Wine or Beer?
Why not? I meen, you wont get addicted after a glass of beer/wine. 'Cause mommy told him alcohol, like sex, is pure evil. My parents were that way. Then, the day I turned 21 they were offering to buy me drinks and their position on alcohol changed completely (I am the youngest child in the family).

Wine or Beer?
A glass of red wine a day is good for your health and digestion. Fact. Just wanted to dispel a myth: Red Wine contains anti-oxidants which are good for your heart and digestion. It's worth noting that a single Hershey's bar contains more anti-oxidants than an entire bottle of Red Wine. It's much more healthy for your LIVER to take the chocolate bar. There's nothing wrong with drinking alcohol, it's the idiots that drink to get "%#@#-Faced" that are the idiots. And I see LOTS of them at university.

Live-action Halo
If Hollywood made something of that quality, I'd shell out 8 bucks to see it.

Wine or Beer?
My favorite drink is actually the martini from Casino Royale, which is like: Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel. Very good stuff. I've only had two of them. It's worth noting that I did not drink at all before I turned 21, and have had maybe 12 servings of alcohol ever since then.

Which portable media player? (Christmas Present)
Download the latest firmware and the freezing issue will never happen again, unless it's a corrupt file in the first place. The headphones that came with the Zune were amazing, but I replaced mine with Bose headphones. The absolute best headphones I've gotten with an MP3 player was from my Sony Discman MiniDisc from about 4 years ago. It still works, but I use it as a portable hard drive.

Japan Invents A 26 Hour Work Day.
Japan WOULD invent a 26 hour day. It's to make up for the mandatory 2 hour nap for all workers. I think the US needs a mandatory ciesta.

Which portable media player? (Christmas Present)
If you get a Belkin case, the thing is damned near indestructable.

Are the UN taking action against Global Warming?
The scientist is correct that plutonium itself is not a danger. I could juggle 1 pound balls of plutonium or play billiards with them, with no danger from the alpha rays (dead skin cells stop those rays). But when plutonium breaks down, it releases Americium-241 which produces powerful gamma rays, real cannon balls compared to the "bird-shot" particle radiation of the original Plutonium. It takes approximately 14 years for plutonium to begin to break down and release Americium-241. Gamma Rays go through your body like a bazooka shell. Being around it would mean death. I was mistaken. Smoke would scatter the Plutonium but it would be harmless for 15 years. I was thinking of the uranium smoke. Plutonium is named after the god of the Underworld for a reason. http://www.epa.gov/radiation/radionucli ... ricium.htm Here's a link from the EPA describing how it is created, although their warnings as to it's danger are understated, in the least. Their warnings are centered on small scale release (refined industrial Americium which is only present in extremely small amounts). Naturally unrefined Americium is wickedly chock full of gamma radiation.

Wine or Beer?
Never really liked the taste of beer, but I like to cook with wine and enjoy the occasional glass with a meal.

Are the UN taking action against Global Warming?
Your statistic at the end there sounds a little false to me. You fail to take into account human error. I would never place 100% trust into a nuclear reactor, ever. And please paste some of that case study, I can't load the PDF for some reason.

Which portable media player? (Christmas Present)
I'd say a Zen or a Zune with your list of requirements. My Zune has worked fine since January. They are coming out with a V2 next month, that will have more hard disk space and a more sleek look, but it's functionality is the same as V1. It's also very good for watching movies, and the FM reception is excellent.

Are the UN taking action against Global Warming?
That's a completely false statistic. I was going to call the nuclear powered WW2 sub into question as well. However, American reactors favor Plutonium. One pound of plutonium is radioactive enough to kill every human being on Earth if it were distributed equally. Say in an explosion at a nuclear plant, where dust and smoke would carry it for hundreds of miles? So he is correct in saying that one submarine could kill all mankind on Earth if it were to meltdown. Cherynoble was pure luck (Uranium only has a half-life of 600 years) that the Soviets had such "faith" in their reactors that they had pre-made containment units like the Sarcophagus waiting. I don't have problems with Nuclear power, but I don't want to see it as the norm. My entire region of Texas recieves 45% of it's power from the wind.

Herblore upgrade for you and my minions (Deangut long Read)
Heh, I remember you once calling me "old school." The reason I don't post at SoDB anymore is because everyone there acts like you, with few exceptions. I mentioned the lack of a community and got banned from there. What a wonderful "thank you" to one of the guys who started SoDB in the first place. And I've read this topic's counterpart at the SoDB forums. You added the pics way after you gave the story, claiming a "sneak peek at my bank." And keep in mind that I am only "flaming" you and being "closed minded" because you not only jumped on someone for it, but then go about posting more about your wealth. And don't get me started on your signature. At the behest of others, I will contribute to this thread: Jagex made herblore production the way it is for a reason. To keep it from being too profitable. Roe and Caviar potions if given 4 doses would destroy the market for normal potions, shifting the power of sales of these items to a higher herblore level. It would also upset the fishing industry and cooking industries. But more importantly, it's overbalanced! They made the (3) dose and (2) max on combined potions intentionally. It is very unlikely that they are going to change that.

I'm a Socialist, how about you?
Yeah... I was kinda zonked when I wrote that. It's ok, all us repressed rich people thank you for your kind words :P.

In addition, I like how over the course of reading this thread, it went from 3 hours after curfew to 3 minutes.

You miss the point of this thread. These are Paperclipz' manic-depressed images of us in his head.

Runescape Bins
Want a Pie, the original post and the one you quoted were from two and a half years ago. Back then, you had to click on every fish to cook on a range or fire. There was no cook-x. Keep in mind guys, that this is TWO POINT FIVE YEARS OLD.

Herblore upgrade for you and my minions (Deangut long Read)
Wow you got to be kidding me... First off that's nothing in terms of money... Most my friends have that in there left pocket and that's not even my full bank.. Sigh and second.. you actually use the term noob Still.. Wow... Now I have to step in. While I don't agree with Stopspe's approach, not only did you take the time to show off your bank in the post (which is what I immediately thought when I was shown it), but now you brag even more in a rebuttal post. I reiterate that the only purpose of that image not being fully cropped out is bragging. It saddens me to see that you spent all that time making a good post, but ruin it all with one photo. That inventory picture was completely unnecessary. Oh, and then you post AGAIN to show off more about your own adventures to the same person! If you dare say ego is not involved here, you are pulling wool over your eyes.

Your favorite most effective movie scenes
And dangit, I can't forget Star Trek: The Motion Picture when Kirk surveys the refitted Enterprise for the first time. Considered to be one of the top 25 film moments by the American Film Institute.
