Your telling me one person can buy 1,500 guthans warspears? Thats 2.7B, and if you have that much, you dont need to be merching (not to mention its not possible to have that much money.

Its a game. If it ever becomes too much to deal with because of real life events, then thats my fault. I play, semi-excessive amounts of time each day, mainly because I have nothing to do. But I let real life take priority over a game. Iv actually lost 15 pounds and a few girlfriends recently, but thats not because of me playing runescape. If you ever have to question if runescape is taking over your life, the problem resides in you.

Its just a glitch in the GE that the item is stuck at an odd price, since no one wants it, and everyone has it. Supply and Demand says the price will go down, but its not based off of people thinking its too high, its based off sales. No sales, no price drops.

The database is hidden probably on a backend, and you would need an IP address, an open port, AND a login to get into. My guess is that this database has some 25 character usename AND password, to be sure that no script kiddies get into it. This is most likely all sitting behind many layers of industrial firewall. This kid just fed you a load of crap and you ate it all up. Its people like you that they would implement a censor on passwords for these...

While only reading the first page (complain all you want, I had a bad day) I think hes trying to say that people go "zomg ur noob str is t3h cooli3st" and how everyone has the EXACT SAME OUTFIT ALL the time. (Fire cape, rune legs, torso, fury, whip, climbing boots/dragon boots, rune defender, helm of neit) I think it gets old too.

Also consider the fact that the company would have to honor the agreements. There would have to be some sort of ratio that the cost is per months of members. It may cost two years worth, but be unlimited. This means that when you signed up, you would be owed at least two years of membership. This is bad if runescape is planned to close say, in a year, and you go ahead and buy two years. Now Jagex is suddenly tied to giving you another year. Too many stipulations to make it worth it. Plus the fact that you might want to start over, or you get banned. Overall, not such a good idea. I like being able to toggle my membership on and off.

It would be hard to tell abuse from PKing. People just talk outside of the game, and 'randomly' run into each other, pick a 'fight' and continue to duel until they get their drop.

While private servers are illegal and hated here, I really doubt anyones going to care about a classic one. Then again, we got a lot of cranky old people here.
