'm pretty worn out from that. I'm kinda in a rush though. I want to go to my friend's house for a week or so but I know that if I don't finish this game it will be bothering me while I'm over there, since I'm a nerd. I have to make it a perfect file too (damn nerdiness  ) so I still need to get every piece of equipment, kill every monster, get every Sky Pirate Den thingy, have everyone maxed out, do the 100 tier race, and finish those marks. I even have a list on Notepad of everything I need to get.
  6. I think Howl brings up a good point. The only reason homosexuality and elderly people walking around naked are "wrong" is because society says so and they usually don't want to see it, even though nobody is getting harmed at all (unless you count being grossed out).
  7. It completely depends on how much time you spend on Runescape and what's going on in real life. If you have to support a large family, then getting 99 Runecrafting probably wouldn't fit into your agenda that well. If you're just a teenager who's stuck inside the house for the summer, then sure, why not? Personally, my time on RS is pretty much over. I had fun while it lasted, gained some confidence (when it comes to accomplishing goals), learned a bit about how markets work, and most importantly I found out about TIF because of it. But now I got pretty bored of the game. I always wanted to get all 99's, but that's way too time consuming. I'd much rather spend quality time with my real life friends, play bass, and beat other video games instead of grinding the whole summer just to get one 99.
  8. Lol, can you quote one of them? Just disagreeing with you =/= trolling. Flaming, yes. Name calling, yes. Eatrunearrow posting, yes. I don't see any of that though.
  9. Sorry for detracting this thread even more, but why exactly does it matter if it dies or not?
  10. So basically you're pulling an appeal to authority on us? Anyone can do that though: "I am Zierro the great. I have won many debates. Therefore, I am correct here." I read all of it twice and still didn't get your main point. :| If credibility is what you're trying to seek, it's not a very wise idea to make accusations like that. Yeah... Instead, you just talk about yourself and how experienced you are and use that as your reasoning and support. To be honest, I'd rather you be one of those people that say, "people are lazy and stupid".
  11. Harry Potter is very enjoyable. I only refuse to read Twilight because it has become so popular right now. Seems everyone has read it, so I refuse to. I probably will eventually, to see what all the fuss is about, but who knows. Wait, wait. Let me get this straight. You don't read Twilight because it's popular ?! Not because it's a pile of [cabbage] ? This is what I don't like, people that try so hard "nonconformist" that they run away from everything that's mainstream and popular because it is mainstream and popular. That's like saying you refuse to read Shakespeare or Orwell or even Yeats because millions of students study it ! Ridiculous. EDIT: Or conversely, you like follow something religiously because it's unknown or uncommon. Like a lot of atheists.
  12. I did a lot of training today. Vaan is level 99 and everyone else is 80+. I'm gonna go get Zodiark and finish those hunts now. EDIT: I got Zodiark. It was a lot harder getting to him than fighting him - he was a piece of cake. Those last 3 hunts can wait til tomorrow.
  13. I saw "thread" and I thought you meant a thread like on TIF and then I saw the "from your pants" part and it took me far too long (5 or so seconds) to figure out what you were talking about. :wall: Me too. You know you go on TIF too much when you forget there is more than one definition for the word thread. I'm logging out right now.
  14. Rush - Closer to the Heart Monster Magnet - Powertrip
  15. You're bragging about your Fire Cape in your sig. What's the difference?
  16. Metallica - Orion Mercyful Fate - Satan's Fall
  17. Sometimes they will hate the grind but love the satisfaction they get from the outcome. It's the opposite of those who goof around in the bank all day and then get upset that they haven't accomplished anything. I'm not saying one is more right than the other - they both have their pros and cons. Fun is very subjective - some people like watching sports. I will never understand that, but to each his own.
  18. Tool - Wings for Marie P.1
  19. I didn't just put any movie that I liked on here. I would have put stuff like Drunken Master, Night at the Roxbury, Clerks 2, and movies like that but I don't think they really count as "must-see" movies, just more of something that will help you pass time and give you a few good laughs. While I like them just as much as my other list, I don't really think they're worthy of this specific list - movies you must see before you die. And yes, you can "argue" that anything deserves to be put up there just like how you can "argue" homosexuality is wrong or slavery is right or whatever. What it comes down to is if you have a reasonably legit argument or not. Hannah Montana doesn't have one.
  20. Not getting paid 5 billion dollars = living on welfare? That's a strange theory. I do think artists deserve reasonable compensation, but 5 billion dollars isn't reasonable at all. You seem to be putting the producers on a higher pedestal than the consumers, even though we're talking about a mutual exchange here. Both parties are providing something for each other. Money for cd's, cd's for money. You say that consumers can simply stop using/buying/obtaining (can't think of a good word here) it if they don't like the price. Well, it can go both ways. The producers can stop producing if they don't like their material being pirated just as well - but of course, they're both ridiculous things to do and don't solve anything at all. That was my point.
  21. You did. No, just kidding - I'm sorry if that came out a bit harsh. I just don't understand why bad movies should belong on a list of must-see movies. I mean, if you had the opinion that they were good movies then it would be different, but you did say that they weren't very good movies and that just because something isn't good it should still belong on the list. So then what exactly sets apart a "must-see" movie from a "non-must-see" movie? It doesn't make sense to say that every single movie that exists is a "must-see" movie. What would be the point of this thread then? I thought the point was to limit it down to the 100 top movies that should be your priority to see - not just to say, "Go see every movie that you can."
  22. Yes, and you're right. Fun should definitely be your highest priority in the game. But by "successful" I thought he meant the most efficient, high leveled, richest, or something else along those lines. I could be wrong though.
