Don't remember where i went to recover, hints please? : : EDIT: Start> TilbehÃÆÃâÃâør> SystemverktÃÆÃâÃâøy > System gjennoppretting? Nei, ikke system gjennoppretting. Den skulle ligge under Programmer --> TilbehÃÆÃâÃâør (kanskje?) --> SystemverktÃÆÃâÃâøy i Start menyen. The program "Recover Pro" is found on some XP machines, but not everyones.
-
Hmm - I have a wild idea. Your running Win XP right? Then I think you have "Recover Pro" Installed there. Go to that one and open it. Find a date there to recover your computer too, which you for certain know you could access runescape. Might be a temporarily solution but its worth a try.

I dont advice to keep the firewall off at all time, just to test wheter or not you gain access after disabling it. if you can, then we know its your firewall blocking runescape from loading. If thats the case, well then we can guide you further =)
-
Ah! Im very slow lol - sorry. Hmm cant even view main site? Well, then it does sound like your firewall blocking it? Where are you trying to play from? Home or school/job? Disable your firewall and then try to go to http://www.runescape.com. Did that work? This guy said on page one: Try that! I explaine in norwegian: klikk START --> Deretter KJÃÆÃâÃâ¹ÃâR --> Skriv inn cmd ---> deretter lim inn "ipconfig /flushdns". Post her hva det sier.

You play from swiftswitch? Well, theres your problem then. Jagex probably blocked that one. Download runescape's own client - not a possibly keylogged software from a unknown source. One more thing I forgot to ask. Have you tried to toggle between the different java options when you logg in?

So tell me, are you going to spend 200k to alch and get back 100k? Thats not very economic is it? Find something that you earn money on alching instead! Take the natures price (if you bought them) plus the cost of buying the raw material and see if that will give you a profit afterwards. If not, its not worth it - you might as well alch weed! I used to alch magic long bows to get to 99 magic. I chopped and fletched them my self and bought the bowstrings and the nats for 180 and 300 ea; 480 in total. Made a good profit of those since the bows alched for 1536. Unless you make a profit I suggest you find something else to alch. Here is Tip.It's own high alch calculator: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=high_alch_calc.htm

Have you recently updated your computer in any way? I suspect the problem is there somewhere - not being a tech savvy though. I have experienced white screen a few times, and when I have I have uninstalled my Java and installed it all over (the newest version). Then I have uninstalled the runescape client and reinstalled that too, and after that everything pretty much clears up. On my old comp (win 98) this happened a few times after a windows update - so thats why I asked if you had any recent updates done. Someone told me it had to do with the Java, but alas, I cant remember who. Heres the link to the Sun Java download: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Heres the link to the runescape client: (I suggest you use the client instead of your browser when playing on runescape). [Ah! I fogot we dont allow downloadable links! Go to http://www.runescape.com and download it from there. You find it in the left menu under "Downloads and Wallpapers"]

Heres how the chat works; Rightclick your private chat and choose: ON = Everyone can see you logged in, even those on your ignorelist. Everyone, except those on your ignorelist, can send you an ingame message which you can see. You can still see your friends logged in though, those who have private on ON/FRIENDS. PS; If your on someones ignorelist: You can send the person who have put you on their ignorelist but still have private chat sat too ON, messages, but they wont be able to see them. FRIENDS = Only those on your friendslist can see you logged in and send you messages. OFF = Noone can see you logg in or out, neither can they send you messages. How to toggle chat: Rightclick private chat and choose "View friends" and you will only see chat between you and others in the chatbox. All other chat, like the public one and gameinfo will be hidden. You can do the same with all other chat/game option. To get back to normal viewing (all chat and gameinfo) simply click "View All". This goes for the Public - Clan - Trade and Assist options too.

A tip; word your self respectfully and keep to the point. A message to them starting like this; "Hai2u! I z0mg hvae liek a quezz!" will most likely hit the bin before their desk. Dont expect a reply eventhough I happen to know they read all messages! :
-
any idea why it happens? i had it happen 2 times today so i just assumed it wasnt a bug after the first time If you logg out in the maze or lagg out, your timer reset.

Not long ago, Jagex warned players on their site to google names/sites other players asked you too, because you could end up getting keylogged clicking one of the search result links. Anywho - this is the google search result for "Flippi273"; http://www.google.no/search?q=flippi273 ... =firefox-a (Dont click any of the links if you dont know it!) Notice that one of the links say; Highest Rated Videos by Flippi273 at Metacafe - so maybe he confused YouTube with metacafe? Oh and one more thing; be carefull asking for links to sites in game since that could get you in trouble with Jagex if reported.

New Treasure Trails Wildy Co-ordinates
Sunli replied to Leesters's topic in Completed Website Corrections
I dont get it.. can you make a pic? I can describe it better I think: [hide= coordinate 20-07 N/18-33 E][/hide] Its lvl 36 east in the hobgoblin mine, between the two clusters of iron rocks. Right on top of the hill in the midle of them. Me and auntyali9 [rsn= Bramady] searched for a long time, interupted by those revenants now and then - that was harder then with pkers to be honest :? -
Nice story Peter, because it sums up beautifully how some customers behave. They acctually belive that "lower workers" are their servants and that they dont need to treat them with any kind of respect. Im glad that your manager was decent and nice though.

