You say "yo" to your mom? Now THAT'S weird! #-o But seriously, I don't know why everyone is saying it's normal. It's pretty dam awkward. What kind of brother do you have that he dates at 14 years old? Trying to be cool perhaps, or just a little crush? I suppose nothing you can do to stop him...but perhaps she can talk to her sister. It'll be easier with girls I assume. If you got married, it would be like your sister in law is dating your brother. Too Jerry Springer-ish for me :shame:

Definintely long hair, to the shoulderblade as Trapical suggested :P To the shoulders also looks nice on a few girls, but even so, I find if they grow their hair, they look even nicer. But of course, again like Trapical said, too long is a no-no.

I'm not sure whether I like shopping, or simply what I get as a result of shopping. I dont like walking around a mall forever, window shopping, as you will. Hanging out with friends in a mall is different, but just browsing is soo boring. I usually go, grab what I planned to get, and that's that. Usually on electronics I research it a lot online before I make a purchase. For shoes, there are surprisingly sites that offer reviews as well! The stereotype girls love shopping, and guys don't, is bs. Who doesn't like going out getting new things? I love shopping in clothes stores, shoe stores, etc. Stores like Champs or Athletesworld. On the other end, I also loveee shopping for tech toys, in Best Buy or Tiger Direct. Tech stores are the type that I can browse around forever. Malls on the other hand, like I mentioned...no. Aah, if only I had money. I can't wait till University is done, and the money starts rollin in large quantities 8-)

RAM is something physical...you can't download more ram, if thats what you're thinking  And no, noone is going to recommend stealing ram from a store either. Purchase more ram, if that's what you want! You'll have to open up your computer case to install it. I'd recommend to tell ask your parents about buying a new computer if you need it, or bringing it to a shop to have ram purchased and installed appropriately.

Obviously not. Nothing will ever qualify you to speak on behalf of 26 million people, even if you've briefly met every single one of them  What he's saying is based on his brother-in-law's experience. As for the whole thing about propaganda, why would they not use it? The whole purpose is to boost the morale of the soldiers, regardless of the circumstances. It just seems like Ard is arguing aginst you because in one of your previous posts, it sounded like you were attempting to prove his point wrong, by referring to movies like Full Metal Jacket.

Ok, you're wireless adapter seems to be acting up. When did these problems start? Has it always been like this, ever since you went wireless? How are things working on the host computer (the one where the router is)? If it's doing the same thing, try connecting an ethernet cable from your router to the host computer, and then see if that works. If it does, there's a wireless adapter problem/problem with your router's antenna. Make sure your antenna is screwed in securely! That used to happen to me, when I first got my router. I would get a signal, which would drop every 5 minutes. Have you done the usual? Such as, unplugging your modem for 45 seconds, and replugging? Restarted your router via the small restart button (using a small pin)? Unplugged the router for 45 seconds, and replugged? Go through those one by one and post as you feel necessary.

Hmm, since you've been having virus problems, that could very well be it. What you want to do is startup in safemode. Press and hold F8 right before the Windows bootscreen comes on. Go to "Start Windows in Safemode". When the popup asks you if you want to continue working in safemode, click yes. Open up your antivirus program, and try again. Hopefully you'll be able to get through a scan, and remove any malicious programs. I'd also recommend getting a copy of NOD32, which is an excellent antivirus and protection client. In addition to that, you'd also like to get your hands on a copy of Spybot Search & Destroy, which will help keep out, and remove cases of spyware. On the other side, seeing as you stated that a few Windows files were deleted, perhaps others got removed in the process that you were unaware of. What's happening, from your description, sounds like Windows Explorer is just freezing, that's all. If the computer freezes in safemode, or if you don't detect anything after a full, indepth scan, try popping in the Windows CD and going through the automated repair feature, which will only take about 30 minutes of your time. Goodluck, let us know how it goes.

Aah! You caught us! Me and JT are just cool like that. :3> Who needs Mad anyway!

There's an old picture, but that's usually the length I like to keep my hair at. Although right now I have a 2" beard! Compliments the hair quite nicely  Too bad I'll never have a chance with mad

I don't know what planet you're living on, but 9/11 was a tragedy. When people talk about 9/11, why would they say "Omg the attacks on the WTC, I feel so sorry for the Iraqi people."?! That's pretty stupid... What about the thousands who are dying in Iraq, and all over the world for that matter? Those are different events. 9/11 was an attack in America you know...not Iraq  I understand that wars have happened as a result of 9/11, and thousands have died as a result. That's a tragedy of course...but I really don't understand wth your topic is trying to say... As for the Tsunami that happened on Boxing Day of 2004, that was a natural disaster which didn't directly hit any superpower nation. If 300 000 Americans had died, obviously it would have been bigger news. However, that's not to say it wasn't. What about Hurricane Katrina? People don't really talk about that anymore either. It was a natural disaster, that's why. If 300 000 died as a result of a nuclear weapon or some sort of war, obviously it would be bigger news. I don't think I have to explain why...

