That kid that went to your school.
Wow, at least he did what you advised I guess lol. That kid really had balls to actually go up to a girl and ask her if she wanted to watch him play RS rofl. The fact that he wasn't joking makes it kinda sad though. :|

The Real Life Factor
I'm sorry, but you'd have to be a complete moron to do anything in a computer game instead of... pretty much... anything in real life. I mean even in that situation if my mate invited me somewhere I'd leave instantly. I would personally respect my clan leader more if he/she actually has a life.

Dust Devil...Chain or Left half?
Chain is a specific drop to the monster but Half Shield is general luck over all the kills of things that drop it. So if the only thing you ever kill in RS is dusties, then it's way more likely to get a chain than a shield half.

A kiss?
hmm yeah, there's definitely a cultural aspect to it. A kiss on the cheek is a common greeting all across Europe regardless of age or sex. It's not really done at all in the UK though. Not sure whether it could just be attributed to british reservedness. It actually is done in the UK by most adults when greeting each other, just not by kids. It's almost like we grow into it I guess. I would never meet anyone but my Girlfriend with a kiss, but my mother greets anyone she knows well with a kiss, and my dad meets any females he knows well with a kiss, but normally on on special occasions, like going out for dinner or something like that.

That kid that went to your school.
... maybe Abyssalwhip is "Joe" ... I always knew there was something strange about a person with Hillary Clinton in their avatar ... :o How did you work it out so fast...?

That kid that went to your school.
Yeah I guess you could say that... :P By the way, I didn't use any real names in that, just for security.

That kid that went to your school.
There was a kid at my old school called Joe, who had rich parents and seemed to wear Fake Tan, although considering his wealth he may just have been on lots of exotic holidays. When he first came to our school he was a typical new kid; polite to all the teachers, quite shy, yet fairly defensive when anyone talked to him. Word gets round quickly about all new kids from kids at their old schools etc. He said he'd been bullied at his last school, and the kids at his last school all said he was a gay, developmentally delayed spoilt kid with no friends. However, as he said he had been bullied at his last school we took it that they probably bullied him for his size - he was... somehow... round - and for his rich parents, and so we pretty much ignored what they said, to our peril. His defensive attitude from the beginning didn't make him many friends and he would normally make any jokes be directed at other people - not a good move at a new school. The people he made jokes about had friends already, and they started not liking him, so thir friends started not liking him. He then seemed to willingly take on the role of school outcast. He had one friend, for about a month, before having a fight with him in the Library, destroying a bookshelf, causing yet another member of staff to not like him and gaining his third detention of the week - it was a Wednesday. He was highly unintelligent, managing to get below 20% in almost every test we did. What made this worse was that he would shout loudly across the classroom at anyone who was talking, claiming that "he couldn't work in these conditions!" Because of this, anyone who wasn't a friend of someone he has insulted/ was someone he had insulted started hating him too, along with the teachers. He had come in halfway through the year, so surprisingly quickly it was the Summer holidays. Many people reckoned that he would have been "asked to leave" or have simply left of his own accord, so it wasn't a grinning greeting when we met Joe on the first day of our new year. Over the Holidays however, he seemed to ahve assumed a new persona. He smiled at everyone when they came in, and greeted them all enthusiastically. I, along with a few others decided that we might give him a second chance. He even went up to hi ex-friend he'd fought with and apologised profusely for the fight. During classes he started chatting to people and ceased his across the class calls of silence. His grades were still low, but that was for him and the teachers to worry about, and Joe seemed to have turned into a nice, normal guy. He then held a Paintballing party for his Birthday, to which everyone in the year was invited - it was a small school but 50 people at Paintballing would have to have been expensive. After this party, it seemed to have been accepted by everyone that he had only acted odd before due to him being bullied at his old school, and Joe started making lots of good friends. However, Joe's friendly new personality, and new friends lead to his confidence growing and the warnings from his old school started growing stronger in our minds. Joe turned out to be gay. Now I don't normally have anything wrong with gays, as long as they know what's appropriate and who with. Joe didn't seem to give a (bleepity bleep) about what anyone thought of him, or whether they were gay or not. One time that this became blaringly obvious was when I was out in town with a few of my friends. Joe had invited himself along, and I didn't really mind at the time. Anyways, while in town, my mate met his girlfriend, who ran up and hugged him. Joe asked me who she was, and I replied that it was his girlfried, Chloe. I have never forgotten Joe's face at that point. Joe normally stuttered when he was upset, and with an amazed, schocked face he whispered: "g-g-gir-girlfriend...?" It was like something out of a bad old film! He then shouted - in the middle of town - "You [bleep]!!!" at Chloe, and ran off literally shaking with anger/sadness. At that point, everyone in our group, and everyone within about 20 metres of us seemed to have stopped and was staring at Joe's fleeing, shaking figure. My mate told me afterwards that he reckoned Joe had actually seriously loved/had a crush on him and thought that he was gay. Joe remained absolutely silent during every lesson at school for the next week and then left the school. I don't know what happened to him in the end, noone's heard of him since. There was a rumour that he moved to some other country, but noone could back it up. That event was referred to as "The incident" at my school for the rest of my time there, and I was reminded of it just today as my mother referred to something on the News as an incident. It brought back a flood of wierd memories, most of which are above.

Will new detail be on same worlds as reg detail.
They've said themselves that the new detail is going to work just as high and low detail does, and thus every world currently availiable will have New high detail, old high detail, and low detail.

"The Money Free RuneScape"...
You can play this game however you like, and if you want to be 100% self sufficient then that's great. But really, try not to put yourself out crazily, OK, cutting your own logs because it gets you good xp is fair enough, but for some things it is so much easier to use the help of other people in this massive MULTIPLAYER online game. Being self-sufficient is one thing, but ignoring any help anyone else offers/can give to you is just being silly. So good luck with it, but try not to let it overwhelm you.

Days of infamy: the worst is yet to come
To be honest, I don't think the worst is to come at all. Jagex has submitted us to all of these changes, so that those who carry on playing will be playing abetter game, with no bots, no hacking, and no Real World Trading.

How will the new skill affect Pures or Tanks?
Yeah, it's as if they are really confident about it, so much so that they just can't keep it in, so are giving us tiny hints, and then it's gonna burst out, let's just hope that it's as good they appear to think it's going to be. :D
-
How will the new skill affect Pures or Tanks?
Yes it's qite amazing, 3 Develpment Diaries and we have almost NO idea what this skill will be like. :-k Yeah, everyone mocked them because we thought the subtle clue was let out that it was summoning but they've really kept their cards close to their chests. Letting hints seep out slowly, but never giving us a definite.

Sorry to have offended you kind sir
I agree that the censor needs tweaking, they have tried too hard to make it *fool-proof. I noticed, when making a skiller, that they had put the age limit on, but when I made this account it wasn't there. Coincidentally (not) they added the limit shortly after putting Runescape on the Miniclip games list. I think you're right in your examples, but people can really offend people with different uses of the words in your examples. I think that Jagex simply needs to intergrate the censor more, to make completely un offensive words, properly spelt, allowed to bypass the censor, this would allow a lot more flexibility in speech in Runescape, while stopping people from insulting people. (at least with the properly spelt words) *It isn't fool-proof, anyone with an !Q high enough to be alive can avoid the censor.

Is there a "true" training method?
Well, I got to 90 fletching the old way, by getting 70, then trading yew sups for longs ect ect, but then I realised that if I did that for too long, woodcutting would become null and void, so I decided that I would try to get all my own rescources for doing everything.

Barrows - What's YOUR order?
I never do Barrows, but I think that this belongs in the Questionnaires section of General Discussion.
