What Pet would you want?
A monkey, because they are interesting to watch since they can pick things up.

What did you give to your papa?
Ah, a man's two favorite things. Beer and making his wife do stuff for him.

Detrimental Effects of Television
I agree with Adrenal, that mentality is ridiculous. They try to think so far "outside the box" that they just somehow wind up in the box again. Imagine the box in the middle of the ocean - they purposely try to swim as far away from that box as possible, but they just wind up circling the planet and end up in the same exact spot. In other words, it's counterproductive. If you purposely try to be a nonconformist just for the sake of being a nonconformist, it makes you worse than the sheep - you're a sheep to your own ideals. Question everything? Fine, but that means to question yourself as well.

What are you listening to right now!?
Iron Maiden - Powerslave I've come to the conclusion that this song has my favorite solo of all time.

Stuff you could NEVER get into
Actually it's about drugs, sex and money. Yup, it's a complete sell-out. I think if you have nothing new to contribute to the music industry, then GFTO. That's the only time I ever used that phrase but I think it was very appropriate here.

Final Fantasy Discussion thread
Yes, you can get it in Henne Mines (Phase 2) even if you opened those other 4 chests, but there is only a 1/1000 chance. I heard it makes people go crazy.

Final Fantasy Discussion thread
Haha, what a coincidence - I fought Fafnir tonight too. He was tough as hell, but I beat him. A trick I learned is to use his enormous size as an advantage and have someone stay behind him while the other characters are in front, that way his breath and spells don't hit all of you. Also took out Gilgamesh and got all his Genji stuff. Six more hunts to go.

Grand Exchange
What you might deem as the best training method is subjective. You always have to take into account factors such as personal enjoyment. I could have done black-jacking to 99 Thieving, but I chose Plunder instead to break the monotony. And alching might not be the most efficient way of training but it sure is simple.

What scares you?
Death of loved ones. I haven't really had anyone that close to me die before, so I'm afraid I won't be able to cope with it well at all.
-
A cool movie, that has more meaning to me now.
It's nice to see that her parents had good closure. And I know this might come off as horrible, but I think it was a nice thing that she died the same day she seen it - it was a good last day of life.

Pirated movies: Why?
I don't know... I don't think that just because someone can get something for free that there is no point to use their money for it. I was mainly arguing against this point: Gift exchanges are a big part of our tradition (Christmas, birthdays, graduation, etc.), and paying to support your favorite company might be a much more rare tradition, but it's still a reason to pay for something even if there are means of getting practically the same material for a cheaper price.

Average Runescapians IQ: 60
Can you kindly point out my contradiction instead of just quoting me and saying it's a contradiction? I'm not saying that I never do it like he did, but if I did I would like to know where it is. Honestly, you're just quoting random things I said with no interrelation. I can do the same exact thing: "These are contradicting." See how ridiculous that looks? This same argument can be used to say that it's wrong to get upset about racism. Why do you need to announce this to us? Why can't you just simply do it? Oh, that's right. Because you want everyone to think you're the bigger person... something you blamed me for. So far, A Local Guy was the only one to use an actual insightful argument that wasn't a complete cop-out or personal jab. And for that, I applaud him. The only reason this debate is going nowhere is because you choose to not to use rationale, and instead only go for ad-hominems which is a logical fallacy, really killing your whole argument (or lack of argument). You guys are fighting with emotion rather than logic. Like I said time and time again, go back to my old posts and read how I was asking for you to support your arguments. You gave none and instead turned it into a big flamefest. Sorry, but that bores me. If I want to insult a person, I'll go on Myspace. If I want to have a meaningful discussion, I use TIF. You guys just got angry that I disagree with you, abandoned the original argument, started flaming me, I fought fire with fire (and even complemented them with pertinent points unlike you), and now you just run off and blame me for this whole mess. We need our own drama show.

Your comparison is invalid. You said you agreed to stop arguing on this thread, then you post an argument defending yourself when 3rkid spoke. You contradicted yourself. I don't really want him to drop it. I'm saying that if he's going to tell us what to do, then he should do it himself too. You just misunderstood the context in which I was using the word "and".

I never agreed to that. Apparently you haven't either, since you keep on arguing too. This is like your third contradiction now.

I don't like pissing people off unless they start with me first. Like I said, instead of bringing up a valid point or even a point at all, you just went into stalemate mode and said, "You're being ridiculous" with no support. If you'd go back and read my posts, I was pleading you to actually stick to our discussion instead of sticking to the flamefest. Of course, you chose the latter though. Oh yeah, and why are you getting pissed? I thought you said it was immature to care about what others say on this thread? Can you stop being a hypocrite and drop it yourself? Nobody is forcing you to post here. Like I said, you're just on a high horse telling everyone what they can and cannot say or think, while doing the same things yourself. Quite contradictory if you ask me. Also, it's not wise to claim that you never contradict yourself. Everyone does it once in a while - we're only human. Saying that you never do only kills your credibility instead of augmenting it. You're right about that. I guess a more appropriate analogy would be that he's suggesting it's okay to say, "The majority of blacks are thieves," or something along those lines, instead of targeting every single black person (this is still racism though). But either way, racism is unfair and labeling an entire community's IQ level is unfair, so people have the right to get upset about this unfairness. They are both cases of an angry person taking the actions of a few and blowing it out of proportion and making it seem like it's a reflection of the community or race - a generalization. I'm against these types of generalizations. That people have the right to defend themselves from being generalized.

Pirated movies: Why?
But your other point was that paying for merchandise in order to support your favorite band or company was such a rare thing. I would think you would abide by the same standards and realize that giving someone a burnt cd as a gift is also a very rare thing. But I've already specified that it is rare. You just reiterated what I said and used it as a counterargument. It's a given that this is a rare practice - I said this in my first post. In other words, I was saying it was a small point, but still a point that should be taken into account nonetheless. You countered by telling me it was a small point.

Pirated movies: Why?
There's no way a burnt cd is as good of a gift as a brand new cd. Like I said, paying for a gift is a common tradition. The only other type of meaningful gifts would be those that have a personal value to them (something you made by your own hands, something that refers to an inside joke between you and them, and at the very worst - a mixed cd). Like I said (again), it's not as common as the tradition of gift buying but it still exists. You can't speak for everyone and tell me that the only people who care about the company are those who don't pirate. I know they aren't CD's, but it still demonstrates that some people do want to help out the bands, companies, or whatever that they like. One of the reasons I have so many band-T's is because I like the feeling of contributing towards a band that made music I enjoy, so it gives me a good feeling of mutuality. They gave me something I like, so it's not that hard to believe that sometimes I would want to return the favor.

I vowed never to rant.. but oh well.
I feel your pain. This is why I hate clan chats in general. There's nothing worse than a bunch of nerds trying to be funny by being randumb. Oh yeah and they have the power to kick, which gets to their heads and makes them feel important.

When and How did you find about Runescape?
Some kids showed my brother and my brother showed me. I was always into RPG's and it was also free and online.

One Small Favour as a level 3.
Yeah, I believe that he did it too but you can't blame someone for being a little too skeptical. People fake things over the internet all the time. For example: maturity.

Futurama in 2010!
Cool, I'm sick of the repeats. It seems like there are only 20 Futurama episodes because I don't really watch the show that much but whenever I do, it's always an episode I've seen like 5 times already. I used to hate it too, but then I realized that it was only Lisa and Maggie that I hated.
