Not only does it take a lot more time, the game has only like 10% of the content and the graphics suck. Why would people want to play a game with a fragment of the content and bad graphics? Especially people that don't know the feel of RSC from the old days. I'd check it out, just to get that feeling again (not to play). But people who haven't played RSC won't have that feeling and won't like a single bit of it. And don't give me that crap that training on RS2 doesn't cost time. Else tell me why you haven't gotten all 99's yet. I prefer rsc graphics to rs2's slow moving graphics. You're one of the few then. Why not? I prefer the RSC graphics also, they are what they are and like many games from my past due to the poor graphics the game relied on game-play (fast becoming a thing of the past) RS2's graphics are quite insulting when you think about it because they're ''trying'' and they're still poor, at least with RSC it was easily seen graphics were not a priority at all. 2. I started pking after alot of ''old schoolers'' (this is a relative term because people years after me would call me that, but i call it people before me) but even though i started after them i learnt quick, who cares if i didn't kill people in the cabbage patch? I killed plenty in the wildy - People bragging about playing first are quite thick in my opinion - because you all had more time to practice than me and i ended up better? Go figure? All i remember is i started a few months before the party hat Xmas drop on ad2002e, got hacked through stupidity (set my recov questions as the answers haha - didn't realise other people could see them!!) stopped playing a while and then my mate was saying how good it was so i tried again. For arguements sake Stud i always remember you being round in my pking time, i remember Dsm when he was pure (same with Meet) and Thug was always about aswell - I knew none of you when i played ad2002e though, which was probably because i never went to the wilderness (how misguided i was) when he got ''hacked'' i started Adx and was introduced to the wilderness and never looked back. You need to realise that everyone pked at a different time (in their time zone) and preferred different servers so it was quite easy to miss people - If you listen to half of the American pkers i'm a loser because i didn't pk at like 5 am on a server i couldn't move on? Go figure lol :) I pked where the people where at any point of the day i was pking. Bottom line, as i said earlier - If RS was how it was we'd all still be playing at one point or another, no exceptions.

You know Meet, you kinda have a point there. I think DSM was a pretty good pker but he had the same sort of benefit that i did, if i was losing a fight i had great strength-in-depth, i know 90% of the time i could call a friend (and they'd always be in the wildy, hence nearby) and not only could they come and 'save' me but they were talented pkers so they'd finish the kill. I know most peoples response is i'm a loser etc, common sense is what i call it, do i want to die? No, can i get a friend to finish the kill? Yes - Not only that but it was free rune for a friend (most of the time the person wud be very low so it's essentially free rune) Now on the flip side, although my reputation would nearly always preceed me, Sue and I pked at castle without letting anyone know who our pures were at the time - Shr3k & Ja Rule, we managed to make friends with the right people just through being good pkers, then afterwards they found out who we were - So even though you say that he wouldn't be anything without the friends he had, it's not really the case, you tend to be able to make friends of similar mentality and for DSM and Me that would be another pker and in my case specifically nobody that had logged from me, that just irked me.

But instead he assumed i was full and ran immediately ''he who dares, wins'' - Del Boy! ya but he thot u were trying to get him lol, i wonder what he meant by "like this". Think i was server hopping in BK Maze ''like this'' clearly meant by accident :lol: or maybe he was referring to me saying he was a poor leader trying to antagonize him into a fight? Suppose it's all subjective.. I never got that opportunity with Exer, by the time Supa had stopped running to fight me, the rest of the clan were too low to join in (border fighting when he had 30 friends, go figure?) This picture always makes me laugh, this was Supa running away after he saw me log in, without even trying to fight..

Would that be re-introducing RSC? :roll: I'm against the idea, if you can set your own stats where's the incentive? You can re-smith anything you lose from pking.. Yeah the ''chase'' will be there but as i've always said, players retreating with food was in tehir head not in their stats, all we'd have then is people running with food with 99 defence instead of 60 defence.. It'll be a waste of time, i'm a die-hard RSC fan and i will not try it if that's how it's released.

Haha of course, I remember the week after staking came out I saw a guy in rune at like lvl 40 using sara spells. Owned me for a few DBaxes before I gave up... :roll: God spells didn't come out until long after staking, if i remember rightly - Staking was released when members was released?

