  1. *delete double plz* Sry, I'm used to "edit" button being on the right side...
  2. I wear my quest cape over my thieving cape, and I'd wear it over many other skill capes as well if I had them. A skill cape shows how much time you've spent clicking, doing mundane and monotonous tasks, requiring only a limited and specific knowledge of the Runescape world. I don't really want to wear something that says "I've been doing something over and over again for who knows how many hours." Why would I respect someone for spending more hours than I do playing the game? A quest cape, however, indicates that I know the game and what is in it, and can use the most convenient methods of obtaining what I want when the need arises (penguin hide and seek, I can access all areas and use a myriad of transportation methods to reach them, when my friends can't). It says, whatever you're doing, I've probably done before; wherever you want to go, I've been there and can get there using fairy rings, gliders, instant-gnome trees. I have access to the entire game area and can take advantage of most aspects when a new update is released. I get the most out of my $5 per month exploring new content rather than milling over the same clicks over and over again. (Unless doing that floats your boat, of course) But why would completing all the quests earn respect either? Good job, you did something anyone else could do if they had the time, and were willing to spend it making a million runes, or updating our quest completion list. We kid ourselves when we say people with capes deserve other people's respect. Respect should be given to people just for doing what they want to do in the game, and how they act, regardless of how much time they want to spend playing it. The capes don't tell me anything about the person that would increase or decrease my respect for them. Why should it? And if not the person, why the hell would I respect a cape? I respect people for who they are, not what they can do.
  3. I voted for Myreque, but just end a quest line already... I can't remember all of them =| But I want another Garden of Tranquility type quest \
  4. I had some time so I worked on it a little bit. The colours are only for testing.
  5. I was wondering if anyone was going to say that  Thanks for all the suggestions. Gr, I'll have to wait until I have more free time to work on it :(
  6. Heya, it's been a while since I came here. Working on something new. What I have so far: The hands, swords, and bottom half of the armour aren't done. (And I got really lazy with his right arm cuz I didn't know how to do it. I'll probably redraw it so it's more consistent with his left arm.) Just hoping to get some CCing in before I continue. I think his legs might be too short... or something. Thanks a bunchas.
  7. The biggest cabbage celebration of the summer is tomorrow. Don't miss your regular dose of green cabbagy goodness.
  8. HYT! The OoC is back to bring you another cabbage-filled event. Hope to see you there! ~Iggy (^I think it's an hour off) Hold on to your chef hats fellas cuz the OoC is back to bring you even more green cabbagey goodness. The whacky cabbage cult is back with awesome news for all! After four (count them, four!) years of picking, the Order of Cabbage has reached not one, not two, not three, but four million cabbages!!!! Thats a whole lot of cabbage! And what better way is there to celebrate four million cabbages than with our fifth Cabbagepalooza, our almost-but-never-quite-annual celebration of everything green, good and cabbagey? Cant think of anything? I thought not... Date: Sunday, August 17th 2008. Universal Time (UTC/GMT): 7:00 pm Australian Capital Territory: 3:00 am (I think?) Central European Summer Time (+2): 9:00 pm Western European Summer (UK) Time (+1): 8:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (-4): 3:00 pm Central Daylight Time (-5): 2:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time (-6): 1:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time (-7): 12:00 pm Location: The cabbage patch northwest of Draynor Village will be at the center of our celebrations. World (F2P): 7 (OoC world); if full: 117 (OoC back-up world) Inventory Essentials: Woodcutting axe, tinderbox, 30gp Note: Event directions will be given on Ignite 168s clan chat. Let's take a look at this year's line of events. Freak Train: Why not celebrate four million cabbages than by parading through the streets in style! The following is the official gear used by real Runescape cabbage pickers! Not only will it double your cabbage picking xp, make your cabbage greener, and increase the fun-factor quintuple-fold, they are also made from the finest Kharidian silks helping you score more hot chicks (or guys, of course)... Honest! Don't forget to visit the hairdresser for black medium-length hair and a clean shave a la Blackbane. Fire Fest: Although you guys all did an awesome job clearing out the onions and potatoes during last month's Cabbage Conquest, it's time again to clear out the evil Potonions. While parading through the streets we'll be chopping down a few trees for some Onion-Potato-Burninating! Falador Find-me: Passing by Falador? Might as well have a few rounds of hide and seek. We will be having three rounds of Falador Find-me (aka. Falador Raid). There will be some small prizes for the winners. Cabbage Bombs: And what would a cabbage celebration be without the Order of Cabbage's signature event? The sky will turn green as heads of cabbage come pummeling down on our favourite Runescape locations. 1: Cabbage bombing Karamja (Bring 30gp) 2: Cabbage bombing Rimmington, burning onions and picking the cabbage at Melzar. 3: Cabbage bombing Falador 4: Burning some potatoes and onions, then heading out to bomb Lumbridge and Al-Kharid 5: Going up to bomb the wilderness, then a few rounds of ClaWs. For more on the OoC visit our forums. Hope to see you there! Kah Bah Gee!
