  1. Wow. Not even worth a one-liner. It's not an argument as to whether something is morally right, but whether it is natural. If it can be found in nature, it can be considered natural [to varying degrees]. (Acctually, you cant use animals as an example of whats natural for humans to do or how we should/can act. a) humans use 1 -2 years to learn to walk B) It takes a baby 6 - 9 months before it can feed on anything but milk c) humans raise their children for 18 -25 years d) humans have a moral codex which animals do not have e) humans are naturally inquisitive, and seeks answers all their life; about religion, faith, philosophy , etc - that really divides us from the other animals If a rat mates with his mother that would be a natural thing for a rat, because thats the way they are intended to be, and it would not give their children genetic defects contrary to humans. If you see a dog eat poo doesnt mean its natural for humans to do it (acctually if we did we would probably die from the intestine bacterials in it or get serious sick from it). If you see animals behave in a certain manner that might disgust you, remember; humans are not animals.
  2. kelem_ryu you didnt just compared humans with mice? :?
  3. Judging by the news report, it sounds like it was almost initiated by the boys. There's no arguing that it's completely her fault, but I don't think it can be considered rape. She didn't force sex. Because of their age it might be considered rape. I don't know about Canada, but in the U.S. I think if someone has sex with some one under 15 it's automatically considered rape in court. That really is jsut plain creepy. Same as here in Norway. Also moraly, see it from this point of view; a) Both boys were underage B) Both was served alcohol c) Their mother obviously never behaved like a mother, and by that messed up those two boys severely
  4. Those poor boys obviously never had a real mothers love and are confused and messed up  That pedophile woman should be locked up and never let out again. Her raping (oh yes its rape) her two teen sons had nothing to do with sexual deprivation - but more with a need to control and humiliate. She is a pervert, plain and simple.
  5. I must say Im very pleased to see this initiative! The staff and the whole TIF community will all benefit from this - im sure :) I was admin here for a long time, when I had to quit due to health problems. I left with a heavy hart because I knew we were "understaffed". I have seen some great people be added to staff after that and now we might get a whole lot more mods in the future  A moderator - what is that person like? A moderator is humble and polite. A moderator puts the forums best interest before his or hers wishes. A moderator is devoted and alert. A moderator is helpfull and service-minded. A moderator is first and foremost a teamworker. Does this apply to you? Well then your application might very well be accepted : Good luck to all who applyed! Im sorry I cant be a part of it or welcome the trainees when they start out - please do your best and im sure it will all go well :)
  6. Eloquenty put Adamfostas! Lets hope it reaches the ones sensitive to reason, because im afraid it will swooch far over the head of the insensitive. Yep - thats what I was talking about in my reply :D Edited for spellcheck
  7. *Waves to darkdude* Hai long time no see : Ignore Fook dont even reply to his tantrums, lol, he's allways been a immature brat (I remember him from when I was admin here), but sooner or later he will realise theres something called karma - he'll get his  On to the topic; Everytime I experience what you do, I say "Thanks for helping bud!" and run after the brat and happily smack any monster that guy is killing. I even use a litle supers + att/str prayer to be sure to get the kill. One wonderful thing about them brats is they are lazy (why they attack your monster to begin with), have zero tolerance towards people behaving like them self (go figure) and absolutely no patience, so they will sooner or later logg out and switch world them self. Its a waiting game; make sure your the winner :P
  8. I can confirm that Jagex have massbanned thousends and thousends of bot accounts lately :) Greately thanks to all the reports made by pmods and regular players! Soon they will move on to F2P hopefully : Keep on reporting people - see, it helps!
  9. Anyone know the combination to get violet pentagon out of the Exchanger? I have tryed hundreds and hundreds of combos, for 4 hours and I cant get violet pentagons! I have even dropped all disks and looted for new ones at golries chest, but I never gotten any of that shape. I also noticed i never get red squares. Are they rare or none excistant? What am I doing wrong? :?
  10. Maria my dear friend! I am sad to see you leave TIF but I do understand you so well! I dont think most people here understand how much work you really put into this site, but I hope they appreciate it the ones who do. You are Tip.It! When I was a moderator here and later a admin you were allways there, ready to guide me through any hesitations I might have. You were a true friend hun, and I hope you know how much I cherish you. You have been TIF's backbone for years and you leave behind a successfull forum that other fansites only can dream about achieving. Thank you for all your efforts and time you put in here. Please take care and good luck with any project you get might involved in, in the future.
  11. Yup lol, I ment protect from magic Sorry about that typo :P
  12. Park your char in wiz tower and mage the lesser demon there, Bring a few telegrab runes, because sometimes he drop good stuff =)
  13. Also do some quests - they give great combat rewards sometimes =) Jagex have a nice guide to help you figure out what quests give what rewards: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewcate ... cat_id=806
  14. ^what he said Use protect from melee and mage him. Remember to keep a distance from him (he dont follow you) and just hit him with your highest spell.
