    Today...

After missing 3 days of classes to go to Chicago for an extended weekend, today I learn exactly what I missed and how truly screwed I am for this week. Go easy on me college, please!
  2. My ears are still ringing from Queens of the Stone Age on Friday night. Probably one of the, if not the, best concert I have ever seen. My friend in I were on the floor about 15 feet from the stage on the right speaker side. They played their entire self-titled album as planned including The Bronze. First encore was Little Sister, Monsters in the Parasol, Tangled Up In Plaid, and Burn the Witch. Second encore was Someone's In the Wolf, Sick, Sick, Sick, and A Song for the Dead. At one point, Josh picked up a romance novel that someone had in the crowd and started reading it aloud to us. Absolutely hilarious. EDIT: Found a video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjurG75qRdY [hide=Videos] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84N03dPahiM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tptawfYiWQc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAJ2YbM7C18 [/hide]

Have you tried the 4.0 Beta? I was getting sick of Firefox 3.whatever and almost switched to Chrome until I realized that I hate it. 4.0 is a good medium between the sleekness of Chrome and the usability of Firefox. Just downloaded it. Seems to be working; I'll try it out. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Today...

Firefox has done nothing but crash for me for the last 2-3 weeks. I've tried reinstalling it and everything but nothing's worked. I switched to Chrome. Long day of classes. Got what classes I'll be taking for next semester, but not the time slots for them. Thought I was going to declare my Information Systems major today, but my advisor persuaded me into just taking a few introductory courses and seeing how it goes. It all goes well, I'll declare at the end of the fall semester.
  5. Oh, what a coincidence that this gets bumped. I just beat it over Spring Break. Didn't have a chance to try anything outside of the story mode before I went back to college. Damn good game if I do say so myself.
  6. Underwear is one catchy mother[bleep]ing song. I like them. Definitely growing on me the more I listen.

My thoughts exactly. Probably won't see it.

Oooo, TSO was my 2nd concert ever. Still by far the best light/effects show I've ever seen. Was it weird seeing them in the non-holiday season?
  11. She literally trended on Twitter all day. If this happens every Friday... Her voice *shutters* is so nasally when she says Friday. Don't get me started on the songwriting.

Looks awful, wasn't awful. I had the same notion, but it was actually pretty decent. Worth my time for sure. Interesting. May have to check it out now. And Xavier lost, therefore I am pissed.

I love the actors in Paul, but god did that movie look awful. It'll probably be a basketball watching day all day today. Going to a viewing party for the Xavier game at 7.

    Today...

Was locked out of my dorm room for ~30 minutes waiting for my roommate to get back from class before I texted him. Turns out he had skipped class and was taking a nap the whole time. Lesson learned.
  16. I'm sorry, but are individual album release topics necessary? I mean, even the ones from fairly well known bands hardly make it to two pages (King of Limbs, The Suburbs, and Wasting Light to name a few) not to mention bands that the average Music, Movies & Television visitor will probably never listen to. (This, What Separates Me From You, and Marrow of the Spirit come to mind from recently) Don't take this personally, as it's not directed at you. I just think that we should have some centralized place to discuss music releases and maybe even news/tour/festival announcements, because these topics just tend to clutter up the front page.

The Killers are good indie rock? The KILLERS!? Oh lord. If you do actually like really indie stuff try Neutral Milk Hotel. Not everyone's thing, but truly amazing. Yeah, the Killers are definitely indie rock. Why are you criticizing my taste in music? That just doesn't make sense. They have plenty of good songs. I think Neutral Milk Hotel is meh anyway. Indie Music: "In music, independent music, often shortened to indie music or "indie", is a term used to describe independence from major commercial record labels, subsidiaries and an autonomous" If you are talking about "the killers" I know of they aren't indie rock. thats just being really gay. search the term for rnb, the rnb today doesnt stick to it. but music genres evolve and its commonly accepted that indie is like hipstery rock pop bands. like the strokes :) my mates just got into the recording industry and he uses indy music in the way u quote it, and its just irritating! the fact it comes form an independant label says nothing about the genre or sound.. so lets just say the killers are indie \:D/ [/hide] Indie? No. Rock? Pushing it. Pop? Yes. Anyway personal opinions will vary. I'd have to agree. Especially their most recent album from what I've heard.
  19. Keller Williams concert was ok. It was fun for about 45 minutes, but after that it just got repetitive. We left early. My quest this week is to get tickets to see the National for their homecoming concert in May. So my spring will hopefully consist of seeing Queens of the Stone Age, The National, and the Black Keys. Best. Spring. Ever.

    Today...

I think my co-worker gave out my cell phone number to random girls that he met while partying with friends in Austin, Texas. I've been getting texts from random people all day today. "Hey [his name], this is [her name] from last night." Time to think of a way to get back at him...

    Today...

Just finished my last class. SPRING BREAK! Too bad it's raining, my girlfriend left while I was in class, and I don't get picked up for another 5 hours.
  22. Over of course. The custodians on campus here always put it under when they clean our bathrooms. I always have to change it.
  23. My Morning Jacket is counting down until the release of their new album by releasing songs from their 5 day New York City performances as free downloads. http://mymorningjacket.com/T5/ All you have to do is sign up for their email mailing list.
  24. Double post, blah blah blah. Contrary to the above post, the Black Keys are not being opened by Cage the Elephant. Instead, they're being opened by Booker T. Jones (from Booker T and the MG's). I'm really excited to see a music legend like him live. Hopefully he'll play a song or two with the Black Keys too since this is his only date with them! Anyways, I just bought tickets to see Keller Williams on Friday. He's an acoustic guitarist/multi-instrumentalist who uses a lot of looping devices during his shows. Yes, it's a gimmick, but it should be fun. Going with my father and my little brother (they're picking me up from school for Spring Break). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAI3QgssxKA
