  1. Lmfao whutwhut?? They must have forgotten to take it off or something, either that or they had and AGS or something and that was the game's mini-drop for you...
  2. Soz for double post, but this thread must be updated. The combat levels only appear like (126+12) in PvP worlds now! RSOF code: 15-16-285-57749127
  3. yes they will. also i cant one click abbys now,but most of the time i have a summ out when fighting them,so thats not a big problem ;) Don't you use a bunyip at abbys anyways? And I think this is a terrible idea. I know summoning is meant for non-combat uses too, but you have to kill things to get the charms so it's combat related. You could say that for that same reason Slayer should be in the combat level, but you can't use slayer to attack people, you can use familiars.
  4. More importantly - because soloing it, at least at the moment is impossible - it makes it WAAAAAAY harder to team it. Before, if it agroed on you it could hit very high and then you'd run underneath it, spam eat, and then run back out to fight. You now have to fight it "old school" so eating while still taking hits instead of running under it.
  5. but for that price, you may expect something. Not sure if this is possible, but I think you could just switch to the staff, make one cast, and switch back to ancient staff. That takes all of 10 seconds. Why since the staff can auto cast elemental spells and ancient magicks Because the staff disappears after an hours use.
  6. [/hide] :o Mud staff too...
  7. They look like a new pro mage bonus to me, however often they'll be used! Also, a decent use for soul runes at last?
  8. This is my first! I didn't even consider making another for about a year after I started playing, then made a couple at the same time but got bored of them.
  9. Meh, I use familiars most of the time for Slayer, and if I want to show off I'll just carry a pouch lol.
  10. Yeah, this is pretty much stating the obvious lol. In hignsight you think that you should/could have done things differently but you can't change what's already happened. If he had chosen to go to work the other way for example he may not have been hit, it's just life.
  11. Not if other people have called it an RPG, no. It's called "quoting". I'm just putting forward an argument to suggest RuneScape is not an RPG, an argument that you have not addressed yet. I am allowed to disagree with people. Well seeing as RPG is a role play game, I would say that it is, although not in a traditional since, an RPG. You don't get locked to a certain role, but you do the skills and quests that you want to do, and to do them have to follow certain (although varied) methods. This would make it an RPG, although a very varied and free environment you are still doing participating in the role you feel like, whether it be cutting trees or killing monsters or both.
  12. Surely it would be false advertising to say that Runescape is an RPG when it isn't?
  13. Yup... (Pink Partyhat) (Yellow Partyhat) (Green Partyhat) (Red Partyhat) (White Partyhat) (Blue Partyhat) Prices sure are rising Jimmy, good point. (For anyone who can't see the images, they show the GE graphs of Party hats falling.)
  14. Firstly, RS quests are amusing? My local dairy contains less cheese than they do... What RPG element? Success in RuneScape is overwhelmingly judged by one thing - your skill levels. Oh yeah, and luck with monster drops. That's not an RPG, it's an adventure game. An RPG element would be me not having to train skills but still making some sort of success through other avenues. Thanks for trying to tell me that Runescape, the sell proclaimed "MMORPG" game isn't an RPG, and that a cheesey quest isn't amusing! :wall: I said amusing, not fun or challenging, and for me those cheesey quests are amusing. Although I also like a fun/challenging quest, the cheesey ones are fun too.
  15. Remains the fact that RS is crippled technologically, lol. Iamdan is an idiot for thinking the HD update changes anything to that. I really wouldn't say it was crippled, maybe limited slightly compared to other games but really not crippled. I doubt millions of people would play a game with crippled technology on a daily basis. They manage to make new and exciting updates - in what way is it crippled? The graphics? It's brouser based! and by far the most high-detalied brouser based game out there, which is a huge acheivement. You could say: Oh, WoW's far better, but then this thread is about the growth of RS, and imo WoW is far too expensive, you have to pay for the big updates (like Wrath of the Litch King,) and download patches and pay a far larger monthly fee. RS is very cheap relatively, and because it's browser based the updates are already there - it's minimum hassle.
  16. Ooh good question! I used to live in and around Seer's Bank, but since the GE and me getting into Slayer, Seer's is virtually deserted, so I guess my home would be Shilo Village/Edgeville/GE. Big cities don't really do anything for me.
  17. No one plays RS for the graphics. :wall: The graphics in RS are more an in-spite of thing, although most people actually don't care about them, I know I certainly don't. I play this game for the amusing quests, the RPG element, and the fact I can talk to and make friends while playing.
  18. I very rarely report anyone, but if they're being a jerk and insulting people for no reason (and I'm sure they're not mucking around) I'll report them for Rule.1 because they're acting like a jackass and I wouldn't be troubled by them again if they got muted.
  19. I barely ever PK, but I do sometimes go in BH with a dds and run around having fun. I've KOed a few people for a load of sharks and never lost my trusty dagger. Even PKed a target once who was also a 1-itemer, but didn't seem to know about the protect item prayer lol. Now I have 2 DDSes to 1-item with! : I was never confident at player killing while the wildy was around and simply don't like the BH approach, so I'll probably post here again a week or so after PvP lol. ;)
  20. Some kids in the year above me at my old school played it in the computer room during lunch and it looked fairly interesting. I started an account at home and loved it! :
  21. You're an idiot. Noone has to have an excuse to play a game, if they find it fun that's a reason, not an excuse. Personally I find it a great mixture of RPG and player interaction, and I've honestly never cared for good graphics, and never broken the rules to have to encounter Jagex's customer support.
  22. A lvl 95 and (perhaps) a lvl 99 Slayer monster. Slayer's the best skill in the game but there's nothing new after level 90!!
  23. If I was around in Runescape times I'd either do ranging or mage lol. Love archery, but irl mage would be pretty awesome!
  24. I don't. Even if I'm joking with people I call them a newb lol. IMO unless they're joking, anyone who calls someone a noob as an insult is a fool that can't come up with a decent sentance or insult with their minimall brain power. Just my opinion though. ;)