This happened to me this friday. I was walking from shop to shop with my arms full of grocerys when I stopped outside a florist looking in the windows wondering if I should buy some flowers, when a woman asked; "Hi, do you work here? Can you help me?" :o I raised my arms with the handbags full of grocerys and looked down at my winter jacket and then back at her with raised eyebrows. Still she looked at me and repeated her question! #-o

Theres a new hidden trapdoor west of Grand Exchange. When you try to open it it says; "It wont seem to budge. I wonder where it leads" Theres also a new shortcut to wildy lvl 32 (a few levels from the one that leads from trollheim). Dont know where it leads from though. I just ran pass it on my way doing a clue.

If you wonder why your account been stolen read below: First of all, and please answer this thruthfully; A) have you ever shared your account with any of your real life friends or siblings? a) If so; guess who owns your account now B) Have you ever logged in to Runescape from another location then your own computer? NEVER use the schools or the librarys computer to play runescape from! B) If so; That computer was very likely keylogged and every letter/number you typed was recorded. If you only logged in to runescape from your own computer, go here for help: Keylogger Help. You know what? I would go there anyway. C) What URL you usually visit when logging in to Runescape? c) You should ONLY logg in via Runescapes own client or via their main site http://www.runescape.com and NO WHERE ELSE. D)Does it happen you visit other "Runescape-related" sites except Tip.It? Have you ever visited a site who promise runescape cheats? d)If so; Its your own fault for loosing your account then. You went to a site who stole your password. Last but not least: E) Have you ever opened a mail (with attachement too maybe) claiming to be from Jagex? e) Jagex do not send you mails!

Someone with knowledge of this said; "I have helped run a website with Google adds and know exactly how easy it is to remove unwanted content. All he has to do is log into his AdWords account, Click "Content Exclusions", type the key words,(in this case "runescape") and click "Update". That's it. The whole thing takes less than two minutes." This is why I want to know why Queltar hasnt done so already. Not only are those google-ads, which advertise for RS selling sites, still there, but he dont even have a "report bad ad" function on his forum. Edit; Queltar encourage others to visit his site for tips on how to play runescape safe. Now, how does that look when his ads also encourage the same players to visit (no doubt half of them infected with keyloggers and phising-links) unsafe sites?
-
I get the impression Queltar have his own agenda towards Jagex, and it might not be so honest-looking as he would like us to think... :-k Im baffled over one thing though, Queltar; Why do you use google ads on your site which advertise for RWT? (Selling rs gold) Aren't that hypocritical of you? As a site owner it should be fairly easy for you to remove those ads. Please explaine.

Lol, almost similar story happened to me. I was standing in edge bank alching when I had to ask another player to stop spamming the chat screen (noone else could get a say). He turned to me and said; "Your a mod! What will you do if I wont listen to you?" I answered jokingly; " Send the evil twin on you!" Just as I hit submit the evil twin random appeared and whisked him away  :o I dont think I exaggerate when I say that the whole bank suddenly went very quiet :XD: - me included

"Runescape : an education that kids don't need?"
Sunli replied to supanova's topic in General Discussion
To Qeltar: Im fairly sure that the book you were refering to earlier "The Official Runescape Handbook and Strategy Handbook", is written by Tracey West alone, and by her alone. Jagex had no influence in writing that book to my knowledge. I do know they were looking into if she violated any of their rights before it was published, but to my knowledge that was all their involvement with it. If someone know more about this, please be so kind and enlighten us further :) I read your article and I have to say I find it a bit biased and anti-jagex. There are many things Jagex have done to make the game safe and enjoyable for kids playing. Playermods were introduced to the game to make sure kids have a safe enviroment to play in. On their main site they have a menu with helpfull links for both parents and children; # Getting started # Rules # Manual # QuestHelp # Parents' Guide # Safety & Security # Customer Support I have played for so many years now, and I do agree with you on some points. There are players cheating, swearing and behaving badly, but Iv seen that theres 10 players that are great people for every bad player out there! One more thing I have noticed that Jagex have done, is to play a video above the game window (in F2P) with a funny and informative plot to get the kids attention, where it warns against scammers and cheaters. Since RuneScape is limited to users aged 13 and older, I feel its the parents responsibility to monitor and guard their child while being on the internet. Is it really to be a good parent if you let your child unsupervised while being on the internet or other medias? :-k I might have more to say later on, but Im late for an appointment, so have to rush! : -
would it be possible to re-direct your phoneline just for a few minutes? If it is, make sure you redirect the line to one of his parents cellphone. Then after that, call them and explaine why to them, and say that was the only way for you to get them to see how he behaves towards you. That should keep him quiet for awhile :)

[hide=Author of this thread quoted from his first post] [/hide] I dont think people read books for the purpose to impress others with their reading skills. Nor do I think people read hundreds of books each year just to validate their intelligence. Seriously, why should they? I read books, and love my books, because they give me great joy. This is the reason why all we book-lovers read. I can travel to places I never been to plus I experience so many things via my books that ultimately broadens my horizon. A professor once said, that reading does things to your brain that watching TV will never do; It create images and memories, stimulates your imagination and teaches you about empathy. It is also proven that reading creates more brain-cells then visual experience. I have read so many books through my lifetime, and many of them I remember even after many years! When I read I can go back in time, travel through the ages and be a dutchess at a castle or ride the waves with pirates. Isnt that wonderfull! I also enjoy watching TV but that makes my brain lazy, because the directors in the movie have made all the work for me, my imagination is then put in sleep-modus. You really should try to read instead of watching TV, because your brain needs the stimulus. I bet if you start to read at least one book per month, you will be hooked, just like the rest of us : Im inclined to belive that the latter is the truth here :|