Did you miss a few zeroes there?!

Yeah, the A on the first ledger line. A lot of people I know can play above a C...thank god they don't go to my school so I can remain the first trumpet  I'm thinking about going back to trumpet lessons to develop my range and things...we'll see if my parents are willing to fork up some $ for that one!
-
  No further explanation necessary. :-w :-#
-
I feel so stupid for not posting earlier! I have been playing the trumpet, sort of on and off, for 6 years now. For the length of time I've been playing though, I'm probably horrible! I can only go up to 3rd A :(. I know, my range stinks! I've also played the piano, flute, and guitar, but when I was younger. I forget most of it now, unfortunately.
-
Heh, think of how I feel! I thought 1000 was more than enough to suit me, and I consider myself a huge music lover! You guys like wayyy too many songs! Aah! :-w
-
When I cut my hair, which is every week or two, it'll get down to 1/8th of an inch, or 3mm. Right now I've been letting it grow, since I'm at home all day anyhow. It's probably around 1/2 an inch, or 1.27cm :x
-
Approximately 1000 songs, but honestly, who needs that many? I'm sure there are some tip it users here that have well over 1000, but I don't see much of the point. I regularly listen to a couple hundred or so...the other songs are just there for the sake of being there....simply songs that I've liked at one point or another. Of course I don't mind hearing it now and then, but it's nothing special.

I think it's obvious that the 7900 is a much more powerful card, with better benchmarks than all of the other cards that you've listed. If anything, the new Radeon X1900 is the main card I'd consider over the 7900, but then it also comes down to an ATI vs Nvidia, and simply your preference. That can be a deciding factor sometimes. I did a lot of research on it before I bought my card a week ago, and I went with the 6800XT. I figured I didn't need the power of a 7900...there's always something bigger and better out there, you'll never win in that war, unless you're filthy rich. In addition, the 6800XT is obviously top in it's class, and priced amazingly. For under $150 CAD I got an XFX version, which I'm extremely happy with. Unless you're an incredibly serious gamer, the 6800XT is a great value at the price. But of course, if money is just taking up space in your pockets, the 7900 or ATI's X1900 is the better buy. Edit: As for the 939 Processors which someone was mentioning, AMD isn't phasing them out...they're a totally different option than the AM2's. I looked at the AM2's for a brief second when looking to upgrade my computer, but I went against it. Their boards only support DDR2 Ram...so for an upgrade it's pointless. If someone is buying a new system w/ DDR2, then they have no choice but to go with AM2 for an AMD processor. So it's kind of an extremely obvious choice when it comes to AM2 vs 939. The AM2 is essentially the same in all other areas, it simply has support for DDR2.

As big as the "Microsoft Haters" bandwagon is these days, it was hard to tell. Plus, sarcasm over the internet sometime's doesn't work as intended. My apologies though! Anyhow, Shadofax...Waterloo is only like...1.5 hours away from us by car! It's not that bad...have you at least given McMaster a thought? :P Also, if you get into U of T, definintely go there! York is considered a second rate University. We have awesome choices here...McGill in Montreal, Queens, McMaster, Waterloo, U of T, Western...don't settle for York! :notalk:

I don't understand why anyone would call you a conspiracist after that statement. Sure, it's very possible that large attacks could happen in the US between now and the next elections. It's also possible large attacks could happen between now and tomorrow. Large attacks are always possible, imo. You said "Definitely not mutually assured destruction", which is what I'm trying to argue. I suppose we're on the same side here then...your post seemed to suggest you were opposing my comments. :? As for calling the "interesting discussion" stupid, it was about missiles on camels...come on. If that's not stupid, I don't know what is.
-
Yeah, it is something to be proud of. You're sooooo cool for hating Microsoft, really
-
Yeah, I posted a bit about MAD on the 2nd page, which I thought would spawn an interesting discussion. All I got from it was one stupid comment about camels. I love how everyone always reads my posts around here now...
-
Yeah...in the US they call 'em "Colleges" :? Are you graduating this year? because I am! This is my senior year...and i'll be applying to the University of Waterloo for Computer Engineering, as well as, probably U of T. You're definintely right about UW being really good for engineering. It's one of the top schools in the world for it, has the largest Mathematics department in the world, and Microsoft hires more employees from Waterloo than any other University in the world =D> 8-)
-
* kind of credit system is that? Or is the credit system I'm farmiliar with only happen in the US? Lol same here, we need 30 credits to graduate, and we earn one credit per course. Anesthesia's system is
