no way , we the users from the darkside say subBlack > subSilver xeon is nice but pretty heavy on the images and hard to customize to match those images xeonstyle that phil recommended is ickky , cant stand styles that use a fixed width personally :P same for ICGstation phpbblite is nice for a quick load if people are experiencing slow download times due to isp issues

Many of these suggestions aren't bad Adding the runescape information into the poster info under thier name and avatar is the one I am actually most interested in adding , yes we do have a whole bunch of users that dont play runescape at all , or anymore , but everyone knows that 95% of our userbase is here for runescape related information and discussion. Users who dont set the options in their profile just wouldnt have them displayed , easy enough. I'm not too sure on making it 'required' for posting in the market forums as that might just annoy people if they want to keep their rsn private.(mines pretty easy to guess lol) I would most likely prefer it be limited to 1 character per user though ;) --- Im a bit iffy on the avatar size , as cameron said it could just end up adding to load times , which I dont want , but we do want to allow our users a bit more room for personal expression etc , so the settings would have to be fine tuned. Most of our styles are based on subSilver which uses a 150 width table for that row of data, and I dont want to fill more then 75% of it with an avatar , so maybe 100x100 but if changed I'd be more geared to 90x90 . As avatars are uploaded and stored on our server , it would therefore increase our bandwidth slightly if the filesize was allowed to be bigger, this would have to be approved by the actual site owner , so this will take some time to get a final ruling. --- 3 pics in sig , see Bloovelds post on this forum for a more in depth discussion of sig limits http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=453949 --- Runescape ish styles , I've actually already begun the process of toying with a custom made style , as I've never really done this , you'll have to be patient as many other things take up my time and I'm relying on another persons help for images as i cant even draw stick people correctly. :P --- Sub-forums , I'm personally not a big fan of them , but I could deal if the users wanted them , I know our forum list can be rather large and a pain to scroll for some people , but Ii would personally prefer that not every catagory had its forums in subs , the marketplace I wouldnt mind at all as they have more absolute specifics as to whats to be posted where. --- By "spotlighted" posts , do you mean for everyone or just bookmarking posts for your own viewing? If you mean personal bookmarks I would support it I suppose but if it was global , thats what stickys are for :D --- Just to note , when i say "i would prefer" this is me talking as a user , not as the admin who would implement the changes and do not reflect the opinions of other admins :)

unfortunately for THEM , most users dont care or even know the style can be changed , 84.7% of our users are using the default subSilver. - yes thats an accurate stat , I can track these things :)

As of now , heres our limits Avatar - 80x80 - 6kb (6,144 bytes) Signature - 2 images max , total fiesize combined 30kb , total size 300x150 I wouldn't mind upping it to 400 wide , but I would also prefer leaving it at 150 height, or adding very little (maybe 175) , remember though , like rsc , we dont really push the 150 as the max height for the sig itself , just the images, additional height from excessive text is dealt with on a per case basis. As of now we control the filesize seperately , but its possible we could enable a global limit so if your avatar was only 1kb , it would allow you another 5kb of size to your sig image. I would prefer that the limits stay seperate though as many users dont have a sig and an avatar and it keeps the page loads a bit faster in such a case. we will definately be making a decision on this soon after a bit more feedback is posted here by the users , and discussed amongst the admin team. Keep em coming though , We really want the users to get more involved in the forum experience , its here for you :)

I have removed part of your title , I do not want a ton of style requests in one thread , I want each style request to have its own , this helps me track what users think of a particular style . Style additions are going to be based on user feedback , so i need a clean and easy to read thread for each. :)

The file is safe , but rather large (27mb compressed) 111MB uncompressed. From a Runescape standpoint , The guide needs ALOT of work, firstly , it could be half the size if you could type fast enough to keep your character walking . Second , it doesnt show the inventory , which is THE most vital part of successfull barrows trips. Also it does not show the minimap , so nobody watching it would have any clue which way you are walking. And I'm sorry to say it , but your spelling is just horrid :P Albosky Tech Admin

ByteVerify is a quite old exploit (2003) it has absolutely no effect if your java vm and/or windows is kept up to date , most likely you visited a site that still had an old applet which contained the code for the exploit. Close all browsers, Start > Settings > Control panel > Java Plug-in > Choose Cache Tab and click clear. most likely AVG already killed it but couldnt tell from the pic http://www.microsoft.com/technet/securi ... 3-011.mspx

I'm going to comment on this thread , even though its horribly old before anyone else does. The memberlist to me is completely useless , and a complete waste of database queries and server resources, and you'll need to come up with one hell of a reason for me to apply any changes to it :P

I have moved a few old suggestions to this forum that i found by searching our archives for easymod , phpbb, and suggestions, I will continue to look for posts that were in this forum , but I was not an admin when it was removed so i have no clue if they were moved elsewhere and/or deleted, maybe sith could be of more assistance on finding them The timezone mod was found and moved back here , i'll take a look at it ASAP :)

If you actually READ the article , AND the post , you would know that during the interview , he was contacted IN GAME to confirm that it was indeed him answering the questions in the chat session with The Editor. We dont NEED to post dishonest articles and information "reel in" visitors , our content speaks for itself , even before this article we recieved more unique visits per month then people will ever encounter in A LIFETIME. Have you ever seen Zez in game , or been anywhere in the vicinity of him? Well I have , theres SO many people trying to get his attention that it would be virtually impossible for him to respond to specific users most of the time. As he said in the article , he doesnt stand around wasting time , and that includes answering every simple question people ask him when he quickly runs into a bank to store or withdraw items. the same way you contact a friend in game , click his name and type a message, and press enter :P As for who sent him the message , as odd and kiara pointed out , and with odd's comments on the first post , a name will NOT be released as they would also get flooded in game with questions regarding zez and that isnt fair to them.

I believe he has been a Player moderator in the past, it got removed though. Correct , Zezima was a player mod when the moderator system went into place, but from what I can remember , and this may not be 100% accurate, it caused even more people to try and compromise his rs account , making it too much of a security risk. I can only imagine how many people a day try to guess his password and falsely log in to his account , and my guess probably would be alot less then the actual number.

Having 2 installed and using them individually to scan works fine Having more then one set to actively scan full time is a very bad idea , its been known to cause alot of write errors on your hard disc if they both simultaneously detect and try to remove an infected file(s)

I dont know how it is in other countries so this is from a US standpoint. It costs the american taxpayers an estimated $42,500 a year to house a single prisoner , thats more then 75% of the working citizens make in a year. Just the financial burden in itself is justification for more harsh penalties to be implemented for such crimes.
