runescape is a game of clicking. the guy with more skills is usually the guy who played for more hours and did more clicking . All games on consist a lot of numerous clicking. The way you described RuneScape there can be described exactly the same for WoW. If WoW used Majestic Brain Wave Pads to control your game, then I would understand.

These threads and topics will get on my nerves. When will people understand the effect that RuneScape is a great game enjoyed by millions (hence the 130m accounts made for goodness sake!). Its also incredible for a Java-based and brownser game (no real downloads unlike WoW that could take hours and hours to download). Compare Wow to a game like Guild Wars or at least Conquer Online. Not RuneScape! Maybe WoW may not be as good as you think if you compare it to a game on the same level! Unlike those that try to compare or rant to RuneScape, making WoW sound much better (which is not in my own opinion). But if you compare it something like Guild Wars, its not soo easy to cool WoW the best..isn't it? If you love WoW soo much, go play it. Leave those who enjoy RuneScape to play RuneScape, instead of trying to hook them on a game that has the most addicted and obesed players of all games (my opinion :? ) Most Wow'ers just don't leave RuneScapers alone. Let Blizzard do the Mr. T adverts with their free trials advertisments. RuneScape has done a brilliant job gaining players with just the 'word of mouth' system. Once you go WoW, leave RuneScape alone! (Which Wow'ers don't follow.. #-o ) Not trying to sound agrumentive, but its I hate these topics! And I am talking on the behalf of other forums/YouTube comments. Of course, if you are just a normal player of WoW theres no problem of you playing it. But I found the players that keep bragging on about it and pesting those who like RuneScape get on top list in my Death-List (joke..), if you like the game, play it!

Rares will deffinatly be the most effected in my opinion, since it will have the one-item lending/borrowing policy. It'll be good for us (those who would like to buy rare(s) in the furture), but bad for those who will lose money, or speiciality ( :lol: ).

Interesting read, I came in the 2005 period. Theres no chance people are going to quit just because it is effecting the economy. What did effect the economy was the Grand Exchange, thats why prices are getting ridicliously high or low and also the fact that more and more people are 'buying' their Skills (this is where suppliers come into the equation). Although, I notice that the player count were dropping everyday (no more than 150k at a time I would say at peak times), especially the 10.12.07 updates. But now with the new graphics, the player count has boosted up to (190k at peak times and possibly a few times over the 200k mark). What this shows that new players and quitters are returning to RuneScape, and plenty of them are probably low/mid levels.

Its optional, so I won't hurt keeping it in F2P. Infact, some people still use it in F2P (they may find it useful).

I am amazed to see a Big Brother thread on this forum! I am a absolute fan of it, but I would'nt even think to make a thread of it because I would knew a lot of people would flame on it (especially on this kind of forum). Rebecca is going to raise her spirit now Jen was gone, and she seem't every excited with the new housemates last night. In my opinion, Maysoon isn't that pretty, but Sara is very! Hope this makes it interesting, and I went to how Mario and Dale react over the new girls. I love Kat and Rachel! Kat to win! Get Luke out!

Hancock - I love Will Smith, I think he is a really good actor and has achieved soo much in life. The movie was amazing in my opinion, and thats coming from someone who isn't a far of superhero movies. (or superheros in genereal). The ending was very impactful and I would love to see it again! Teeth - This film is very weird, but something different and original! This film could teach men a few lessons and if it was shown in classrooms, the human race will end sooner than expected!

That is what I was thinking. But, the skills are very different. Attack, Strength (ect) are combat skills and most people would rather raise there combat than fiddle with skills such as Fletching and Cooking. Most people don't care about getting a 99 in a combat skill (maybe exclude Ranged, Magic and Prayer), because raising these are actually very benefical to the player (e.g hitting higher and more constant). Whereas skills like Fletching and Cooking are skills that people do actually want to get a 99 within the skill to show their achievement (seeing that Fletching and Cooking aren't much benefical at 99 unlike combat skills). So I do think that they will not drop in respect or rating or whatever you'd like to call it, because players would like a good combat stats to help them achieve more in-game (e.g Slayer, Monster Hunting ect).

The only thing I can understand where your coming from is that you have would have to constantly use the Quick-chat before you turn 13 (seeing that you are already going back to WoW and that you must be under 13 (or you could of created the account with a false DoB), I don't like the Quick-chat system myself. But its kind of pointless posting on a Pro-RuneScape Fansite were people play RuneScape over games such as Wow, and then telling us you returning to WoW. Majority of this forum play RuneScape as there first MMORPG (like a first language, but a game instead). So all I could say to you is do not waste your time.

Not surprised that Strength is still in the lead. Also not suprised with the increase of players that have maxed Runecraft seeing that I've been to 14 99 Runecraft parties in the last 2 months. Hopefully I'll be one of those people before July 15th (my dead-line).

If you look carefully it clearly says 'Woman/Man Chathead', which I must say are fantastic! It doesn't say anything about the character's heads being what they are shown in the actual game . Jagex isn't lieing, because the chatheads are like the way they are shown now, and the way they were shown before.

This morning I had a problem getting the new High Detail to work. It said that I didn't have a high enough graphics card. Then I started to change different settings on my computer and I noticed that when I changed a few things, it worked! I am going to tell you how I did it, but please do not get upset if it still does no work. First, go to Start > Run Type: Dxdiag The DirectX Diagnostic Tool should now appear. Now Click on the Display tab. Look at the DirectX Features section near the bottem, to the left. It should say: DirectDraw Accelaration: Enabled Direct3D Accelaration: Enabled (Don't worry about the AGP Texture Accelartion). If it is already enabled, and the high detail didn't work, then I am sorry to say that if you have to try something else. Make sure you have the other requirements, try to upgrade your graphics card/chip and drivers (links below) or you could try buy some new devices for your laptop/computer (a new graphic card...etc). However, if it is disabled, continue... Go to Desktop and right click Properties Go to the Settings tab Click on the Advanced then Troubleshoot If your hardware accelaration is at the lowest, drag it all the way to the right. Click Apply then Ok. Go back to DirectX Features again, and make sure that are now enabled. Try to start the high detail again, and it should work. If it is is very laggy, then you might want to try and change your graphic settings in the game (click on the computer icon on the options tab) and also try to upgrade your graphics card/chip and drivers. Find out what your graphics card is (Desktop>Properties>Settings>Advanced>Adapter Tab). Click Properties again and hit the Driver tab. It should give you info on the graphics card. Once you've found that out try : http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx - for Nvidia cards http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html - for ATI cards http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ - for Intel chipsets And download the latest driver for your graphics card. (Thanks to ToxicDuck for the links) Also try closing any other windows you have, and make sure you stay within the RS window. You will still need the other requirements to play.