  9. If I'm doing a quest or something that doesn't require timed clicked I go for HD. Otherwise it's mostly LD
  10. Ignite 168: P2P Thanks for putting this together. ^_^
  11. Since it sounds like the minigame is in the guild, and the minigame is between two teams, the runecrafting requirement is going to be low enough for an adequate number of people to be on each team. So don't get your hopes up for a high rcing requirement unless the minigame is getting all it's players from one or two themed worlds. *adds another vote hoping it isn't a rc pyramid plunder* EDIT: Oh and this is by far the most interesting BTS I've come across in a long while.
  12. Phats, santas, and Halloween masks fit that description. : Might want to add that they'd be untradable or people could be buying items that end up being resold, even if they aren't worth as much.
  13. - You could only withdraw your items in unconventional increments. - A full bank meant you needed to withdraw and deposit items so they actually appeared on the screen. (argh!) - People showing off their gold near the 'certers. - The dark hole. - Click click click, powerfishing/mining and complaining about the new hard/soft mining rocks. - Trying to find the nearest bed to ward off your fatigue. - All the bubbles on people's head showing what they are doing. (< miss them) - You know what "@" was used for. - The glitch in the wall of Varrock sewers near moss giants. - Not picking up the holiday drops because you didn't think of the long-term benefits of having one. #-o Edit: To answer the question properly, "When you remember the above" ;)
  14. Slayer hasn't done anything for me... I'm surprised agility is that high. Compared to a f2p account, the energy regeneration is just awesome.
  15. I'm pretty sure mine was through Law runes. Running them on world 66. Now I can make 'em myself. :)
  16. Iglw replied to zdavenz's topic in Forum Games
Toescape. Instead of humans, all the characters are replaced by giant toes. Not sure where I got that from.
  17. Changed that, thanks. If any Tip.it admins (or whoever) are reading this, charcoal's also listed as a required item on Tip.it's guide, but then it says to get it from behind the crate. :!:
  18. Whoamg. Took me sooo long to find the add reply button. *ahem* Thanks a bunch for getting the boards back up. ^^ (The online tags are covered by the quote button though)
  19. So far I've gotten various (many) scimitars, pirate clothing, uncut gems, metal bars, gp. And you can get caught by the officers. Unless there are some rarer items, I haven't gotten anything special yet. And I don't know about the summoning and hunting rewards.
