Yanks, it's the fact that Jagex doesn't want it to be a game like that. I'm sure many other players agree too. Just because you or your friend don't care that you devalue the achievements of others, doesn't mean it's the reasonable thing to do. For tons of people, RS is a game about achievements. Why do you think remarks such as, "Nice cape," and "Nice level," are so common? You're telling me you have fun reaping rewards while skipping the actual work? Sorry, but that's just as silly as using a "God-mode" cheat. One more point. It makes things unfair. A rich kid with absolutely no patience or willpower can get a Construction Cape in the matter of days. Now compare him to the hard working Runescaper that spent hours and hours actually earning that money. And to be honest, I'd love to see that argument about, "Some people can play more than others so that's unfair too!" It's one of the funniest things I've set eyes on. :)

Well, I hope they remove a lot of them because the only ones I like are the Xp rewards and the maze. All of the other ones are just nuisances to me. The purpose of them was to stop bots but now we don't have that problem like we used to though.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this belongs in the sub-forum for music. Anyways, my favorite is probably Ride the Lightning by Metallica. So many good songs on there.

Yeah, that was a good point. I guess you can't really put the blame on the actual band because everyone changes. But you can't really blame the fans either for disliking the changes.

No one ever wins fights about which band is better. There are obviously reasons why people like a band, and reasons why people don't. It's highly opinionated so it's pointless to argue about. :|

Same here. The feeling of losing friends over greed or stupid reasons hurts. I could care less about dying or losing items - it's happened, but I guess since there is an emotional factor behind it, that's why losing friends hurts more.

It's a fad to hate RS - I dare you to mention Runescape on WOW. You'll be lucky if you're not flamed to hell. But the funniest thing is, most of the ones who will yell at you for it are ex-players. :lol:

Huh? I think you have Mining confused with Woodcutting or Fishing... Unless you were talking about Ess. But Mining is still definitely one of the harder skills to train.

One of my friends said, "Load and St. Anger are good albums - but not good Metallica albums." I agree with him. It's kind of like they changed into a whole different band - still talented, but far different than they used to be. That's why they still have fans, but it's also why they have an ex-fan club. :lol: Most of the things in their music that they altered are the ones that got them fans in the first place. I have to say, I miss the James that screamed instead of the one that sings.

Unforgiven III? You got to be kidding... Metallica had so much potential until Bob Rock came along and stripped them of their punkish attitude. I still like some of the songs from St. Anger - but not nearly as much as I enjoyed their first few albums.
