However, a PC is much more of an investment then a console is. If you get a console at the start of its lifespan it'll cost (at least for the 360) $400 for the console and basic's. Now please keep in mind that most consoles life span goes on for (roughly) 5 years or so before it is outdated. Meanwhile I know (personally) that I have gone through possibly 3 PC's within 5 years, maybe 6 years. There becomes a point with a PC where upgrading it doesn't really help unless you really plan ahead, because newer chipsets won't be compatible with your motherboard or something like that. Too much to argue with, one thing xbox and ps2 were very obviously way behind PC's when they came to the end of their 5 year life, but there was one very different point.