  20. Thought I'd make a quick guide until a better one is written, especially with the forums being redone and all. Fun (long) quest with lots of puzzles, but if you want spoilers... :P I wasn't planning on writing a guide so no during-quest pictures I'm afraid. Sorry for any omissions/mistake in advance. Hope you find it useful. Requirements: Level 60 Agility Level 63 Thieving Level 66 Crafting Level 69 Smithing The Great Brain Robbery Required Items: Diving Apparatus (and Fishbowl Helmet) - Recoverable from Murphy at Trawler Fishing. 25 Ectotokens Pirate Clothing (set of 4 items, bought from Mos Le' Harmless) Book o' Piracy (Replaceable by Bill Teach) 2 Bronze Wires Hammer Ghostspeak Amulet Some gold for beer. Charcoal (Optional, can get during quest) Recommended: Teleport runes, energy potions, extra gold for charter ships, etc. (You might even want to consider setting your POH to Rimmington for the tele) Map of Boats (I always get the islands mixed up maybe some others might too... *shrug*) Braindeath (From the quest with 'rum,' zombies, 50% Luke) Mos Le' Harmless (With the pirate colony, Rum Deal mini-game, teleport to Harmony) Harmony (Quest with Monks, Zombies, underground tunnel, Barrelchest anchor) Dragontooth Island (Ghosts ahoy quest, 25 ectotokens) Getting Started Items needed: Pirate Clothing - Speak with Bill Teach and you will ask him about Rabid Jack. - Bill will tell you to go to a prison called The Rock to find Young Ralph - To get there you will need to head to Rimmington and talk to the Custom Officer there with Pirate Clothing - He will ask you a series of questions that you will have to answer. I'm not sure how this works but my answers were "That's one of your ships!" and "Is this a trick? That ship was sunk!" The questions/answers may be different for you. - Once you have proven yourself to be a pirate, deposit all your items in the locker (ie. bank) and he will teleport you to the prison. Getting Young Ralph's Help - Make an accordion pump thing! - Pick up the tin cup, search the rocks outside for an accordion, and listen and tap the pipes to get a pipe - Shout out to the guard and he'll give you quill, bottle of ink, and paper. - Use the tin cup on the door three times and the guard will splash soup on your shirt. - Use the shirt on the perch rock and a seagull will land on it. - Use the bottle of ink on the paper to get inky paper. - Use the empty bottle on the sharp rock to break it. - Use the broken bottle on the accordion to puncture a hole in it. - Use the pipe on the accordion to stick it through. - Use the inky paper on the accordion pump-thing to secure it. - Use the final contraption on the seagull and it will get sucked in. - Use this on the window between you and Young Ralph and you will get his attention. - He will tell you that you need to bring him marks from five captains in accordance to his oath/vow thing. - Head outside the prison and jump into the water to the east and you'll end up in Karamja at the gnome glider, head to a bank and prepare for some traveling! Getting The Marks The captains are: Captain Braindeath (BD), Bill Teach (BT), Captain Brass Hand Harry (BH), Captain Izzy No-Beard (IZ), Redbeard Frank (RF) Since it is more convenient to get multiple marks at the same time, I will be presenting them in the order I find most efficient (requires ectophial, though). I've labeled them individually as well though, if for some reason you want to do them separately. You will need to do a task for each of the captains before they will give you their mark. Items Needed: 2 Bronze Wires, Pirate Outfit, Hammer, Ghostspeak Amulet, Book o'Piracy. (Recommend Ectophial/Charter) - (RF) Go to Redbeard Frank in Port Sarim and he will tell you to get a letter from the monks on Harmony Island - (BT) Go to Port Phasmatys (You can skip this if you directly charter to Mos Le'Hamless and talk to him there instead) and Talk to Bill Teach to get his task, he will also give you a letter of recommendation. - (BT) Sail to Mos Le' Harmless and go to the top floor of the northern bar. - (BT) Talk to 50 Ships Mufassah to find out where the idol you need for Bill's task is. - (BH) Talk to Captain Brass Hand Harry, he will give