  15. I am a lvl 125, 90 pray and 99 range, and I wouldnt range them. I tried all sorts of attacks on them and I prefer meleeing. I use veracs + neitznot helm and whip, sara brews, super restores, antifire pots and super set. I can kill 5 -8 with that inventory. Use protect from melee and eat/drink sara brew when the drag hit you with magicks. Super restores also restores prayer so no need for p pots. Looking over your stats I would strongly advice you to up the stats first before you go there.
  16. You have low cb stats so I suggest you bring 4 four dose energy pots, good food (monks/sharks), super antipoisen and only wear light boots if you have started temple of ikov quest, because you dont want to weigh to much running through those tunnels. Since your hunter is 70 I also strongly advice you to wear a spottier cape :) Beware of [bleep]es in floor! They can hit up to 20 (If I recall right) and they poisen you. Also bring a 4-dose p pot and use protect from melle when you run throught he tunnels. I would advice you to bring a friend who done the quest, so he or she can carry food for you. My daughter did this quest at lvl 67 so I think you will do ok :)
  17. Ditto^ I loved the article and had a good laugh over it. Im pretty sure thats the whole point of posting it in the first place; for our amusement. I my self find the markets in game a living hell and rather go to the dentist then to do trades. Its not only giving me a headache but its also draining! I do remember when I started out a few years ago, how confusing it all was and I didnt know about Tip.It. I was to scared to go to different sites since I was worried about viruses and stuff, and I know thats how many newcomers feel too - hence the general confusion amongst them about this and that. We all been there, theres no need to act arrogant and sophisticated towards the newcomers like some of you do. Just calling others "Noob" says more about the name-caller really  And to all the sourpusses that posted their displeasure over this letter; lighten up please. Its not like you have contributed your self with great posts or articles on Tip.It
  18. Clare my husband wanted to try your suggestion first, so he uninstalled panda and installed the zip.file. At reboot the error message was gone. he have ZoneAlarm running now and it works perfectly. He says thanks for the help by the way, to the both of you :) Oh and here is a piccy of the error message: http://upload6.postimage.org/582584/photo_hosting.html
  19. Thank you both so very much! He will try these advices as soon as he gets home. And about the tech support at his work; Bleh! most have summer vacation now, and the one that is left at work is no good.
  20. Thank you so much! yes the error message was still there after rebooting and disabling firewall. I will try the link you provided now. Edit: Dont think I dare advice him to use that TCP/IP repair, since he is using/connecting his laptop via a network on his workplace. What you think? :?
  21. My husband gets a error message saying something like this; "Can't initialize TCP/IP...." ( I will let him take a screenie of the message and translate it from norwegian to english if you need to know more) at startup on his laptop. Is this connected to him downloading and installing Panda antivirus/firewall? Noone of us know squat about computers (well I know some at least) so I would be so happy if any of you guys know what this is and how to get rid of it?
  22. According to the time zone converter that should be; "01:00:00 p.m. Friday August 10, 2007 in US/Central converts to 06:00:00 p.m. Friday August 10, 2007 in GMT" At least I think CST converts to US/Central time. Met, could you use another term of time zone that I can find on that scroll-menu on the converter? CST isnt listed there. :?
  23. If my blasted connection holds up I'll be there!
  24. I have seen so so many now, die at dragons and I have picked up tons and tons of stuff from ground from players using their metal armour at dragons. I have seen this so many times now, that I felt it necessary to make a post about it. Dont use your full metal armour if you... [*:3l9vuabm]are going to dragons, theres no way your armour will resist the fiery breath from a 10 feet grumpy dragon. And the metal leads heat, so you do the math. Instead, wear something that boost prayer and is resistant to magic,- and range attacks. [*:3l9vuabm]why use metal armour when you will be using prayer protect? Thats the whole point with the prayer protect! You could be nekkid and nothing would touch you when using prayer protect! Acctually, I do most my quests nekkid using prayer protect and only wielding a whip when I fight the final boss (yes im a scaredy-cat and proud of it!). [*:3l9vuabm]Dont use your finest outfit when you do skills. Why risk loosing your valuable items if a angry random appears? Go nekkid in the sun and do your skills! You can cruise on forums, chat with friends, etc, in another window, instead of worrying about randoms! Just remember to have sound on so you hear when a random appear. I have picked up a lot of stuff lately when training at dragons (I acctually give back if I manage to see the name and the person is online), but I allways gets sad when I do, because many die using their metal armour and for many thats all they have. Please be well prepared and you will be less likely to die when fighting these nasty monsters. For instance; bring sharks not cakes! A dragon can hit you with a 20 (70+ without shield or prayer) even if you are using the best protection against the breath, and you want to heal quickly. Also, bring antifire-pots! Without them you die very fast, because even I at 99 hp have trouble eating fast enough (especially if you lagg as well) if that pot runs out.
  25. I dont get ads at all here on the forums. But I use firefox with built in Adblock Plus.
