  1. I just had an idea: so far lots of people have suggested Kudos Island or a new continent (which could be combined into one huge update - with Kudos Island being an island off the coast of the new continent...) but why aren't we looking westward? Yes, the Elven Lands! We've long waited for the day when the gates to Prifddinas and the regions north of it open up - that might already be a huge update. But there is more: leading up to the GWD release, some hints were dropped that were contained in a dwarven explorers journal (there was a thread about this on tip.it but I am seriously too lazy to look for that now) which also mentioned said dwarf going on an expedition into a poisonous swampland... which is what the Poison Wastes south of Isafdar are. So there are actually two directions into which the Elven Lands could be expanded - with an area easily as big as Asgarnia! Imagine: Jagex release a new quest in the Mourner storyline, which not only advances the story lots of players have been clamouring for but also opens up both new areas - north and south of Isafdar... I think that would deserve to be called a massive and "stunning" update. All of the above, of course, being idle speculation 8-)
  2. Uhm... no. German is my native language, and there is no significant difference between those two versions of the text. The only real change is the removal of the verb "to trickle" which in this case wouldn't have been appropriate in German.
  3. @VjuliusT: Yeah, you're right. But stuff like this (people cheating and then crying for help when they get their just desserts) just gets my blood boiling. Plus, the incredible lameness of the original post deserved some profanity, IMHO.
  4. Oh, and one more thing: Just because you can't playx a game without cheating, don't assume the same about everybody else.
  5. You want help and advice? Fine, here's some advice for you: STFU, don't even try to appeal the ban, start a new account and learn to PLAY BY THE [bLEEP]ING RULES! Seriously. You admit you cheated and then you come crying for symtathy? No f-ing way. :notalk:
  6. Also, if you have done Path of Glouphrie too, check your bank for the crytal chimes. These grow from the same seed as the saw.
  7. Kudos Island, anyone? :-k  Oh, and regarding the posters who mentioned Mechscape: I don't think so. BTS mentions "a stunning new update", and Mechscape would not be an update to Runescape but an entirely new thing in its own right.
  8. True, but the fact that they already know this is the second to last means the storyline has already been planned out to the end - which seems to be something Jagex never did with the other multiquest storylines before. I think especially with the Ardougne storyline they were just winging it.
  9. +1 My thoughts exactly. Good riddance to those *bleep*ing scalpers.
  10. Awesome updates. I don't care about the DA stuff, but the Grand Exchange is just the thing I've been hoping for, as I can't stand the crowds, lag and utter CHAOS on the big merchanting worlds... Now I'll finally be able to sell my TT items and slayer drops without losing my sanity. Assist system looks good too, I like doing crafting stuff for other people but there's always the trust barrier. And Smith-X is a godsend  Goblin quests were fun, but not really challenging. Still, it's good to see Jagex finally tying up some loose ends... and with that one off the content developers' checklists, perhaps someone can finally begin working on the next part of the Ardougne quest line? The big update announcement has more of a content vibe to me than a new skill. My money is on the return of the Mahjarrat, which might or might not include one or more quests or another GWD-like area... but will certainly have to change the wilderness in some huge way, making it the battlefield of demigods again :ohnoes:
  11. Yup. They did, and even announced it in a news post on the RS homepage.
  12. Information wants to be free :P Anyway, I thought this technique was well known already. O:)
  13. If it "involves jewelry", my guess is skill necklace and crafting guild :-k Which would be faster as far as banking is concerned, but the guild only has 7 gold spawns... and I'm too lazy to time both methods :-w
  14. Now if you could only find a Dramen Staff... :XD:
  15. I think Jagex put things like eggs into the game that serve no purpose and wait for someone on the staff to come up with a clever idea, which could happen years later. Then, when the update comes out, they can claim they had been planning it for 2 or more years :XD: (Same thing with the proboscis from Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup, BTW) I'll hang on to my eggs just in case; knowing my luck if I ever throw them away to clean up some bank space, Jagex will make use of them the very next week :P
  16. Never happened to me. What I do get quite a lot however, is clue 1 taking me someplace remote that requires some travel time, clue 2 taking me to the exact opposite end of the map, only to find clue 3 taking me back to where clue 1 was. I hate that. :wall:
  17. I recommend the Yanille mine too. Also, don't forget that there is a bank deposit box at Murphy's fishing trawler in Port Khazard; in my experience dropping the ores there is a teeny little bit faster than banking in Yanille.
  18. That's why I originally asked whether it's per cast or per amulet. "Per cast" to me means "per click". So it's 83 xp per amulet, which makes the whole method worthwhile :)
  19. That's what I said. 83 xp per cast. Using the spell on full inventories would only make sense if you got 83 xp per amulet.
  20. Why waste money and runes on a full inventory of unstrungs? AFAIK (correct me if I'm wrong, I never used the spell), String Jewelry gives 83 xp per cast, while using a full set of runes per amulet. So using it on one unstrung gives you 83 xp for 2 astrals, while using it on a full inventory gives you the same xp but uses a lot more runes. My idea: buy lots of unstrungs, bank them, then stand in the bank taking out one unstrung at a time, casting, banking the strung amulet and getting a new unstrung, repeat ad nauseam. Should be far more effective as far as xp / runes are concerned.
  21. Just visit the brother offering the enchantment you want (Caleb for cooking gauntlets, Avan for glodsmith, Johnathon for chaos). Make sure you have the gauntlets (do NOT drop them!) and 25k gold with you. Talk to the brother about changing the enchantment on your gauntlets.
  22. That's because its ingame name is "fixed device", it's just called "bazooka" by players. It's in tip.it's item database here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=4121