you five hands. Take the fake hands apart and use your wires on them, you will have to complete a simple puzzle to put them back together. - (BH) Talk to Captain Harry again and he will give you ink and paper. Use hand on ink, and then on the paper and voila, your first mark! - (RF) Go back down and talk with Brother Tranquility to get to Harmony Island. - (RF) Ask Brother Tranquility for a letter. - Head back to Port Phasmatys and bank. Items Needed: Ghostspeak amulet, 25 ectotokens, diving apparatus and helmet, inventory under 27 kg - (BT) Talk to the ghost captain and go to Dragontooth Island - (BT) Go northeast and go down the diving chain. (Sorry, no pics, I can't go down there anymore) - (BT) Swim around to find and catch the karamthulu in order to get a key - (BT) Swim onto the ship and go up the stairs. Open the chest for the crowbar. - (BT) Go back down the stairs and go down the ladder. Search through the pile of rotten planks and you will find the idol. - (BT) Go back to Bill Teach as Phasmatys to get mark number two. - Bank. Items Needed: Brother Tranquility's Letter, Charcoal (Optional). (Recommend: Ectophial, Glory Amulet for Port Sarim or Gold for Charter Ships) - (BD) Ectophial or walk north of Phasmatys to get to Braindeath island by talking to Pirate Pete. - (BD) Talk to Captain Braindeath (the guy running the place) and he will give you disguises, telling you to convince the Port Sarim barkeep to stock his beer. - (RF) Head back to Port Sarim, talk to Redbeard Frank. He will tell you the letter's not good enough and that you should seek out Captain Donnie. - (BD) Ask the Port Sarim barkeeper about 'rum' and he refuse to stock it. - (BD) Buy him around five beers (last chat option) and he should be drunk enough to not recognize you. - (BD) Go out, put on a disguise and ask the barkeep about 'rum' again. - (BD) Repeat this for each of the five disguises and he will agree to stock the beer. - (BD) Head back (Ectophial) to Captain Braindeath on Braindeath and get your third mark. - (RF) Go down the stairs to the south and find Captain Donnie (Zombie) he will give you incomplete plans. - (RF) Use the plans on 50% Luke with charcoal in your inventory. If you didn't bring any, you can get get some from the crates behind the gate. - (RF) Head back to Redbeard Frank for your fourth mark. Items needed: None (Recommend: Charter) - (IZ) Head over to Izzy No-Beard in Brimhaven Agility Arena (recommend charter ships from Port Sarim) and talk to him. He will tell you to get him a brooch of a dead friend in the prison. - (IZ) Head all the way back to Rimmington, depositing your items and talking to the customs officer to get back into prison. - (IZ) Search your bed for a lock-pick and use it on the door. Head out, kill a guard and put on their clothes. - (IZ) Head to the top floor and enter the room with the filing cabinets. Search them and take the one labeled 'Wanda the Fish.' - (IZ) Trade it to the customs officer for the brooch and either head back to Karamja like before, or home teleport. (The brooch won't disappear.) - (IZ) Head back to Izzy and get your final mark. (That wasn't too long, was it?) The End! Items needed: The five marks, no other items. - Head all the way back to Rimmington, and talk to the customs officer to get your own file. - Put the marks into the files, give it back, and head back to the prison - Search your bed for a lock-pick and use it on the door. Head out, kill a guard and put on their clothes. - Head to the top floor and enter the room with the filing cabinets. Talk to the officer and ask for your own file. - Go back to your cell and talk to Young Ralph. - Cutscene, and you're done! Rewards: 2 Quest Points 25,000 Thieving experience 25,000 Smithing experience 25,000 Agility experience 25,000 Crafting experience Free access to Brimhaven Agility Arena Ability to catch Pirate implings (Hunter 76) Ability to steal from custom's lockers (The filing cabinets in the prison) (Thieving 63) Ability to speak to pirates on Mos'Le Harmless without the Book o' piracy. Ability to raise an ex-ex-parrot pet. (Looks like a skeleton parrot) Bill Teach supplies Magical Cage and 50 Ships Mufassah supplies ex-parrot (Summoning 71).