You know what they really should do... Monthly re-set, that way it could just be a giggle, everyones stats are wiped on teh first of the month as well as their banks.. (reset to starter items) and they set wildy all over RS - Could just be small wars everywhere in iron/steel - Yeah the autoers would be present but [bleep] em what are they gonna get? Some irom or maybe if we can be bothered... Mith? It'd all be fruitless by the end of the month anyway I don't like the idea of being able to choose ur own stats, it'd be difficult to find a level to pk at.. High level you're all 99's mid lvl is gonna be pures (no mage no pray 99 60 99 or sumat) and low level 40 1 99 prayer beasts.. All in my mind a waste of time, bigger team will win and pking becomes a lottery more than anything. I would welcome a monthly reset, i reckon i'd only ever get to fishing for tuna and there'd be little point in mining and smithing.. Any longer than a month and you really allow the autoers to impose themselves unfortunately. If anyone plays/played diablo 2 it's a similar idea to what they do, they have ladder characters (sorta highscores) and a ladder reset periodically... If not for anything more than re-setting Knightlite i think it's worthwhile! :) Edit: Oh.. One more thing, i doubt anyone would bother with prayer beasts - can't get a 2h unless anyone chances a black demon (do they drop lol?) and if they manage the stats etc to do that in a month then good luck to them! let's face it, a rune long is the best most of us would manage and they'd be knacker all good against someone with an addy square (doubt we'd get kite again unless by fortune from drop?) it'd bring back the nostalgia without having to spend too much time bothering - I reckon everyone would settle on a general level of 30 ish for pking and it'd be a laugh.

They can't re-open it without adressing the problems of all the autoers who i believe still play, if they were to ban them then there'd be no-one playing. There's a big difference between wanting to re-open RSC and actually doing it, it never should have been closed to begin with, i think it was very shrewd by Jagex, people were almost forced into RS2 without having the option of returning, even i put my items on RS2 and decided to re-earn them on Rsc, though i did that purely for financial reasons and never actually used the items or in fact bothered to play rs2. Unfortunately i think RSC has had it's day, but look on the bright side, if you were there... What a 'day' it was :)

Him and Wildflowers were always a fun combination lol, Sue and Wild were friends so Sue would always fight Tyler n i'd get stuck with Wild who took super weakens and waves lol, so she'd never die and would always end up logging, after a while me n Sue figured that if he fought Tyler and we both waved Tyler he'd die soon enough, and so we did :lol: Didn't even waste my time with Wild after that lol :) Ah.... Good times.... :(

Indeed, however i still say that the blame lies at the feet of Jagex, they could have changed it had they put a Dragon 2h in shops (in the same fashion as Baxe and Long) for i don't know 1-2 mil pkers would have then been able to sell for 900-1800k not to mention the fact they would have been taking GP out of the game in huge amounts whilst at the same time keeping pking exciting and worthwhile (towards the end i think i was spending more on pking than receiving back, at least p2p anyway, though i will say a large part of that was the mage wall) it always seemed to me to be a pretty easy solution, ignorance or arrogance.. I don't know what prevented them doing it I remember speaking with Paul after they released god spells and Bloods tripled in value, i suggested that they make a new type of rune ''god rune'' or whatever they wanted to call it lol :) and sell them in shops (slow spawn of course) - Takes money out of the game and keeps bloods well priced for wave spells.. This was blatantly ignored, though he couldn't give any particular reason as to why - Think i've still got chat logs somewhere lol, odd that i could speak with him as a mute lol :P What a fool he musta looked like responding to no-one :lol:

Ah i can still remember the first R2h i got, when they were still worth 1mil+ i was pking on my pretty awful addy pure Shr3k - who came good in the end lol think about lvl 35 maybe It was a long time before i knew how the pking system worked and i was fed up getting hit every round so got 30 defence and pked with a rune long and addy square (haha all i could afford at the time) anyway i got sucked into a trap because i was still rather naive and chased someone all the way over to Varrock (frmo dark wizzes above gob ville) went up from varrock to about level 11 and low and behold his two frieds where there, the guy i was fighting was pretty strong and the archer was very good probably had about 10 hp but all ranged lol, thought i was gonna die for sure but never did like to give up, i ran from the fight and the chap fighting me accidentally clicked on a rat, he one hit the rat and i attacked him and two hit him, like i said i wasn't much of the pker back then so i just started leftying the pile instead of picking the good stuff so naturally i got some bones, rat meat monks robe a refill on food and the like.... By this time i'd been attacked by the other guy who was also pretty strong think he was a steel pure but think he only had a rune long and i was still grabbing food from pile... This went on for a while and i couldn't get the shiny blue thing i could see on the floor but not when i right clicked.. The minute went and the stuff appeared, then the ranger ran over and grabbed the shiny blue thing just as my 3 rounds were up, i left combat healed and attacked ranger and three hit him (he really was a range pure lol, 3 hitting from full as an addy pure with rune long? :)) and this time i did get the 2h, i couldn't believe my eyes, my heart was pounding and i was almost shaking, the guy attacking me just gave up and ran away, don't know why i guess he only had a rune long to lose at most but he ran off... I was scared cause i knew i had to come down through varrock or even worse go around which left me at a higher level.. I was panicking the entire time and eventually got down to edge.. This explains how naive i was to the game that i actually logged out to make sure it was ''saved'' i was still shaking even though i was safe... Then i decided to go and try using the 2h on my next run out with Shr3k (who's a fool lol?) i ran to about edge level 2, realised i hadn't healed from the last fight? OMG!? got red barred and somehow amazingly survived (thankyou 30 def haha).. Soon after the 2h got passed over to adx to never be risked on Shr3k again haha The sad part is after i'd pked 10+ 2h's they'd sorta decreased in price as it was adx i was pking on then and it was enevr the same sort of feeling, i only got that feeling again when i pked a drag med a couple of times and when i killed a major enemy, it would have been nice had there been some sort of economy control from Jagex to keep that special feeling going for everyone, the strange difference was that when 2h's were worth millions people used them.. Jagex should have introduced the dragon 2h as opposed to med and shield because people would have used the drag 2h to gain the advantage in a fight where the med and square were next to useless.. If drag 2h's had been 5+ million i'da used it to pk with.. I only really used my drag med/sqr when people weren't fighting me and i was trying to entice them but would normally remain in full rune.. like i said i think had it been the weapon plenty of people would have used.

I think the only way you'd be able to run a private server properly is to give the people the stats they had in rsc and go from there, yeah i realise that sounds daft and unfair but no-one is going to waste time training all over again and if they change the experience then everyone is going to be max level which just ruins the wilderness - i like the idea of runes being readily available but again this ruins the authenticity What it really needs is a strong individual to run it, someone that won't ban you for being an enemy but will stop you ever playing again if you cheat (something Jagex failed at) i can't remember which one it was i played but members had increased experience (business-wise it was genius lol) but even that was a little too quick for my liking, Jagex had theirs spot on because by the time you leveled to 100+ you had a bank which matched your level (or should of had) I just don't think there's ever going to be a priv server that will effectively re-create Rsc, unfortunately it seems that the people with the ability to make them are the people that strived to be noticed on Rsc and weren't which is a bad formula because they'll then interfere too much - And as someone said earlier they got banned for taking the piss out of them? By all means it's their right to do this.. but cmon?

