90% of the players playing rs are 10 year old kids who don't even know how to spell "thank you" in whole or understand what "manners" mean. And with the shear annonymity of rs, you are most likely never ever gonna see them again anyway. Being brutally nice doesnt pay, though i do occationally spare a few souls (no puns intended) and tele them. The thing is, some of these noobs dont even bother looking IN THE WORLD MAP, or THE MANUAL. They expect someone to be there for them to teach them everything so they can be t3h pwn in one day. They can teleport to fali, but them don't even wanna use their own runes.

And verac is so pathetic with his gear. Being a 115 in full veracs he shouldve be hitting >13 non-stop even if you are wearing full torag or whatever, but hes actually quite pathetic, and ive tanked him a few times for fun and he usually dont hit at all :lol: If verac was a player i wouldve been mashed

In rl, would you withdraw your life earnings, then burn them all, just so that the economy has 50k less cash? a) no one would do it B) even if they do, its idiotic beyond doubt c) In RL, you get arrested for doing that :lol:

When you sign up your account, you agree that JaGeX has absolute authority and ownership over your runescape account and your runescape items, and so if you do get banned unfairly, theres no way you can retaliate to jagex. But this also means that jagex has absolutely no reason to get angry. The players can't sue, can't claim ownership, can't do anything but "[bleep]", and "[bleep]ing" really shouldnt get andrew so fired up.

Just finished reading the article. I disagree with it mainly. Firstly, in the REAL WORLD, the economy is never friendly or half ethical. You can either be stinkin rich and buy whatever you want to buy, or you can be ethical and never know what its like to be a millionaire in your whole life. Many people call merchants "[bleep] of gp" who have no ethics, but you do realise theirs millions of the exact same people on wall street everyday? Buyin stocks/shares/options etc for low and selling high? When you make money from stocks/shares/options, it is directly made out of making some other stock/share/option holder loose money. How would the other guy feel? I can honestly say, after retiring, that I have made a good portion of my money (10-20m up), from various acts some people would consider "unethical", such as getting noobs to fletch yew bows for free, getting noobs to smelt my steel bars into cannonballs, and other "phree exp" strategies. But how did Bill Gates made his billions? From being nice to his competitors' mothers and cooking them christmas hams? No. He bought up and dismantled all of the companies whom he considers "infidels". Had he been nice to the competitors, Bill Gates would never have had the software monopoly hes having right now, and probably wouldn't have a thousandth of what he has today (considering how annoying bad windows really is, the only reason windows is so popular is through Gate's insane marketing "merchanting" and unethical strategies) These kids who get ripped off in RS, are gonna grow up, turn around, and realise that the real world is not nice either. If they manage to learn this lesson, they would be taking their first step to enlightenment, and thus making rs a good teacher after all. And also, I would like to say something on skills. Skills bring money into the economy, sure. Skills don't take money off other people, sure. However both these things would be classified as CONTERFEITING MONEY in rl, and lets look at the insane inflation in runescape compared to real life. During the time when TB first got released, hundreds of thousands of players started alching millions of bows. Suddenly the economy has twice the gp it used to have. Now had the rares not been there to take the price hike, gps would be worth only half what they did before tb, which means everything wouldve jumped by 2 times its original value.

seriously, the guys who leave their p hats on lv 3s who gets killed by evil chickens deserve more symphathy that you. To be honest. You needed 2 slots to buy bloods, and above all you only needed max 100k at any one time. SO WHY DIDNT YOU BRING FOOD?? With food and dragonhide its actually not really possible to kill someone at lv 5 wild. And seriously, how many of these "im going to quit" posts will this forum get a day

considering a) most rich players keep their money in p hat sets. B) Nothing in rs besides p hats cost more than 20m anyway, if you wanna buy something, sell a p hat. And thats why Jagex isnt really bothering with this however, when p hats really do start getting up there (hopefully my yellow one :roll: ) The cap would mean that players cannot actually have enough money to buy, say, 4 p hats at once, and that would seriously mess up the p hat prices like hell. Greatest idea for these rich dudes: flood the rs economy, drop gps so they dissappear, and nail the system until jagex beggs you to stop. LOL I know its a pain in the [wagon] for merchants to make money, but hell, one staker can make 4 bill a day from phat set stakes.

lol thats why its nothing above lv 50. I nearly fell for the range trick. Its just downright cheap, as real duelists duel with stats and manipulation rather than, manipulation. Wait that is perfectly ok for a duelist to do, since all the duelists who win all the time does something to manipulate the other guy (ie 1 prayer, 99 range and magic, blood barrage, etc etc etc).

Ok, killing yourself over 11M? I dont actually think thats why someone would take their life like that. As a person who has known many who suffered depression over the years, its not the material loss you feel that drives you this far. It is the psychological trauma of being betrayed, left in the cold, not feeling like you are worth anything. I sincerely believe RS was not the pinicle of his problem, but indeed only the tip of the iceberg. It was a detonator for an exposive charge. And this is why I dont play rs as actively anymore - rs is seriously, seriously traumatising once you take it seriously. It is absolutely amazing what people would do just to get a few more pixles on their character's screen. This doesnt just happen in RS, but in RL too, when people kill for cash (ie pieces of paper), and kill themselves when they lose their life savings. This is indeed a very sad thing. My deepest sympathies for the parents of this young kid.

in saying so, "dragon seed drippler" is sitting on the fence for unforgivable lameness. It mightve been funny when jagex was still on their "lets make useless dragon items" rampage, but now its so overused, including that thread in the rants forum about dragon ipods etc, that its not really funny anymore. with ice, you always have to worry whether the next hit guthan does to you would be a 24 or not. With prayer, you can post a few posts on the forums, and still know that you arent gonna die a noob's death

This rule is pretty annoying. Considering most wars / pk trips are done on f2p, this would mess up a few people, lagging them, and causing them to die unfairly.

Really, after finally comming out of my eerie 4 year rs addiction, I can say out of the bottom of my heart that in this 4 years i have wasted 500 hours to achieve next to nothing. My marks at school drop from straight A+s to barely passing I gave up social contacts for RS contacts who have all now stopped playing Once a friend is off rs, you lose your interest in them, and you lose your only point in common, your mutual love for the game. On the other hand, I can truely say that I made a few real friends during my RS addiction, learnt how economics, a subject to which i never thought i would even understand, learnt how the investment market works, learnt how to deal with *ssholes. It would be difficult, if not impossible to say, whether that I would have achieved these things without the aid of RS, within this time period or not, but I am happy with where I am now. When someone says get a life, on one hand its a pathetic come back / insult as low as "noob" and "f u", but it really made me think, and yeah, might have a point or two.

free stuff kay? nah 1) How many hours do you spend in RL 2) How much money do you have in RL 3) Whats your skill total in RL 4) Is your friends list full in RL 5) According to eistein's hypothesis in relativity etc, and faunhoffer's research in discrete spectrum lines, what do you think, in reference to the subatomic particles in particular, is the most significant influence in these seemingly arbitary observations? non- insulting questions: 1) Why RS, and not dark age of camelot, guildwars, WoW, or whatever. 2) Do people walk up to you in real life and ask you for free stuff in rs? 3) Do you sell millions on ebay? 4) You do realise you have celebrity status in RS, a game of over 2 million players at least. Considering that my country (New Zealand) has only 4 million population, do you get the normal stuff normal celebrities get? ie. f*g*ts trying to fight you, paparazzis (however you spell that), annoying gossip people, etc?

I think zammy mage is northern co-ords. Since that place is probably northern, zammy mage pops up. I dunno actually, as I have got troll arena clues (very north) and got sara mage all of the times.
