Artemis had a calm, relaxed sense to his eccentric style. Even though he didnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t belong in the heart of London, he had been given an important pile of documents from the underground embassy of Russia to deliver before his cover was blown. His tall, scrawny body lurked through the crowds rushing in and out the shops, with narrow and unlit alleyways in between every other shop. He stopped at the sight of a convenient alleyway on his right, his olive green eyes staring at what he thought was a manhole. He sprinted over, looking down so no-one could see his facial features. As he reached the opening to the sewers, his left, and dominant, hand delved into his trouser pocket. He produced a torch fixed to a head strap, so he could keep his hands free in case he needed to make immediate stealth actions he learned from the SAS. As he climbed down the rusting rungs, he realised the odour of the sewers. He knew the head-quarters were south of his current position, so he gathered his bearings from his compass, illuminated by his torch attached to his forehead. He turned and focused on pacing through the sewers, the infected water beneath him lapping against his skeletal ankles. As he arrived at every other manhole, Artemis lifted the covers off and his oval shaped head scoured the view for any signs of the head-quarters. He continued through the sewers, the odour now becoming worse. While he was walking, he heard footsteps behind him, and they were getting louder. Artemis halted, and turned round. His glaring eyes scanned the sewer for any signs of disturbance. All he could see was the glare from the light of his torch reflecting into the water. He turned back and carried on walking. Artemis heard a pistol being fired from behind him, and realised one of the lead bullets had gashed his right arm. Blood was seeping from the wound, like crimson tears from a motherÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s broken heart. He turned round and shouted at the top of his broken voice, ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅWhat do you want from me? Why are you here? If you want to take my life, here I am.ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
