Nice, you just completely proved the point Lateralus made.

Obviously. I give you too much credit - I thought you could figure things like that out. If I'm saying that my previous post holds the answer, doesn't commonsense tell you to tell me why my previous post is "incorrect"?
  4. Oh don't get me wrong, I know it's not unreasonable to think that way - my post wasn't directed towards nonbelievers as a whole. I understand atheism just as much as I understand theism. It's the intolerance of the other party which I don't like. If there was a Christian proclaiming that everyone who doesn't believe is an idiot, then I'd feel the same way about them. In my post I said that both faith and logic are man-made tools, so neither can be perfect. Just for the record, I'm Agnostic. Yeah, biased, I know. \ It's either perfect or it's not. I don't see how there can be a middle ground here... but you can explain it to me if I'm wrong. I never said logic wasn't good - it's just not good enough when dealing with things of this nature. PS: I like your last paragraph. :P

So you want me to repeat my previous post over and over again until you finally get it?
  6. Looks like you actually don't understand. I never said that. Anyways to Lateralus: I know and I hope you didn't think I meant to abandon logic. It is the best we have, but when you use it to try to explain the great mysteries of the universe, it's almost pointless. No matter what kind of reasoning we use, all it will come down to is theories yet some people think that we have substantial proof that there is no way in hell that a God can exist. (Yes, pun intended.)

Sorry, I didn't know "pointless" and "for no reason" meant different things DaN. The only excuse you can have now is that English isn't your first language. Also, you said I don't need a reason to do anything as long as it doesn't harm anyone. You asked my "Why bother posting?" ("What is your reason for posting?") Didn't you just say there doesn't need to be a reason...? Your posts are oh so contradictory that it's quite amusing.

There doesn't need to be a reason to do anything, so long as you don't harm another person in the process. What's this here DaN? Looks to me like you're saying you did so for no reason, unless you're just stating something for the hell of having a reply... which would make it irrelevant. :shame:
  9. Wow, even as an anti-religious person, I have to say the religious people here are making much more sense. For some reason, people think that logic is an infallible tool that can crack all the codes in the universe. There's a problem with that. Logic is a tool used by man, just like faith therefore neither can be ever considered "perfect". Just think about animals. They use some degree of logic and to them, it probably seems 'perfect'. For example, there is an experiment where a mouse presses a button to get food - logic is being applied there, even though it's a very scant amount. Human logic is more advanced, but I'm pretty sure it's nowhere near perfect. I'm sure if there are higher beings out there, they are capable of making our logic look like that of a mouse's. There are some things in the universe that we still cannot grasp and I doubt we ever will. Why? Because our logic is limited, just like a mouse. In other words, the logic of human is not perfect so I don't see why people put so much trust into it. If you ask me, that's just the definition of closed-mindedness. I know I'm gonna regret posting this, but oh well. I'll be happy if at least one person understands. *submits*
  10. This year sucks. We went from 4 periods to 7 now, and the teachers still give us the same amount of work. My grades were so high last year and I'm so accustomed to the old schedule that I don't think I'm going to do well this year. But as far as friends go, this year is definitely better when it comes to that.
  11. Unfortunately, I think you're already using the best combat method for F2P. :|
  12. Prices change. The only thing that doesn't change is the people's overreactions to price changes. Am I the only one who is tired of all these economic threads on General Discussion?
  13. I'd prefer if people trained their Strength with combat. I don't support. It would ruin the balance with Attack and Defence too. A separate weightlifting skill would be better, even though it still sounds lame. Hmm... Maybe an Athleticism skill.
  14. Yes, and peel their eyelids off while making them face the bright sun. ;)

I agree - I'd get 70+ in your combat stats, training on the monsters in the Stronghold of Security at Barbarian Village.
  16. Well then it looks like you have a TON of new material to see. Oh and quests are vital - they allow you to have access to multiple activities and areas in the game.
  17. 2087/125 = 16.696 I used to be almost 18 until Summoning came out. :x
  18. Explore and try out the member skills and quests. Picking flax at Camelot is good money for new members.
  19. I agree with Will. Technically, he is rich no matter how unfair it sounds. It doesn't matter about who made the money or where it came from - the fact is that Johnny has tons of money and objects at his disposal.
  20. You're in the same boat as me. ;) Good luck with that combat training.
  21. Thanks all. School has been slowing me down a lot lately, but the weekend is coming up soon. :P
  22. This is for Player VS NPC - not Player VS Player. *Guthans - the heal is very very useful *Dharoks - for training, this is good because you can get yourself to like 5 HP and then put on Protect from Melee at Ape Atoll and kill the apes with your massive hits *Torags - the Defence is great for the cost, but the special is useless (if you buy this, do not get Hammers - use a whip instead) *Veracs - offers a Prayer bonus and hits through pretty well (not very good for training, but does well in PVP)
  23. You can actually profit from training Magic if you use the Magic Training Arena - or you can lose millions training it via Ancients. I don't have a problem with the cost. Look at the Melee weapons - God Swords are worth millions and millions. There is no staff that can compare to the price of those weapons. Also take a look at Range. Some of the best bolts can eat your whole wallet.
  24. A special PVP site for the new upcoming update? Or a new quest?