I've gotta say this is the best quote i've seen from you.. This is precisely why i never rated you as that much of a pker.. What you call insignificant i call necessary. Freeplay pking: Say you have full set armor, 2 pots and 3 spaces for runes, this leaves 20 food which equates to 240Hp in lobbies or 280Hp in Swords.. Which is essentially carrying 23.333333 Lobbies.. You could do less damage to your opponent than he does to you and still win the fight? Pretty important if you ask me.. Then we move onto Bloods/Deaths/Chaos and i must say if i didn't have bloods/deaths i would always use chaos instead of weakens just because i knew how much better they were really.. Hell it's the only reason i was 90+ thieving but if you use chaos in p2p against someone using bloods you're probably gunna lose unless you hit really well with your axe/sword, not only did fire waves hit harder they hit more often aswell (don't know if this is fact or if anyones been able to prove it but it looked to me from experience this was the case) I wholeheartedly agree with you that there was very little diversity in runescape and that RS2 did indeed introduce a new dimension in terms of the big heavy weapons hitting harder but slower etc.. I mean maces and scims were pretty much redundant on rsc, they needed beefing up (tho i do have a legit kill pic using a rune mace lol, i'll try find) I think that there was more to pking that you like to admit though, even as Fook mentioned earlier yes cathing was a major part and if you ask me i'd say probably the most important but if you didn't have catch did you give up? I never did.. there were ways around it (providing you were fighting the right person) if someone was determined to run no matter what and you didn't have catch they tended to get away unless you had a team, and as fook says if you have a team you can eradicate the need to catch but they've gotta know what they're doing: I tended to pk with the same people and we got a good understanding between us.. Zorro, Sue, Arkan to name a few, within the first few seconds of a fight we'd see who had catch and they took over the main fighting, the scarest pker there (highest lvl) would always stand where you didn't want them to run to, try to deter them into running zorros way (sorry zorro lol) normally east and i would stand NW cause there was a glitch that made catching alot harder (i personally had to chase them paralell to make the catch and couldn't do it straight unless 1 sqring which wasn't the most reliable way) either way, if you had a team of pkers who knew what they were doing you could heard the prey into the right direction.. An example being in p2p area away from mage wall (tho most people would head their without caring who was covering that direction) a personal peeve of mine was the massive hills in p2p between pirates and wall tho i'd always attempt to stay clear of them. Assume you're pking alone and you don't know what you're doing, you're fighting against me (lvl121?) and i've trashed you in a round, u run to heal but do still want to fight so you stand still, i stand on top of you and start maging, this is when alot of people panic, they've healed already what do they do? heal again or try to move and heal, by which time i've normally got two shots off at you and clicked attack (bloods u cud be 20 hp down, assuming u healed fully) if i open the fight with a 30 and a mage of any number ur in [cabbage] even if you're 90+ hp - This is another thing alot of people didn't get onto and believe me i got alot of kills by doing this. My other favourite though i know no-one likes to believe that i actually pked alone was to go and attack a team, attacking a team was always fun because they may well be lower than me but they were confident or dare i say overconfident - I'd fight and let myself get fairly low to keep them interested (died a few times doing it of course.. Nothing like max tho lol) but if you had one of those rounds were u were both low, i'd run diag, alot of the time they'd assume im low and trying to get away i'd be healing because i used map to do my diag for some distance, they struggle to follow to make catch and neglect to heal properly or at all - I shoot mage and attack, i got many a 2 hit this way and was usually able to get all armor and escape (and on the odd occasion kill the pjer, in fact i remember one time killing 4 people on 1 spot, i had to call Sue away from training to help me get armor but that was mainly 3 hits on that occasion) In the end there wasn't great diversity to RS pking, but there were veteren pkers and there were people who just thought they knew everything and i think this separated them from the ones that actually did put the time in to learn new ways and tactics for killing people, i usually always had a trick up my sleeve to get someone even if it meant taking my armor off and hoping to 3 hit someone, to have the chance of a kill was worth it in my eyes! Oh and to something Fook mentioned earlier about hittins 0's i did my own little study also, i opened two screens with Adx (all 99's) against my newly made PB - (all 1's) i dueled them (a fair amount of times) and eventually had Adx hit a 0 on the newb and the newb hit a 1 on Adx - Now if you ask me that just should not have happened at any point ever, 99 attack shud never fail on 1 defence and likewise 1 attack on 99 defence - In fact if you ask me i dont think 99 attack should fail on anything less than 60 defence and there should have been a minimum hit due to your str if you did actually hit. But saying all this, i loved Rs how it was and although frustrating at times there was nothing quite as gratifying as 3 hitting someone that you didn't like, it was the ultimate insult in my eyes (well aside from 3 hitting someone a lvl 116 trying to punk you when you're training prayer with monk robes and bunny ears on... haha!) Oh and meet - There are two unique aspects to Rsc - Catching & 3 Round system

I never autoed. My character is still alive, although still muted. And Adx and sue me were my b1tches. You always did have a unique imagination.. Your memory seems somewhat distorted though :lol: After all these years i finally bought my own computer so don't have the pictures to hand, i may make a special trip downstairs to upload them from the other comp though lol. I must admit the fights between Me, You, Sue & Pokey must have looked weird, silence in the fight.. 3 outa 4 were muted, we were fighting in game and insulting one another on Msn at the same time lol... Good times!! =D> I do remember you killing me once in your lifetime, no more buddy. But it was all fun. I almost had you many times, and so did you, but we'd always try so many ways to escape (diagonal then diagonal another way lol). I did kill your buddy Sue Me too many times to count, he was at lvl 115 for like years so I liked the fact he was lefty. Good times though... would've been better if I wasn't muted. I got you at that war lol, you logged about 5 or 6 times to get catch on me, finally got catch on me and got 3 hit :) Think i got you for a large a couple of times in BK maze but yeah, bitta luck there'da been plenty of deaths both ways
