  1. Exactly, it's just retrospect. We're just so set on the idea that: Past > Present. But the fact at hand is that when we reminisce, we barely ever think about the bad things - only the good ones.
  2. Well, I don't have a favorite fav - but I have a least favorite fav: What is your favorite season? Seriously, that's really hard to answer... Christmas + My Birthday V.S. No school. :x
  3. No, but it all adds up. There is no one single reason for becoming a member - it's the list of all the benefits that racks the customers in. Achievement Capes happen to be a big one on that list.
  4. I'd probably think the same thing, but the idea of the fecal particles is what's stopping me. :?
  5. Someone didn't get enough attention when they were little...
  6. The only problem I have with English is their boring curriculum. If they've chosen more interesting stories rather than The Scarlet Letter - stories that kids our age will actually get into - then I think most kids would do much better. It's up for the teachers to be able to ask good questions to allow kids to think critically - hell, it just takes a little creativity. You could do a lesson on Harry Potter, and if you had an intelligent enough teacher who can quiz you on the right things, then the kids could actually learn tons.

Well of course. Do you actually think criminals would choose that idea over just stealing money instead? They already have the choice to get educated and have successful jobs. Don't you already think their motives are already too strong if they are willing to break the law to get what they want - when they could just as easily have taken the 'easy' route? I don't think we should be trying to give more helping hands - they refused aid in the first place, what makes you think they won't do it again? Sorry, but I definitely wouldn't consider criminals to be the most rational thinkers. Sure, in theory it would work. But take a look at who we're talking about here: criminals.

Yep, the stronger you are the easier that will be. I used to get pushed around all the time with skills such as Hunter, Mining, and Combat. Now that my levels are higher no one really likes challenging me to the resources/monsters anymore. With the exception of cannoners....

So many that switching worlds just changes their sn's, not their placement nor actions. True. Get assaulted by an idiot once and you can change worlds, but what's stopping that from happening again except with a different idiot? There's really nothing you can do about it than just dealing with it.
  10. Yeah, you're probably right. It will could have a Prayer bonus or something that makes it a little more interesting.
  11. Like Blood said, you were spamming - making it harder for other players to hold conversations. It goes under Offensive Language. To be honest though, I think they should just make spamming it's own rule or change the word "Offensive". I don't see how that word applies to spamming.

Exactly, the only purpose I see in those is, "Look, I'm hardcore." Maybe my nonconformist side is just showing. Ehh, I've always found tattoos to be an opportunity for personal expression.
  13. It's actually quite funny how similar we think. I think it's the fact that some people are too serious to have a personality. They'd rather be known for how intelligent they are rather than how unique or creative. It's more common to see people foil ideas than come up with their own here. People fear being a nonconformist because they're afraid everyone will rain on their parade - and that's usually the case. In comprehension to your point about logic: This might not make sense, but things look much different on a forum than in real life. On a forum, people will use logic to explain why such and such are good/bad. Fair enough. But most posts on here only really count in theory, instead of in reality. There really is a line between internet etiquette and real life etiquette in a way that even logic doesn't stay the same. On the internet, it seems like everything is just in black and white but in real life, ideas and expressions are far more versatile. And to be honest, logic can make anything sound anyway you'd like anyways. It really is just a battle of wits most of the time. I'm not saying that debating isn't fun once in a while. But really, we need to think about it. Why do we even come to the forums in the first place? Not by any means saying I'm perfect - but I'm here to be exposed to different ideas and to also return the favor. What's the point of coming here at all if you are closed-minded - to show everyone else that you are right? Why? We really should lean towards posting out of freewill instead of assimilation to the standards everyone else set for us. TIF is becoming too conformist.
  14. I've made venting rants before. Not once have I been flamed. Apparently, I'm doing something right which these people who get flamed are not. Like I said many times, this forum is for venting frustration - not generating it. In the case of the, "Get over it!" remarks, I completely agree. But when people flame the game on one of its fansites and expect not to get flamed back... Well, that's just silly. It just doesn't make sense to rant about Runescape as a whole, or the company for that matter while being on a fansite.
  15. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean everyone else feels that way. And I highly doubt having an extra 30M to spend counts as "pointless". One more thing. How is it like RL for nerds? Seriously, where did that idea come from? That's like saying Fishing is like RL fishing for nerds, or combat is like RL fighting for nerds.
  16. No way. I'll be surprised if it ever reaches a third of that. If we have been seeing an exponential growth pattern, then it would be safe to say that it's definitely possible. But we've been around 200k for a while now and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
  17. It would start out profitable, but eventually the idea would just lose appeal when everyone has too much money and nothing to do with it. People would stop wanting to waste their money for items that everyone else has. It would ruin the game, and give Jagex a bad rep (since it is currently considered to be a very successful game at the moment). Jagex said they wouldn't take away free chat because it's a big part of the game. I'm sure they feel the same way about achievements.

You should be a journalist. You know this is a fansite, right?
  19. Does that honestly cross your mind or are you just in the mood for starting something? :
  20. Even though it looks like it's not, it's actually the more efficient method.
  21. One things for sure. Retrospect will probably make most of us think: past > present, no matter what kind of updates come out. Runescape always seemed like a bigger place when you were a noob. To address your point directly, I think things will work out. Of course there will be tons of players with high levels in the future, but a lot of them will probably quit because they finally get bored.
  22. To me, little kids come off as "stupid". Even when I think about the stuff I did when I was little, it was extremely stupid. Guess I just forgot what it's like - when I was that age, I made a promise to myself that I would maintain my open-minded and adventurous nature that all the big people frowned upon... Didn't happen. I've become one of them.
  23. Boxers. I like having room and not getting wedgies.
  24. The ends justifies the means. Just because we've developed more efficient methods means we weren't meant to?
