First listen through gave me more of a Thom Yorke solo album vibe than a Radiohead one. We'll see how it goes after a few more listens.

Are you in 8th grade or something? My suitemate with a natural sciences major did that earlier this year, so it's not just something middle schoolers/high schoolers do. Weird. The only things at my school that the bio students dissect are fish and baby pigs. I did a worm and a frog in grade school and a baby pig in high school. Anatomy students at my high school did cats as well, but I didn't take the class. On a funny note, my frog was a hermaphrodite.

Although this isn't a good thread to get into that. I'd have to agree. I only read antiquiet.com for music stuff. npr.org can have some mildly decent interviews sometimes, but I really only use them when they stream an album before it's released.

Keep shaving it, it seemed to work for thinning out my hair a bit. It also makes the hair grow at a faster pace. If you get your hair cut at the barber's you can ask them to thin it for you. They have these special scissors that work really well, I've been getting my hair thinned since as long as I can remember :thumbup: This. Those things are truly a life-saver. So George Clooney, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Ryan Gosling are on campus filming for a movie today. Let the star hunting begin! ...After I get back from a doctor's appointment.

I still think that the sax solo that I saw at our local blues fest was better, but that was still pretty sweet. Today I found out that they shut down our basketball arena to begin prepping it for George Clooney to film scenes from his new movie there tomorrow. So pumped to possibly see him around. Other than that, just a normal day of school. My stomach growled through the entire 75 minute philosophy class I just got out of, so I'm off to Subway!

Had a dentist appointment earlier. All is well there. Gave my girlfriend her present in the five minutes we had together today. I had class, then she had class, then I had the above-mentioned appointment, then she had practice. We're both too damn busy. Trying to decide on whether I want to go to Chicago or Cleveland to see Queens of the Stone Age. I'm leaning towards Chicago because my younger brother has a choir concert there on the same weekend and I can mooch a hotel room from him.

So QOTSA are in Cleveland on March 30th. Tickets are only $30 and go on sale on the 17th. Wish me luck. EDIT: Change of plans, going to the Chicago show pending the age requirement.

Watched the pre-show for the Grammys to see my favorite band, The Black Keys, win 2. Don't really care about tonight's show all that much, but I'm staying up to watch it because my girlfriend has practice from 4-11:30. Yes, seven and a half hours. Should I give her her Valentine's Day present tonight after midnight or wait until tomorrow when she's probably going to be stressed with schoolwork?

Love the extended LoTR dvds! <3: Sitting here trying to act busy while my girl does homework. She canceled on her friend coming tonight because she has too much to do. I feel bad for her. She's been so damn busy the past few weeks and it's really wearing her down. Thankfully this is the last week of it and she'll finally be able to take a well deserved break. It'll also give me the chance to move forward in our relationship. I've been holding back because I don't want to stress her out anymore than she already is. Bad timing for Valentine's Day to be this week. Kinda leaves me in a pickle.

My family has never had any trouble with drugs or alcohol, but gambling has been a SERIOUS issue. I always try to be aware of this fact whenever I'm somewhere that gambling is taking place. Since I'm only 19, I cannot go to casinos or any place like that, but poker tournaments at friends' houses (mostly online though), March Madness brackets in the Spring, and random contests are my gambles of choice. I've won and lost quite a bit of real money in poker tournaments with my friends, but I've never played with real money online. There was a point where I'd play online poker for 4-5 hours a day using fake money, but I shook that habit quickly because I knew it was a slippery slope. My workplace has a March Madness bracket every year that I get into for $5, but that's not really a big deal. I also allow myself $20-30 to gamble with at my parish festival in the fall.

My girlfriend's ex is coming to visit her today. He may get there before I get back to campus, but I'm not worried. Why? Because he's in seminary studying to become a priest. Also hope you feel better Furah!

Ahh! So jealous! I heard from their Facebook page that they're going to announce a tour on Monday of smaller venues in which they're going to play their self-titled in its entirety. Hoping for something a bit closer to me. :pray:

Went home for tonight. Going back to campus tomorrow afternoon. Just had to get out to get a Valentine's Day present sometime this weekend and figured I'd fulfill my son-ly duties by visiting my parents at the same time. Got back at my house and found that my bedroom has been recarpeted and my bathroom has been repainted - big changes that I was unaware of until now...

So about a half hour ago my suitemate decides to microwave some mac n cheese for a late night snack. Thing is, he didn't put any water in the cup. Smoke starts bellowing out of the microwave, and the dummy opens the microwave door and starts fanning the smoke away from the fire alarm. I rushed to open all the windows of our dorm, but it wasn't long before the fire alarms in our room start going off. I close the microwave door to prevent any more smoke from coming out, unplug it, and take it to an open window before opening it again. So the campus police show up, but of course my suitemate had fled the scene of the crime by that point, so I had to deal with them. "It wasn't my fault, I swear!". Now our room smells like burnt cheese. I don't know if I'll have to rewash all of my clean laundry again because it smells. We'll probably keep the windows open all night, so our room's going to be freezing cold. Overall, an interesting Monday night, but I would much rather have had an uneventful one.
