Holiday Event Items, please come back.
1. All players can get old holiday music regardless of when they started playing. 2. All players can get old holiday emotes regardless of when they started playing. And in my opinion, I value the music and emotes far more than any of my holiday items. How "long" you've been playing doesn't show **** about your dedication to RuneScape. If you played 6 years and are level 70 and have a scythe, bunny ears and a blue partyhat, but I have 136 combat and 2015 total level, have contributed countless hours of research into the game in order to enhance the RuneScape community, like my Ultimate Monster Examine Guide and all the information I've contributed to Tip.It and other various fansites, plus have my own fansite which I've spent hours on, and have an extensive knowledge of the game, and am completionist in the game meaning I have all music, emotes, outfits, quests completed, diaries completed, miniquests completed, minigames completed, etc... that shows a damn lot more dedication than you even if I've played 1/3 of the time you have. In fact, the longer you've played than me with the same amount of achievement, the worse it makes YOU look, not me, because I have achieved more than you, therefore am better. Now I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I have far more respect for myself, having played 2 years and achieved nearly max combat and over 2000 total as well as what I mentioned above, than I do for people who've played 8 years and have horrible in-game achievements. In fact, I look down upon them. Think of it this way: does RandomPlayer111 deserve a Prayer skillcape just because he started playing 8 years ago but only has 36 prayer? No, I deserve one though, because I've actually earned it by getting level 99 prayer. Achievements constitute deserving - not how long you've been around. I used to say they shouldn't re-release items, but they give us back music and emotes so holiday items might as well go in the toybox. And I only mean the re-release of the untradable holiday items as this is realistic and can be done with minimal whining from players (I can guarantee you the outcry from the select few who give a rat's *** would be dwarfed compared to the removal of free trade). By the way, this post is from a neutral point of view, because personally I don't care whether they re-release items or not.

Revolutionary Summoning training method- Brainstorm
Definitely awesome XP. I consider myself a Temple Trekking expert as I have full lumberjack, and as I've spent many hours there, I can say it's well worth it to spend a day or two there to get charms for Summoning as you can actually get them quite fast.

Revolutionary Summoning training method- Brainstorm
You've gained 36k summoning xp in the last month, how much did you test it? The same way as any other way of summoning - Getting the actual XP is the last step, and very predictable. Getting the things to get the XP is the time consuming process. I have around 200k XP banked - like I said, I haven't tested it much. Just forget it, I guess I'll do what everone's recommending and drop it. I'm not lying though, and I have tested it. But it doesn't work with a lot of people, so its not going to be told. I'll be ignoring any further posts and PMs about it. Have you forgotten the part where you run things to the obelisk? Making boil scrolls might be incredible exp until you consider that you can only do maybe 15k of them an hour. That's under 15k exp. And even so, you're not getting enough pouches for that off the GE even for one person, forget five. Add to that the fact that if the price of the scrolls get nerfed you're out a TON of money, and this method just keeps looking worse. Seriously, there is NOTHING else he could be talking about. There are enough worlds that five people ruining a method could only happen on the GE. The only summoning exp that can be bought from the GE is pouches to scrolls. I'd love to hear any more theories, but until I do I'm considering this closed and compfreak an idiot. I quite agree. There is no secret method, compfreak is lying and wants attention. Quite simple. This isn't like the secret Saradomin method I discovered with Soma2035, Madmanpur3 and a couple of my other friends many months ago - using the corners of the room to trap Zilyana for trips of near infinite length with a team, and ten solo kills with little attention paid to the game. I didn't make threads about it and act suspiciously; compfreak is doing the exact opposite which leads any reasonable person to believe this is entirely FAKE and all he wants is attention.

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
^150th quest. ^143rd quest. Perhaps you should count them next time. ;) ^144th Quest. Perhaps you should count them next time. ;) ^143rd quest. Perhaps you should realize that the tutorial quest doesn't count as a quest. ^144th quest. Perhaps you should realize that the tutorial quest gives a quest point and therefore DOES count as a quest. ^143rd quest. Perhaps you should realize that what Jagex says, goes. And Jagex says it doesn't count.

Firemaking update/another minigame?
Good point, they did promise us a phoenix, which we haven't gotten yet... I think we can probably expect that next week.

Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
I honestly hope this 150th quest is Mourning's Ends Part III, because by the time they release it, it will have been OVER 3 YEARS since MEP2! They need it, and SOON. Prifddinas might not seem that big, but opening the city could be as big a game changer as the addition of GWD or bigger.

[Answered]Barrelchest
WHO THE HECK TOLD YOU HE WAS LEVEL 170?! http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=872 EDIT: Apparently Barrelchest IS level 170. Jagex pulled another Arrg situation. See this screenshot of this YouTube video at 0:35: I'll be getting a new monster examine ASAP.

[DONE] Icthlarin's Little Helper
Just letting you know - I mentioned I will get pictures for Tip.It but as it's been done before no problem, you may use the monster pictures from my site's Bestiary for your entries, provided you change at least one pixel in some way, preferably a visible change. A one pixel border should do the job. The links to these monsters' entries in my Bestiary are in my above post. Thanks.

Jard Y Dooku's NEW Ultimate Monster Examine Guide v3.0
I'd really like to see Tip.It do this, as this would prove to users that they are seeing the correct HP. I've been meaning to implement this on my website, too... it's not 100% functional yet as I don't really have time but it looks pretty cool.

Jard Y Dooku's NEW Ultimate Monster Examine Guide v3.0
The rewards are pretty horrible, you get Hitpoints XP and Slayer XP equal to four times the monster's hitpoints - which, as you can guess, isn't that great seeing as none of them have more than 148 HP. The rewards used to be 40 times the monster's HP... now it's only 4. I'll never know why they downgraded it, seeing as you can only kill each of them once and they're so hard to get as it is. By the way, due to the fact that all Champions' Challenge monsters give a HP/Slayer reward of 4 times their HP, I've been able to find out the HP levels of all the Champions by looking at screenshots of the reward screen other players have gotten after defeating them. I also verified this by watching tons of Champion defeat videos on YouTube, and all the HP values worked out fine, albeit occasionally being a bit higher due to healing, but that's to be expected. I have their HP levels listed on my Bestiary so if you'd like to know what they are, click here: http://www.runeuniverse.us/npc.ws?keywords=Champions%27+Challenge&fields=0&lvlmin=&lvlmax=&race=0&slayertask=0&type=Search By the way, don't take the Champions' max hits for granted, they're only my best guess! Great to hear you make use of it, and thanks!

Jard Y Dooku's NEW Ultimate Monster Examine Guide v3.0
Glad to see someone appreciates the magnitude of this project! It's certainly been a long and difficult task to obtain all these scans. And thank you for the encouragement! You need to have a lot of patience. I've only gotten the goblin and imp scrolls so far (pre monster examine so I'll need to get them again on my other account) and probably won't be getting the rest any time soon due to real world time constraints. Also, in case you were wondering, Jagex has said a ring of wealth doesn't affect your chances, so personally I'd wear a berserker ring for the extra 4 strength bonus. The drop rate is, on average, about 5000. I've gotten about 4 shield left halves, which are twice as rare as a champion scroll, so I'm not too worried. Just keep at it and you'll get them eventually! Also, this is the 99th post on this guide... congratulations to the next poster on the 100th post of my guide. :)

Jard Y Dooku's NEW Ultimate Monster Examine Guide v3.0
Sunday, August 17, 2008 - Added 1 new scan! Added Evil Chicken (level-38) Phew! Collection complete on one aspect, I now have ALL the random event monster scans. Next task is the quest monsters, and after that, the final 11: the dreaded Champions' Challenge bosses. Wish me luck, everyone!

[DONE] Random events
MANY months of patience... Also, I'd like to point out that the level 170 Evil chicken does NOT exist. This can be proven through cache investigation, which is obviously the highest proof possible. There's only 13 evil chickens in the cache: ID numbers 2463 to 2468 are the normal random events, 3366 to 3371 are the normal random events with fishbowl helmets (you'll encounter these versions if you're underwater) and ID 3375 (the RFD one) is LEVEL 159. And if you still don't believe me, here's a screenshot from RuneHQ's Recipe for Disaster quest guide: Please correct this map (http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=evil_chicken_lair.htm) so it shows level 159 instead. Also, the RFD quest guide should just say "level 159" not "up to level 159" in the monsters field: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=134 And remove "The evil chicken's level will vary just as the Random Event does." from the notes. EDIT: I just scanned the level 38 chicken! 40 hitpoints. Well, the tables are complete now, enjoy the info!

[DONE] Random events
As you know, the level of a random event depends on player level: This table applies for the following random events: Mr Hyde, River troll, Rock Golem, Shade, Tree spirit, and Zombie. Your Combat Level Random Event's Level Random Event's HP Random Event's Max Hit 3 - 10 14 25 2 11 - 20 29 40 3 21 - 40 49 60 5 41 - 60 79 85 7 61 - 90 120 120 11 91 - 138 159 170 14 The table for the Evil Chicken random event is slightly different: Your Combat Level Random Event's Level Random Event's HP Random Event's Max Hit 3 - 10 19 19 1 11 - 20 38 40 1 21 - 40 69 60 2 41 - 60 81 80 3 61 - 90 121 105 4 91 - 138 159 120 5 Could you guys please add this info to the random event guide, and also the respective Bestiary entries? Thanks!

RuneScape Maximum Guide - ~Updated 5th March~
Then that would be 129/99, and I don't really trust the max hit calculator, but 30 sounds ABOUT right... perhaps "around 130" would be most appropriate? Also, the max number of music tracks is now 554. Max emotes is 42 if you want to put that also.
-
Do you believe in such thing...
I'm a programmer. Yes, Jagex could easily do something like this - decreasing drop rates depending on the amount of time you've been in an area of the number of certain monsters you've killed, but I doubt they do as it would be kind of silly. Obtaining a rare drop would become increasingly rare the more monsters you've killed, whereas it should, at least theoretically, become decreasingly rare (although this is technically an illusion) as you kill more monsters.

Pious Pete = Discontinued random event
I've never had it either... but doesn't it only occur when you're near the beehives or something like that? I don't know, I'm pretty sure it's been removed too, though.

Dream mentor
cowassassin is correct. Pokemama, read more carefully - he is talking specifically about Jack, not the other two bankers.

You Know That You Are A Runescape Geek When:
You know you're a RuneScape geek when you've cast the Monster Examine spell on nearly 1200 different monsters, just to find out their HP.
